A Maiden's Maiden Match: Zhu Chao-Xing (D) vs Alice Evans

Chao-Xing usually made use of artful and discplined punches and kicks, but this type of match called for something different. Not only was this about knocking the woman out while outside of the platform, she needed to end her will and ability to keep fighting even if she came to from a knock down. A good way to do that was using dirty damaging tactics, like simply throttle her opponent while she had plenty of energy at the start of the match.

Chao-Xing was well aware that Alice was trying to do something, while she remained on top, strangling her, but she wasn't too concerned, even if it got her free, the damage being done but deliberately crushing her windpipe would more likely than not leave the Crimson Lotus with the upperhand. To ensure that, she only squeeze her foe's throat even harder, while driving her knee's into her sides while she straddled her.

Alice's whole body arched upwards in a unison effort as the representative of this match was about to placate her throat with his weight on his thumb. That was the moment she had been waiting for!

Alice had played Russian roulette, holding back the urge to scratch her enemy's skin while her fingers did a herculean job of slowing down the work of her opponent's thumb. She waited for the precise moment to do this, gathering every drop of energy necessary to make this leap despite the position her opponent took to stifle it. The force would be enough to separate the hips of the crimson lotus from the waist of the miss for an instant - a moment that would be crucial for one of the Englishwoman's legs to flex upwards with a little of the remaining energy - plus her body's desperation to defend itself and connect her knee with Chao-Xing's coccyx to take away hers desire to keep pressing her neck and getting her off herself back too.

Chao-Xing had enough of choking Alice, thinfs had resched the point that she was getting less out of it then she was taking from all off her struggling. So soon after the British woman kneed her backside, the crimson Lotus would let go.

The macau woman wpuld quickly attempt to get to her feet and away from her foe, hoping that she'd be able to counter any attempt by her opponent to keep her grip on her. As lonf as she didn't, there would be no parting blow and Alice would be allowed to get back to her feet without resistance.

With that precise counterattack, Alice not only managed to dislodge the Lotus woman from her, but she also learned a lesson to herself.

The miss rolled backwards as a way of protecting herself and elongating the distance between her and the macau woman before standing on one knee plus her arms upright for a defensive position. She had that reflex to cough loudly, though not wanting to give her opponent the pleasure of seeing her affected, so she caught herself not to do it so much even if she has a quest to recover all the oxygen she lost, with a dry throat, apart from being shaken by the very fast roll over with which Chao-Xing had dominated her on the floor. But the secretary was not attacked again with another blow as the Crimson Lotus also took her distance from the Englishwoman as a precaution. Wryly. Although this does not exclude that Alice was the one who got the most important revelation when she had the smile and the sadistic pleasure of the macau woman around her neck.

It took several seconds for it to sink in that Chao-Xing was not going to get close and that, if she is going to treat this other woman competitively, perhaps it is she herself who misunderstood what she was meant to imply that first macau blow. So she coughed roughly with in the process of standing on her two feet, rubbing her neck at all times to soothe the pain as she went through the motions, looking with her brown eyes, redder than before, at the other woman and about to closing the distance between them with her footwork to give this oriental fighter something more entertaining than unnecessary sporting innocence! Because Alice was ready to return some of the pain she generate her throat. Hunching over and contracting both arms so as not to be so predictable, Alice would fire the first straight punch to the sternum looking for a restart of the exchange of blows.

"Still having trouble breathing, Alice? Good."Chao-Xing said as the british woman slowly got back to her feet. A less disciplined fighter would be tempted to lunge at her still grounded foe, but the veteran fighter knew better than that. To charge from this distance would mean a telegraphed attack, which was very dangerous, she'd eadily be able to grab at her legs, for one.

So she let her opppnent get up. Not only that, she let her close the distance between the two of them as well, below even kicking range. Alice wanted another punching match and the crimson lotus was happy to oblige. Perhaps it would have been better to keep distance with kicks, but Chao-Xing was eager to meet the challenge of an exchange of punches. There was a thrill to a bare knuckle brawl that she couldn't avoid.

So the first blow landed in the macao woman's sternum, which was enough to send her a couple steps backward, but not prevent her from responding with her own right handed punch to her foe's sternum. As the punch flew in the air, Chao-xing already determined that, give the chance, she'd follow up with a left handed shovel punch to Alice's torso, then attempt a right hook targeted at her oppponent's head. Chao-Xing had no intention of yhrowing anything put punches until Alice did. If the brit wanted a fist fight, she'd give her one.

When the counterattack of this arena's representative connected in the centre of Alice's chest, some of hers air escaped in a puff. The secretary had planned to add up the steps that Crimson Lotus retreated in order not to lose the melee distance; but the truth is that this macao fist delayed her, and before she could lunge or advance one more step towards Chao-Xing, Alice had to temper her right side and lower her arm to cushion the shovel punch that the macao woman threw at her.

