The DDT had left Chigusa disoriented, her head throbbing. This left her unable to stop Ivy from locking her into a single-legged Boston crab, where one of her legs was targeted and yanked back, causing intense pain around her leg and back. "UWAHHHH!!" Chigusa cried out in pain. And her opponent's position prevented her from crawling towards the ropes. Of course, Chigusa wasn't going to give up just because she ended up in a submission hold like this, so she would soldier through the pain, gritting her teeth and enduring the agony that she was being subjected into.
Megumi who was watching from her team's corner nodded in approval as she looked at her partner refusing to submit despite the pain. Between the two of them, Chigusa was the one with higher resilience and determination, and while she might have to work hard to put herself on the same level as Megumi, Chigusa Yuuki's greatest strength was always her endurance.

Re: Valkyrie Troupe vs Generations - Elimination Tag Match
Tiki smiled as Ivy managed to lock Chigusa into one of her signature moves. "Good work! Just hold her like that," she said.
"Right, for as long as I can," Ivy replied. She was up in a one-armed bridge, as she obviously needed her other arm for the Boston Crab. Ivy's bridge arm was braced against the mat, tensed to make it as immobile as possible in case Chigusa tried to pull it out. That would break the hold, it would just make Ivy drop down to her shoulders for a armless bridge. In fact, it would actually pull her opponent's leg back further. But it would also put Ivy's head and neck into a much more reachable position for Chigusa's arms, which would likely soon lead to the Englishwoman needing to transition to something else before she got reversed or forced to release her advantage.
Ivy could hold the one-armed bridge for about a couple minutes before her arm would start to tire. If she wanted to hold until failure, the rookie could hold Chigusa in No Escape for a good bit longer, but exhausting her arm this early in the match for a hold that probably would be able to force a submission anyways was simply poor tactics. So if Chigusa hadn't forced the issue earlier, Ivy would start looking to transition out around two minutes after locking in her hold.
To transition, ivy would release Chigusa's leg and push up of the mat, trying to turn onto her stomach and fall onto her opponent's back. Then the Englishwoman would quickly try to wrap her arms around Chigusa's throat for a Rear-Naked Choke to wear the Japanese woman down further if she couldn't react in time to stop it.

Re: Valkyrie Troupe vs Generations - Elimination Tag Match
Endurance had always been Chigusa's strong point, and she continued enduring the hold despite the pain. She gritted her teeth, beads of sweat starting to form on her face. After enduring the hold for a while, Chigusa felt her opponent suddenly releasing her leg, as if abandoning the hold. Knowing that her opponent might try to transition into another hold, it was a moment she was waiting for as she would brace herself for what Ivy was trying to do next.
Feeling Ivy's body against her back, Chigusa instinctively brought her right hand onto her neck to stop Ivy from locking her into a rear naked choke. And then, she would try to throw an elbow at Ivy's side, hoping that the sudden strike would at least deal some damage. Not content with just one, Chigusa would throw another one, targeting the same spot. From there, she would try to throw Ivy off of her before rolling to the side, hoping to give herself a breathing room to recover from the submission hold earlier.

Re: Valkyrie Troupe vs Generations - Elimination Tag Match
Probably the single biggest thing that a rookie like Ivy lacked compared to veterans of the sport like Tiki, Megumi, and her opponent in the ring, Chigusa, was the edge of instinct. Honed by facing off against the best for years and years, and seeing what the best do so many times that their bodies are able to respond to it before their minds even have to think about what to do.
It was that power of instinct that caused Ivy to find her arm walled by Chigusa's bony fist rather than sinking into her soft throat. The rookie knew full well that she would be getting choked out right know had the positions been swapped. Considering that Chigusa couldn't even have been able to see what Ivy had been doing, the Englishwoman had hardly even fathomed that the Japanese wrestler would have been able to predict the chokehold attempt well enough to defend it.
"GUH!" Ivy coughed as she felt Chigusa's elbow dig into her ribcage. Her advantage was fading fast, and if the rookie didn't do something, then she would be on the receiving end of some painful payback. With Ivy having had her Chokehold stuffed and no desire to take another elbow, she stopped her attempts at going after Chigusa's neck and instead tried to grab the Japanese woman by her arms to restrain her and maintain control. Ivy just barely stopped the follow up elbow from connecting, but Chigusa was still trying to force her way out. It was all the Englishwoman could muster to try to stay on top of her opponent's back, with arms, chests, hips, and legs all jockeying with each other for positioning. Ivy couldn't go for another hold until she had gotten Chigusa back under control, and there was no promise that the rookie would even be able to manage that.

