Belly Queen vs Red Dragon: Lyanna Eon vs Kyoko Akan

Although she got caught up training Clara Gaster, Lya still fully wanted to get her restarted career back on track, and make the quickest possible route toward a championship in LAW she could. Tina Armstrong already had a string of challengers after her, and Lya herself didn't have too many victories to justify challenging the Tigress for the belt...so sadly that would have to wait.

She did however give her frustrations at the booker's office, requesting, at the very least, a non-title match with one of the champions or contenders for a title...but all of them had been booked ahead on future shows, much to Lya's dismay.

She pouted, and was about to exit, when the booker mentioned that, while not an official LAW champion, Kyoko Akan didn't have a match on the upcoming LAW show:

"Non-official champion? In what way?"

"She made her own belt while the Middleweight tourney was progressing. "Belly Queen's title"

Lya blinked:

"That's not a thing. I refuse to accept that is a thing"

The booker only shrugged: "Well, it's either that, or waiting for any of the current title contenders to open up for the next 2 months. Which do you choose?"

Reluctantly, Lya accepted.

Even though she was slightly disappointed in not being able to fight anyone near the top of the Middleweight division...Kyoko's record was showing that she wasn't far from the top of the mountain. Maybe this would at least prove to be good for showcasing that she still got it.

And, in the middle of the very next LAW show in Tokyo, Lya's music would blare across the arena, with the redhead jumping around excitedly. So much so, that she heard an English speaking fan calling her on to "do a flip"

Happy to oblige, Lya did a backflip, flawlessly landing on her feet, to the pop from the crowd, and the fan in particular.

She quickly made her way down the ramp, high fiving as many fans as she could, before jumping onto the apron, onto the top rope, and doing a springboard backflip in midair, successfully landing onto the canvas in a Superhero-esque pose int he middle of the ring.

Taking off her entrance jacket and glasses, and leaving them on the apron in her corner, Lya was left in her signature pearly white sports top, red pants with white wings at the side, and white boots, doing stretches as she waited the Belly Queen to join her in the ring.

Well this was a fine way to kick off her place with her new situation. After spending most of her time solo completely after giving her old manager the boot she had finally started working with someone who clicked with her. She actually felt refreshed and when she was given another match, this one not for her belt so haphazardly, she felt excited. Now that her and Aozora were making a point of going for the Middle weight belt she had to show she was an all around great competitor..well correction she had to remind people of that fact, anyone with brains knew she was that damn good. But taking the time to remove any and all doubt was necessary.

Kyoko was all smiles coming out to her entrance, though it wasnt for her belt she still proudly carried it around her waist. Knowing that it was the greatest thing this company had as she strutted down to the ring confident as she could be. Ignoring the vitrol of the crowd that wanted nothing to do with her aside from the few fans she did have in attendance as she entered the ring looking at the so called 'Red Dragon' "So your the unlucky contestant for the day..or rather your pretty lucky to have to help me cement my legacy. Whichever way youll see it."

Once Kyoko came out, she felt the air of arrogance around the Belly Queen, between her smirk and a shower of boos from the crowd. From what Lya managed to read on Kyoko before the match, the woman rarely, if ever, cheated. That meant that the jeers from the crowd were simply due to the fact that the woman loved to brag about herself...and given their volume, she wasn't just all talk, and the crowd wanted to see Belly Queen's downfall...

And at her waist was her custom made "Belly Queen" title. Even in front of her eyes, she still had hard time believing this was for real, and even less so the fact that people wanted to beat the blunette for the title.

As she addressed Lya, the redhead would respond in kind: "Funny. I requested you specifically to serve as my launchpad. So don't be sad once you bite the dust, sweetie", Lya would confidently say, winking and sticking her tongue out at her opponent, as ref prepared to start the match off...

The redhead looked like a decent competitor, not one she was particularly afraid of by any means (Though admittedly the girl could be twice her size and Kyoko doubted any such intimidation would occur so that hardly factored into anything.) but enough to warrant the effort to be here. Non-title match or not Kyoko still wanted to be tested otherwise why else should she show up, and give these losers 5 minutes of her time they didnt deserve? Though this Lyanna had the arrogance for herself for sure, thinking that Kyoko would be a simple step stone for her to elevate to. In the back of her head that was sort of a compliment since Lyanna clearly saw that beating her meant something but the haphazard way she said it made it sound like she thought it was a matter of when she beat her, not the very serious 'if' it should be seen as.

Her fist balling in her hand Kyoko made sure to compose herself still. "You dont do what I do just to be someone else's Launchpad. I came to win and thats all on my mind which means its the one thing alluding you tonight." Kyoko said moving back to her corner, she had heard the ref go over a standard match enough times to know what the rules where to the point she could say them backwards so she just nodded her head and waited for the bell to ring taking her belt off and putting it in the corner.

