Brandi Quinn vs. Katarzyna Zawiślak - Braving Adversity

It had been a while since the last time Brandi was on the show. She had been very busy helping out her friend, Dana Ashford, in training her students at her Shadow Fortress wrestling school, and while she still worked in LAW, she hadn't made any televised appearance for a while. But that would change tonight, as Brandi was slated to face a younger woman in a wrestling match. The mature woman was eager to return into the squared circle and show it to everyone that she was still a force to be reckoned with regardless of anyone whom she faced.

Making her entrance, Brandi showed her haughty smirk, walking down the ramp and making her way down to the ring. Receiving mixed reactions from the crowd, Brandi ignored them as she would then enter the ring, standing in the middle of it and sneered. She was confident in her wrestling ability, and any youngsters, regardless of who they were, would surely find themselves in hard times if they were to face her in the ring. Also, despite her age, Brandi was still confident in her looks, and many would agree that she was indeed a very attractive woman.

Now in the ring, Brandi would wait for her opponent to show up. She had heard that her opponent whom she would be facing tonight was young. Even younger than her daughter. A malicious smirk appeared on Brandi's face as she made her way to her corner, waiting for her opponent to make her appearance. She hoped that this match would worth her time, because facing a pathetically weak opponent would be a complete waste of her time. And LAW certainly had no shortage of pathetic weaklings who were only good for making money.

It hasn't been that long since Kate's graduation match. As soon as all the pains from that battle passed, she wanted to get back in action, while she made it onto the main roster with that battle, coming off of a loss gave her something to prove, as much to herself as to the audience and other wrestlers. The occasion she was given seemed perfect, Brandi was a veteran of the business and though she might not have wrestled many matches in law itself, the ones she did proved how dangerous she truly was. That did worry Kate, especially since from what she could gather, Braindi managed to get the better of Tina who while it was only in the sparring, had gotten the better of her before. Kate was done jumping at shadows though, if she had something to fear, she'd face it right there in the ring.

Bursting onto the stage, she would raise her fist up, standing with her eyes locked, facing the floor before a wave of cheers blew over her at which she would look up with a slight smile, bringing her arm down and flexing for the audience. As she went down the ramp, people on both sides reached out their hands which she embraced, clapping them as she made her way into the ring. She was growing far more comfortable with the audience now, it was almost pleasant if not for still immense stress of performing before so many people.

When she made it to the ring, she would squat, stretch her legs for a second before looking up and jumping on top of the apron after which she'd slip between the ropes. Inside she would make a circle, waving to the audience before getting to her corner and looking at her foe. A familiar wave of anxiety washed over her, she took a deep breath, then nodded to her opponent, signalling she was ready. She earned the right to be here, and now she would prove that!

Brandi smirked as she watched Kate as she made her entrance. She had learned that Kate had recently graduated from the Young Lioness Program, which meant that the girl before her was pretty wet behind the ears. Of course, it wouldn't do her any good if she severely underestimated the young woman, knowing that she might be talented and skilled enough to be a serious threat in the ring.

Now that Kate had joined her in the ring, Brandi kept her eyes on her. Soon, the referee would instruct both women to get ready, and Brandi stepped away from her corner, ready to face her opponent. Standing in front of Kate, Brandi sneered, folding her arms under her ample breasts. Having quite a high opinion on herself, it was only natural for Brandi to express her apparent superiority over others.

"Hmph... so you think you're ready to face a real pro, girl?" Brandi asked as she studied the younger woman before her. "Let's hope you won't bore me." It was clear that she was taunting her, and the referee had to stand between them to prevent any clash before the bell was rung. After making sure that both women were ready, the referee would soon call the bell, starting the match between them.

Walking to the middle, Kate at first intended to reach her hand out to shake but the other woman's reaction made it clear she'd be left hanging. Still, she remained calm to the taunts, it would take more than that to get her angry. Then again, getting Kate angry never ended well for the source of her ire. For now, she simply stretched her back and neck. "We are about to find out if I'm ready, aren't we?" She said right before the bell rang.

"Ding!"

Not wanting to waste any time as soon as they were signalled to start Kate would dart forward to engage in a tie-up with Brandi. She would at first try to establish some control in her grip and when that was done, she'd pull, gaining an attempt at an Irish whip. Instead what she aimed to accomplish was to pull her opponent off balance, then dipping one arm down between her legs for an impromptu scoop slam, trying to get a strong start into the match!

As the bell was rung, Brandi would seek to lock up with Kate, hoping to gain leverage over her. When she felt that Kate was trying to send her running with an Irish whip, Brandi would try to reverse that, but it was merely a feint as Kate immediately slipped one arm between her legs before she scooped her up and then slammed her down onto the mat with a scoop slam!

"URGHHH!!"

Wincing as she hit the mat, Brandi didn't want to stay on the mat for long. She would try to roll over and push herself up, hoping that she was quick enough to get herself back up to her feet before Kate could take advantage of this.

Managing to land an early throw like that was already looking good for Kate, of course, it was still early and as such, Brandi would be too fast for Kate to immediately capitalize on the woman getting downed like that. She needed to stay vigilant, she had no doubt that her opponent had many tricks up her sleeves and certainly had experience on her side, something Kate was keenly aware of.

Still, the best way to keep her foe from using any of that against her was to keep up the pressure and as such, when she saw Brandi roll away she would run for the ropes in the opposite direction. Rebounding off of them she would come running at her foe, taking off into the air and if everything went according to her plan, landing a drop kick just as the woman got up to her feet.

Brandi would rise back up to her feet, looking to recover as quickly as she could, but it seemed that Kate wasn't going to stay still as she ran towards the ropes, rebounding from them before returning back to where Brandi was, where she then leaped up and hit her with a dropkick. Brandi, who was on her feet, took the dropkick, and once again, she was taken down to the mat.

"GAHHH!!"

Brandi was on the mat, gasping for air. Gritting her teeth, she rolled onto all four, trying her best to regain her bearing, but with her on her hands and knees, she became an easy target for Kate.

Seeing as her foe had trouble getting back up after the last attack, Kate had no plans on making it any easier on her. Kicking up to her feet, she would get over to where Brandi was and leaning down she would grab both of the woman's arms, trying to yank them from underneath her opponent. If successful she would hold the woman's body above the mat with only her legs resting on top of it before raising her foot and planting it at the base of Brandi's neck as she would perform her signature curb stomp - Moonblade on the woman.

Brandi was on all four when Kate approached her, grabbing her by both her arms, holding her above the canvas. Realizing what was going to happen here, Brandi tried to break free, but when she felt Kate's foot right on the back of her neck, it was already too late.

"N-no, don't-UGGHHH!!!"

Before she could finish her plea, Brandi took the curbstomp from Kate, planting her on the mat. The move had left Brandi momentarily stunned, leaving herself an easy target for the much younger woman.

Kate had to admit it felt good to be cutting Brandi down to size like that. The woman started off dismissive of Kate and so far she's been proven oh so very wrong in that action as Kate just kept building momentum and furthering her dominance in that match. Still, she knew who she was dealing with and she had never been one to get cocky, even if this fight had been going perfectly in her favour, she was not about to let her guard down.

Wanting to use the occasion she just created, Kate would kneel down to Brandi to roll the woman over onto her back, then wraping her legs around her foe's head in a reverse headscisors. Then, as she started to squeeze she'd start raining down punches at the woman's midsection, wanting to put a lasting dent in her opponent's stamina for the rest of the fight!