Re: Valkyrie Troupe vs Generations - Elimination Tag Match
Having stopped Ivy from holding her in the rear naked choke, Chigusa tried to break free and pull herself away from the younger woman. But then, she felt the weight of her opponent on her back, making it hard for her to actually pull herself away. Clicking her tongue, Chigusa would try to steady herself as she would think of what to do next. Then, an idea came to her.
Chigusa would try to use Ivy's own weight against her as she would pivot to the side before falling down, bringing Ivy with her. She would try to have Ivy hit the canvas, with her own body being on top of her. Hopefully, this would leave the younger woman winded, forcing her to relinquish all sorts of holds she had on her. From there, Chigusa would try to pull herself away from her to regain her bearing.

Re: Valkyrie Troupe vs Generations - Elimination Tag Match
Ivy was really starting to doubt her ability to keep Chigusa under control. The Japanese wrestler was shifting herself to the side, eking her way further and further out from under Ivy, with he rookie having to try to play catch-up to stay on top. Her worries would be proven right once Chigusa picked her spot and flipped over, putting Ivy's back on the canvas, and Chigusa's back on her stomach.
"Urgh," grunted Ivy, more in frustration than pain. There hadn't really been enough height to fall from for Chigusa to really make it hurt, but it had allowed her to achieve her aim of getting out from under the Englishwoman and escaping her grasp. Ivy was a touch grateful that Chigusa wasn't interested in mounting a counterattack, as it certainly would not have been an easy position to defend.
Without any pressure being applied from Chigusa, Ivy stood up and began planning her next move. She noticed that both Chigusa and herself were blocking each other from reaching their respective teammate, so there wouldn't be any tags soon unless one wrestler managed to go through the other to get to the corner. It then occurred to Ivy that that could potentially be devastating if it happened, so she began a headlong charge straight at her opponent.
Ivy knew she had been peppering her attacks with feints and fakes so far, so she decided to play this one straight, attempting to catch Chigusa trying to call out a feint that wasn't coming. Ivy would try to slam her shoulder into her opponent's stomach and wrap her arms around the Japanese woman, then lift her up and carry her over to the corner where Tiki was. If Ivy succeeded, Chigusa would soon find herself with two Englishwomen to deal with, while Megumi was all the way on the opposite end of the ring.

Re: Valkyrie Troupe vs Generations - Elimination Tag Match
After escaping Ivy's grasp, Chigusa rose back up to her feet, huffing out as she would recover and regain her bearing. Seeing that Ivy stood in her way towards her partner, Megumi, Chigusa tried to come up with a plan to get around her. Well, of course, she also stood in Ivy's way where she had to go through her first to reach her partner, Tiki.
So, watching Ivy, Chigusa began formulating a plan, looking to go past her and tag her partner, Megumi in. And then, she saw Ivy closing in, and braced herself. But when Ivy was within reach, Chigusa was suddenly lifted up by her, with Ivy's arms wrapped around her body after she rammed her shoulder into her stomach.
"Nnghh! W-wait!" Chigusa's eyes widened as she was lifted up. Knowing that she might be in trouble if she was brought towards the other team's corner, Chigusa tried to stop Ivy from doing that as she would try to smash her forearm right at the side of her face before attempting to wiggle her way out. Though it was done quite frantically, which might make it difficult for her to stop her opponent from reaching her goal.

