High-Flying Action: Blanco Sombra vs. Chris Hicks

Unread post by Luncha_Libre »

The following singles match is scheduled for ONE FALL!
To be won by pinfall or submission ...

Backstage, Blanco Sombra walked into the gorilla position with a nod to the ring crew. The luchador adjusted his arm straps, sliding them into place over his arms. His valet Holly pulled up on the top of his trunks, making sure everything was in place. Blanco made sure his knee pads were firmly fitted, his boots laced. Holly adjusted his mask, making certain it sat comfortably but snugly across his face. Getting the nod from the ring crew, Blanco nodded back to his valet Holly, then exploded onto the entrance ramp!

The fans greeted the luchador with a cheer as he threw his arm up into the air as his entrance music hit the speakers. Blanco walked down the ramp clasping hands with fans, while Holly smiled and waved from a distance behind him. The couple’s return to LAW had been an impressive one, even with mixed results in their matches. Now, Blanco was set to face someone fairly new to LAW, but a man that he was excited to share a ring with. It was time to see what Chris Hicks had to offer! Meanwhile, Holly took her position at ringside, looking a bit nervous as she crossed her arms and waited to see how this bout would play out.

Reaching the ring, Blanco got up on the apron, wiping his boots three times, then mounting the nearest corner. Chest to turnbuckle, Blanco threw his legs up and over to mount the ropes, and climb to the top rope. There, Blanco spread his arms wide, showing off his toned physique as he greeted the arena, flexing and striking a pose while the cameras flashed. Blanco twisted as he leapt off the turnbuckle, hitting the mat with a loud stomp. He paced in a tight circle, shaking out his arms, looking up the ramp to await his opponent …

Chris was backstage in his locker room drinking a can of beer there had to be at least six other bottles sitting near him though. Chris then got a knock on the door telling him to "Hurry the fuck up your late". "Yeah yeah keep your pants on I'm coming" Chris said getting up and taking a sip of his beer but also grabbing another can before heading out of the locker room. It was only going to be his second match in LAW and Chris didn't care too much, a match was a match and he didn't care he had wrestled drunk almost all the time anyways.

Chris reached the ramp entrance and handed one of the backstage ladies his now open beer can while still holding the other one as he heard his music start and we exploded out onto the ramp looking towards the ring and seeing his masked opponent. "Neat its one of those Lucha guys" Chris said to himself as he walked down the ramp fist bumping and high fiving fans just to have a guy in the crowd give him an entire six pack of beer on the way down with Chris smiling and thanking him before going to the outside of the ring setting the beer by the announce table and cracking open the one he brought with him drinking it as stood at ring side looking at the lady who escorted Blanco to the ring. "Ma'am" Chris said giving her a nod before walking up the steel steps and entering the ring.
Music
The Canadian wrestler decided it was only polite to introduce himself to his opponent. Chris walked up to the masked wrestler and held out his hand. "Names Chris and you're Blanco right?" Chris said introducing himself. "If you want a beer feel free to grab one by the announcers table" Chris added with a smile.

Blanco kept fairly quiet as he waited for his opponent to make his way down. Seemed like it was taking a minute, but there could be any number of reasons for that. Blanco nodded down to Holly, who nodded back, but kept her eyes up the ramp, starting to look a little nervous about what was coming.

Finally, Chris Hicks, ‘the Wolverine,’ emerged on the ramp. Blanco nodded as he regarded his opponent. A younger man, in excellent shape, he looked capable of impressive athleticism. Blanco would have to look out for that. More than that, though, the handsome young wrestler seemed to connect with the fans, one even giving him beer on his way down. Blanco nodded, impressed. Holly just raised an eyebrow.

Holly nodded politely as Chris greeted her at ringside but kept her distance. However, Blanco seemed impressed with his opponent, especially his show of generosity as he indicated the six pack by the announce table.

“Gracias! But how about after the match?” Blanco said, smiling. “A lot of beer in my stomach and constant flips don’t go together all that well, in my experience.” The luchador smiled, and stepped toward the center of the ring. He extended a hand, offering a handshake as a sign of respect to his upcoming opponent.

"If there is any beer left by the end of the match you're welcome to it" Chris said jokingly. "So who is the cute looking girl at ringside?" Chris asked stepping back a bit after the handshake. Chris finished up his beer and paused for a moment. "One sec I don't really have a place to put this" Chris said crouching down and setting it on the steel steps. "I already want another one" he joked rising to his feet ready for the referee to start the match between the two.

“Sounds good!” Blanco grinned, laughing it off. “At ringside there is Holly Matheson, we’re partners, we kind of manage each other. Don’t worry, she won’t pull anything shady.” Blanco nodded as Chris put away his drink, taking a few steps back to a respectful distance.

The ref watched Chris put the bottle down, then motioned for the opening bell. When it sounded, Blanco raised his hands and started to close the distance, motioning for Chris to go ahead and lock up with him so they could get this bout started …

Chris simply nodded when his opponent addressed the woman at ring side. Chris then heard the bell ring and mimicked Blanco as the two moved to grapple with each other. Blanco was a solid four inches taller than Chris but the wolverine didn't seem to mind as the two grappled attempting to push his opponent back towards the ropes. Chris usually didn't have a plan for the early match he usually would just adapt and then plan for the middle to end match. Chris took the quote of no plan survives contact with the enemy seriously when it came to matches, that and we just didn't really care to plan for them out of laziness, drunkenness, possibly a mix of both.

Blanco met the lock up, and the two men were going at it right off the bell. Blanco took a wide stance, trying to gauge Chris’ strength. The young man was smaller, but well built and unintimidated by the prospect of matching strength, it seemed. Blanco gave up a couple of steps as Chris pushed in, moving them toward the ropes.

Blanco had no plans to just sit there and get pushed, however. Waiting for a good moment, Blanco dropped one hand from the lock up and shifted on his feet. Twisting his body, Blanco grappled one of Chris’ wrists, and tried to redirect his momentum to trap him in an arm wringer hold, twisting firmly on the arm to try and trap his opponent with a sudden hold.

Chris began to push Blanco back a few steps before seeing the Luchador grab and twisting his wrist. Chris thought for a moment while Blanco had his arm trapped in an Arm Wringer hold deciding instead of anything fancy he would just go for a brawler technique. Chris used his free arm to send a punch to Blanco's face. If successful Chris would follow this up with three elbow strikes putting Blanco into a corner before backing up and shaking his arm lining the Luchador up for a corner splash!

Blanco wrenched on the hold, trying to keep Chris in place while he readied for the next move. Before he could, however, Chris proved that he could do just as much damage in one place, hitting a closed fist across his jaw! A series of elbow strikes drive Blanco into the corner, hanging him up on the ropes.

"Ughh ..." Blanco moaned, rubbing his aching jaw. Holly shouted a warning just a moment to late, as Chris came crashing down with the splash! "Aagh!" Blanco groaned in pain as his slender figure was squashed under Chris' incoming body, knocking the wind out of him!

When Chris splashed into his opponent he got an idea to show off his high flying moves. Once he drove the wind out of Blanco he pulled him out of the corner and let him fall to the ground. After this Chris looked at the ropes and smirked. Chris ran and jumped onto the second rope before doing a backflip off of it landing on his opponent. Chris had to admit the landing hurt a tiny bit but he just brushed it off and went for an early pin attempt on Blanco with the referee beginning the count.