And this time, the brunette was well enough on her feet not to be pushed side by the Chinese force, and her eyes were open enough to see the other punch flying at her face, again. Thus, with an outward twist of her left arm she was able to deflect that blow to the outer side, feeling the other's arm rubbing and warming her own from the friction. It almost seemed cartoonish and intense, plus, blocking two blows from Chao-Xing was invigorating, besides opened the window for Alice to take a step forward and have her nose-to-nose. If she was lucky, Alice could make her recoil from the impression as she herself settled her arm to throw a left-handed straight punch to the cheekbone.

Chao-Xing gained some satisfaction from punching some air. out of Alice with her first counter-punch. The blow had the added beneffit of stopping her foe's advancement in her track. The Macao woman didn't dwell on it, however, before attempting to follow up with a shovel punch to the british woman's torso.

This punch was not quite as successful as the first. The Evans woman managed to partially block the blow with one of her arms. Still, Undeterred, Chao-xing had gone up high next time, targeting her opponent's face.

This punch woukd be entire deflected by Alice Evans, their forearms rubbing against eachother's as they were. Unlike the previous block, this one put the Mancanese woman off balance enough. The punch that'd follow it was not her own, but Alice's.

The british woman's fist slamned hard into her cheek, knocking saliva out of her mouth and sending her staggering a couple steps backward and perilously clis the edge of the platform they fought on.

Just before the punch had landed, the Crimson Lotus had began pulling up her arms to guard her face, that would be completed soon after her stumble backward. Rather than immediately strike back, Chao-Xing took the risk of waiting for her foe to approach she so she counterattack, as a chance for a particularly cruel move apporached.

Alice wasn't paying attention to anything but Chao-Xing's body - connecting a good punch to this mountain and pushing it back to very close to the edge of the platform hastened Alice's plans, who had even overlooked how close they were to such a moment.

And if the Briton was going to have opportunities, she had to take them in full or the Crimson Lotus would end up making her their plaything. So, as if a drum was being beaten in her chest, Alice didn't think for even 10 seconds what might happen, she simply reacted without knowing what her opponent might be preparing for her with this high defence, directly the secretary ducked with her shoulder forward and propelled herself in a leap to plunge her shoulder into the only place that seemed to be unprotected: Zhu Chao-Xing's stomach. She would not know how hard the Macau woman's abs could really be; but if the spear was effective, Alice would go with Zhu Chao-Xing into the void, falling the four feet deep outside the platform, together, but with the British woman on top of the representative of this combat model - may even have the opportunity to mock her for this point if it turned out this well as expected. Although if it failed, she was not prepared to counterattack.

One possible interpretation of the two woman's fust fight was that Alice came out the victor. After all it was Chao-Xing, not her, that had been forced to the edge of the Lei tai stage. After all, had this been a traditional Lei tai match, all alice would have had to do to win, was knock her off.


But if you asked the Macau woman, the only reason she was this close to the edge of the platform was because those were not the stipulations of this match. The loser had to be too hurt and/or tired to get back on to the platform for a full 10 count and if Alice punched or kicked her off right now she'd be more than capable of getting back on.

In fact, she was counting on her british foe closing the distance on her for a punch, as she'd use the opportuniry to do something that did havr a considerable probability of leading to a 10 count, or at least get her a lot of the way there.

Unfortunately for the crimson lotus, Alice would close the distance, but in the way she'd hope, aiming for a spear to her midsection. The Macanese women did not have time to commit to moving out of the way or counterung the move, so she simply tightened her abs and braced for impact.

If Alice was looking to knock the wind out of her with the tackle, she'd be sorely disappointed. However that was a small victory for the woman in red, as though, as no amount if preparing for impact from wear sge currently stood could protect her from falling off the stage.

"Gahhh!" She shouted as the spear lifted her off her feet and over the edge. She'd land lower back first on the thinly padded pallets, before her head snapped back hard against the surface outside the platform dazing the woman.

Alice didn't know if she had made it or not. She knew when she got up on her hands and knees and had Zhu Chao-Xing underneath her, apparently stunned - they had both fallen off the platform!

The secretary had achieved the first milestone in this match and a feeling of pleasure rippled through her chest for it - knocking down the crimson lotus felt so right. Although a hidden judge, perhaps it was the presenter, started the count to 10 through the loudspeakers, a direct call to return to the platform or lose, but the British woman was in no hurry to return immediately and leave Chao-Xing alone here - she was quite comfortable on top of the other woman.

Alice smiled and spat some saliva to the side, mitigating the stinging in her neck, which was no longer as intense now that she had this milestone scored in her favour.

"I don't see you smiling so much anymore..." the count was going for 4, but Alice just sat on the other woman's abdomen as the rest shouted at her to come back. "And just so we're clear: you came out first." And she fired a punch to her face to wake her up.

If that intention was fulfilled, Alice would only stand up haughtily and jump onto the platform in one leap to wait for Zhu Chao-Xing's return, as she doesn't think this is over just like that.