Re: Valkyrie Troupe vs Generations - Elimination Tag Match
As Ivy was hoping for, Chigusa proved to be unprepared for the rookie to go in for a straight bull rush with no strings attached. As a result, the Japanese wrestler was unable to defend herself from Ivy picking her up with shoulder digging into her stomach, and beginning to swiftly carry Chigusa towards what could potentially spell disaster.
However, that disaster was only still potential. Ivy still had ground to cover, steps to take before Tiki was in reach. This granted Chigusa precious time to try and find a way to save herself, and the elder purplette would make the most of it. Chigusa's arm smashed into Ivy's temple, stunning her and sending the Englishwoman careening to the mat as her opponent flew from her grip.
"Agh!" Ivy cried as she fell to the mat, her run unfinished. Chigusa had been more so flung into the corner of the ring rather than smashed. The rookie got up with a hand to her head, a bit off balance but still cognizant of the situation. Ivy made for Tiki's hand, not to enable a devastating team move, but to simply get her mentor in since Tiki was in a less vulnerable state as well as being more capable of capitalizing on the current situation. Ivy would lunge forward towards Tiki to reach the veteran as fast as possible, trying to get her arm over and past Chigusa before she could try to interrupt the tag.

Re: Valkyrie Troupe vs Generations - Elimination Tag Match
Thanks to her smashing at Ivy's head as she was carried towards the other team's corner, Chigusa managed to stop her, though she was flung towards the corner. Grunting, she looked at her opponent who was on the mat, and she knew that she needed to stop her from tagging the much fresher Tiki in. When she saw Ivy making her move towards her partner, Chigusa would make her move, looking to intercept her before she could reach the green-haired woman at their corner.
"Hold it right there!"
Yelling out, Chigusa would try to land a yakuza kick right at Ivy's head in her effort to stop her from reaching Tiki. If she succeeded, she would then turn around, standing over Ivy's body before jumping up, looking to drop her knee right at her side, hitting her with a knee drop. She was certain that if it was successful, that would stop Ivy in her track, allowing Chigusa to be the one at the lead at the moment.

Re: Valkyrie Troupe vs Generations - Elimination Tag Match
Ivy's hand reached out, Tiki's hand reached to meet it, Chigusa cried out as her foot shot towards Ivy's head. The sound of a sharp smack spread throughout the ring before a deeper thud replaced it. Ivy went down hard to the mat after having been kicked in the head, but not before she had managed to make the tag. Tiki was coming in, and she was ready to lay a smackdown on Chigusa.
At least Tiki had been ready, before the ref cut in. With Ivy being right next to the potential action as she was slow to get up from the Yakuza Kick, thus even slower to get herself out of the ring as Generations' non-active wrestler, the referee paused the action to ensure that the rookie was out of the ring before the action resumed. Both for Ivy's own safety, and to head off any possible attempts from Megumi to try to justify entering the ring herself. They acknowledged that Chigusa struck Ivy after the tag had been made, but chose not to penalize her considering the circumstance.
Ivy was eventually up and doing well enough, for somebody who had just been clocked in the head twice. Tiki used the lull in the action to speak to her protégé, "Nice job getting us started. All I could critique was that you had your other arm available to try to block the kick with during the tag. You need to keep your guard up, especially you, ivy."
"I understand. I wish you the best," Ivy said as she settled outside the ring. She was a bit embarrassed having her error pointed out, but she knew that Tiki was only trying to guide her. With Tiki in the ring, the referee prepared to to restart the action. Acknowledging that Generations had an advantageous position before the stoppage, he placed Chigusa in their corner, with Tiki only a step or two out of grappling range. It'd be on the Japanese wrestler to try to fight her way out, or she'd end up in just as bad of a spot as she'd have been in had the match not been paused.
