With her surrender signalling the match’s end, Kyo swiftly released Alice from the hold, the Brit laying down on the mat, taking deep breaths after being in the hold for a while. Her face wore a disappointed expression on it. She still couldn’t pull off a big win at a big show… still couldn’t pick up a win, even with cheating.

Kyo was a good sport about it, even extending his hand to help Alice up… but, still frustrated, Alice lightly pushed it away, as she pushed herself back up to her feet:

”I’m fine…” the Brit would say in an annoyed, tired tone, pausing as she tried to find the words to say something to her rival:

”You…you got lucky!” she would say…before blushing. That was an embarrassing phrase, laced with salt. Kyo simply won the match. That was it. She wasn’t so bad a loser to believe her own words:

”S-sorry about trying to hit you with a kendo stick earlier…” Alice tried to apologize…

The audience was bursting into cheers at the finale to such a hard fought match. Although it was plain that a lot of the audience had been cheering for Alice, it nonetheless seemed that the crowd was happy with the match all the same, and doubly seemed to approve of Kyo's display of sportsmanship.

To Kyo's surprise, however, Alice angrily pushed his hand away. He frowned at this, not hiding his irritation at Alice's poor sportswomanship. Even so, he held his tongue as Alice pulled herself up, denouncing angrily that he had gotten lucky...before, finally, seeming to calm down a bit, and apologizing to him for having attacked him with a kendo stick earlier. Truth to be told, Kyo had been the most angry about that part of their match, so to hear Alice genuinely apologize for it caught him a little by surprise.

"No harm done," he breathed back. Literally, of course, Alice had failed to land a blow with the bokken. "I was just surprised you decided to make use of it: you really gave me a hard match, and didn't need a weapon to win." He allowed himself a smile. "If you're going to insist on using it, then...I might know a few techniques for it that I could share with you."

And with that, Kyo would give Alice a friendly pat on the shoulder, before turning to make his way out of the ring. Around him, the audience cheered what had been a very exciting bout between two of LAW's newer members, both of whom now showed lots of promise for the future...

Though she was rough about the loss, Alice’s apology was thankfully accepted. There was a word of truth from Kyo, that she didn’t really need to cheat to win… however, when the going got tough, she knew that this sort of thing helped. And with Kyo’s help, it could maybe help her in the long run… but:

”Hmmm… I might take you up on this… but only after I beat you.”, Alice would say, as she herself made her way out of the ring, to disappear into the backstage area…

Winner by submission: Kyo Akamatsu
