A More Fabulous Date

Dr. Lilly Becker had spent quite a bit of time today getting herself ready for a date that she was very excited for. She and Vera Sapphire, her opponent for the Apex Match, decided to go on a date after they hit it off in the medical room in the arena. Vowing to make a date happen when they both freed up time when they were back in Japan. And then in time, they found a day and time that worked for them. It was a Friday night, meaning Lilly had just gotten done with a full day of work and went right to making herself look sufficiently gorgeous for her date. She certainly wanted to impress Vera, but she also loved to doll herself up anyway.

She put a rich red lipstick on her lips, added make-up to the rest of her face, and got her hair looking sublime, letting her hair down for a change. To add to that, Lilly also wore her glasses–preferring them in casual situations. To top it all off, she wore a slinky black dress, showing just enough cleavage to leave enough to the imagination, but certainly hugged to every contour of her body tight, and it was rounded off with a slit down the side from the hip down to expose one of her legs. It was a rather expensive dress, and one Lilly only wore for special occasions. And Vera Sapphire did, in fact, seem special. She also added on a pair of heels, earrings, a necklace, and bracelets to complete the look. She loved an excuse to show those off, and she thought her date would appreciate them, especially with the earrings having a tiny blue gemstone on them.

Taking one last review of her look, Becker ended up very satisfied with it and proceeded to head to the restaurant that they had agreed on. Vera offered up either a Russian restaurant she knew, or an extremely high-end one with fine cuisine. Lilly chose the Russian one, deciding on the personal touch for her date, and to Birch & Rye she went.

Arriving there ten minutes early, Lilly Becker looked at her phone as she waited for Vera to arrive, a content smile on her face. It was a good way to get rid of any anxiousness she would feel waiting around for their date to begin.

”Hmmmmmmmmm…”, Vera would say at 12 PM, as she started to decide what to wear for her fateful date with Dr “Fabulous” Lilly Becker. The two rivals arranged a date right after their Apex match, one that Vera got very excited for the moment she was back in Japan, with her leg almost fully healed up.

Vera took a while getting ready, deciding just how much she wanted to knock Lilly off her feet. On the one hand, dressing expensively, but still conserving herself a bit would make Lilly potentially even more impressed by the next date…on the other, she loved to showcase herself at her best.

Then again, Vera thought, she had enough dresses to impress her potential dates to last a life time!

With that, her choice was made:

An expensive, custom made blue dress with golden trims throughout, showcasing her cleavage, but otherwise nothing else…sexy enough to impress, conservative enough to make anyone, especially the good doctor Becker, wanting more. With a trip to the hairdresser, a bit of jewelry, heels and a bit of lipstick and make up, she was ready to meet up with Lilly and make the night their’s.

Vera arrived right on the clock, seeing Lilly already waiting for her close to the entrance…

Despite how the nicely the Good Doctor was dressed… the first thing Vera noticed was the glasses:

”Oh my goodness…”, Vera said outloud. She already found the good Doctor quite cute… and glasses enhanced her beauty even more.

As she ogled her beautiful face, her eyes drifted down… and saw the black dress, showing just a bit of cleavage to entice the blunette:

”You look really lovely, Lilly…”, she would say, before offering her arm to the blonde: ”Shall we go in?”

Lilly Becker would look up from her phone when Vera addressed her and her face lit up cheerfully. "Thank you, Vera," answered the Doctor, looking over at her, looking almost stunned at the exquisite dress that her date was wearing. Indeed, she loved it quite a bit, looking back up at Sapphire with a warm expression. "I'm totally in love with your dress. It must have cost a fortune," said Dr. Becker, leaning in close. "It emphasizes your natural beauty," the blonde added softly.

Then, she placed her hand on Vera's cheek before giving a kiss to the opposite one. Then, Lilly would twine her arm with her date's before snaking her hand down to hold her hand. "Yes, let's get inside," said Dr. Becker, entering the restaurant with the blunette, leaning into her affectionately. Lilly was always like that--immediately becoming cozy with those she felt comfortable with, or had an attraction to. "This is a lovely little restaurant," said the Doctor as she looked around inside before they both headed to host. "Have you ever been here before?"

”Huhuhu… a fortune is nothing if it makes you shine bright…”, Vera would tell at Lilly’s compliment, right as the good doctor kissed her on the cheek!

”Oh!”, Vera let out, blushing, especially as Lilly gently held Vera’s hand, the couple heading inside of the restaurant, Vera’s smile getting wider and warmer as the blonde leaned on her:

”I haven’t…tried to focus on local cuisine for the most part, and I can cook most of the dishes myself… but when on a date? It feels better to eat someone else’s food…”

At the entrance, a server asked for a reservation: ”Good day, for Ms. Vera Okulova and Lilly Becker, please.”.

"A woman who can cook... now that is charming in of itself," teased Lilly Becker as the host gathered menus and began taking them to their table. Holding onto Vera, she walked with her, glancing around at more of the decor inside the restaurant. It had a very distinct style that she appreciated, smiling as she looked around.