Though Lya hit a rough start on the restart of her career, she believed that she was past the infamous "ring rust". It was much less a question for her "if" she could beat the Belly Queen tonight...and more of the fact that she had to beat Kyoko. Anything else would be a disappointment to herself...and her career beforehand, if she could be on the same level as the best in LAW.

Shooting a smirk at Kyoko's words, the redhead would quickly stand in an offensive stance, the referee not even requiring the answer to the question of whether she was ready or not:

"Nah. If stuff alludes me, I just make sure to catch it...and beat it to the ground so that it doesn't escape again", Lya would retort with a weird analogy, as the bell would ring, and the contest would be officially on!

She would carefully step towards the middle of the ring to close the distance between her and Kyoko, in case the Belly Queen decided to lead in with a swift strike of some kind...

...but, if that did not happen, she would keep her arms outstretched, as she visibly challenged the Belly Champion to a test of strength!

"You'll find I'm a but harder to catch and alot harder then that to beat down." Kyoko said looking at the girl as the match was getting ready to start. The plans forming in her head as she attempted to try and figure out a means to get off on the best foot in this match as she moved in close and went to lock up with the redhead, a common way she started things seeing at how it allowed her to feel out for her opponent. Though also very similar to her usual approach she would attempt to drill a knee into Lya's belly shortly afterwards.

Hoping that the move would stun her for a few seconds Kyoko attempted to try and hold her in close while she would try and hook her head and grab her shorts to lift her up and drop her with a back to back suplex.

"You'll find I am really really good catcher...", Lya would retort to Kyoko...weirdly thinking about how she was attempting to complete the Pokedex in Pokemon Ultra Moon as she said that.

Kyoko would accept the redhead's test of strength, with the two women attempting to overpower each other right away, and for a short while it seemed like the 2 Middleweights were equal in strength...

Whether that assumption was correct or not, no one would find out, as rather than try and beat Lya at her challenge, the Belly Queen would drill her knee straight into Lya's gut!

"GUUUUUH!", she screamed in pain, dropping the test of strength as her arms shot straight for her gut:

"Damn you...you cheap...AAAAAAAAH!"

Lya's complaint to Kyoko would go unfinished as the blunette would catch her head and pants, and lift her up into the air for a Vertical Suplex!

The ex-luchadora would be left arching her spine on the mat, cursing herself for not seeing the cheap shot from the Belly Queen coming...

"Oh save it its not illegal or cheap. If anything the fact most people dont see that coming when there facing someone like me is a huge underestimation of my skills and namesake!" Kyoko said as she pulled Lya in for the vertical suplex holding here there before dropping her to her back. The impact left her opponent reeling while she got up to her feet and moved to Lya's side throwing a punch down onto her belly once more before lifting her up to a seated position.

"But if you want to see what else I can do.." Kyoko would run backwards and go across the ropes moving in around her and jumping to bring a dropkick down onto her back while she's seated. Planning on working both the stomach and the back for whichever finisher she could pull off this time around.

Lya wouldn't imply that a strike when one was expecting a grapple was illegal...but she was fully of the opinion that baiting your opponent like this was cheap, and hard to dodge. But, at least she now knew Kyoko was someone to resort to these sorts of tactics.

Despite the revelation, Lya still had to content with the Belly Queen, as she quickly lowered herself after verbally defending her attack, and following it and her vertical suplex further with another punch to the redhead's belly!

"GAAAH!", she sceamed, defensively covering her well toned stomach, as Kyoko forced her to sit up with ulterior motive in mind, running towards the ropes behind the Canadian for a momentum gain...

...which was something Lya would see coming...but instead of ducking, would roll onto her back from her sitting position for Kyoko to hit nothing but air! Not done with her counter, Lya would roll further back, impressively and athletically getting up to her feet, while the Belly Queen sat up: "Did you want to do this?!", she would say, not running towards the ropes, and instead simply taking two steps towards the blunette, before jumping and delivering her own dropkick!

Kyoko's fist slammed into Lyanna's gut and watched the redhead fold attempting to cover her hurting stomach. Something Kyoko hoped to exploit a bit longer by forcing her up to a seated position and readying herself for a big dropkick. Though when she came in Lyanna quickly brought herself down to make sure that Kyoko ended up missing with her attack, flying past her and hitting the mat instead.

"Nggh.." Quickly scrambling to make up for her miss Kyoko tried to stand up as quickly as she could while the Red Dragon came in after her charging ehr way and jumping in the air while going for a dropkick of her own. Unlike Kyoko's however Lya's connected with her chest. "AAnngh!" The kick smashed her chest and sent her flying back as Kyoko was knocked off her feet and dropped to her but.