The Doctor would then peel herself away from Vera as she moved to sit down at the table, smiling warmly at her date as she glanced down at the menu. "Okulova, hm?" remarked Becker, giving a sly look to Vera. "I'm very disappointed that your last name isn't really Sapphire..." said Lilly, turning the pages of the menu before speaking up again. "Although I imagine you were rather bummed out that my last name wasn't Fabulous, so I guess we're even."

Setting down her menu, Lilly would then offer another charming look to her date and said, "Do you like wine, Vera? If so, what wine would you like tonight? Because I would love to share a bottle of wine with you while I pick your brain for all of the fascinating things about you." She then waited with a simple smile on her face for Vera's reply, eager to carry on their date.

"With Russian and Japanese papparazzi on my tail, it was impossible to get by without cooking myself...", Vera giggled, remembering her time at school as a child of 2 big celebrities in her home country... as well as a quite unique idol on the scene in Japan.

As Vera was briefly lost in her thought, she realized they had passed the stand with the menus... though Lilly was a quick thinker, taking the two menus for themselves. Vera blushed, as she realized that this was it. She was on a date with a cute as heck, smart and powerful (as their match indicated) woman. Feeling warm and fuzzy, Vera simply enjoted the moment as the two were seated at their table, smiling all the while...

"That would've been "Fabulous" indeed, wouldn't it, huhu...", Vera would say, peeking into the menu to start with: "But in the end, we need to appear the best versions of ourselves when it comes to wrestling. That's why we dress in beautiful outfits... and have stage names.", Vera would mention, still smiling,

"Hmmmm...oh, what the hell! This is our night, and we will enjoy it to the fullest! Which one would you like?", Vera would reply to Lilly's question about wine.

Lilly let out a soft giggle as she waggled her eyebrows briefly before setting her menu down to prop her elbows on the table, and her chin in her hands. Her quite gorgeous date's enthusiasm amused her greatly. "I agree. I like reds. And I'm a real sucker for Pinot Noir," said Becker, smirking as she rolled her eyes up. "But I'm open to other options, if you'd like."

After waiting a beat, the Doctor would speak back up, canting her head slightly as she watched Vera, a pleasant smile on her face. "I knew your real last name. Obviously, I did quite a bit of research on you," said Lilly, removing one hand to gesture it. "Of course, just for our match. ...And maybe more for our date, because I'm a girl that just likes to be prepared. I don't like surprises." She wrinkled her nose, giving a brief shake of her head in jest, although there was certainly truth in that.

"And there is quite a bit of information out there on you. Some of it meaningful, after I sifted through obvious rags. But I guess the most important question I have is... When are you going to sing for me? Because from what I've heard, you have quite a singing voice," complimented Lilly. She kept the floor open in a casual and fun way still, allowing the floor for Vera to speak freely. That was how Becker operated--just let those across from her speak their minds. Despite how it often seemed like Lilly liked to talk, she liked to listen that much more.

"Pinot is fine", Vera smiled warmly, as she made a mental note to order that from the waiter once they arrived, while in the mean time, Vera and Lilly continued their conversation.

"Aw...", Vera pouted as Fabulous told her about her research. While the information disadvantage was bad enough (Vera's entire childhood history and Japanese interviews were up on the web for all to see), it was the latter part that disappointed her: "I understand... but some things should be surprises I feel like...", she would say, winking at the blonde, right as she mentioned her singing.

Taking Vera slightly by surprise, the blunette blushed: "I'm...a bit out of practice on the singing front... I will probably sound so terrible compared to my idol days..."

Lilly Becker watched Vera with a comforting smile on her face as she spoke. Her eyes watched Vera's own, taking note of her blush--instantly shifting her from a moment of joking and confidence to being a little shy. A strong girl like her, now blushing at the mere mention of her singing. The Good Doctor took note of that as she rested her elbows on the table and then propped her chin on them. "I'm sure you sound much better than I ever have. I'm Fabulous at a lot of things, but carrying a tune is not one of them," joked Lilly gently.

Speaking in a calm tone, she would then continue. "Did you like it? Being an idol? I imagine it was a lot of stress." She narrowed her gaze a bit, flashing more of her teeth in a smile. "I have a feeling you did a tremendous job of it though. You're very talented," concluded Dr. Becker, making sure to prop up Vera with plenty of compliments to bolster her comfort and confidence discussing it.

After her idol career finished off, Vera barely kept up with the idol scene... or even singing. She hasn't even been to a karaoke ever since she started wrestling, trying to fully focus on her new career. So when Lilly mentioned her previous life, it actually took the blunette aback, making her blush. She knew Lilly liked to analyze her from their match, so from the reaction on Vera's face and her words, the Good Doctor would likely deduce the reason quickly enough...

Lilly did take her mind off the situation, by mentioning that she herself wasn't much of a singer: "Uhuhu...I am sure you are just selling yourself short.", the blunette smiled at her date.

"Oh, absolutely. Obviously I would've never been the most famous woman in Japan, but I did...and got, the absolute best of the opportunity. But in Japanese showbiz, your shelf life is finite, even more so than in the west...I got out right when I would've really cooled off, and I feel better off for it...", Vera would say, reminicing about her early days in Japan.
