Arcane Storm: Alizeh vs Shimmerlace

The two-fisted swing kept swinging, and Shimmerlace found herself stumbling over her own feet. She would have kept going if Alizeh’s grip hadn't cinched her at the waist.

Welp—

There's a first time for everything, and this was Shimmer’s debut suplex. It hurt more on the way up than you'd think. There's a whole lot of body that doesn't want to get moving, and when Alizeh’s hips thrusts against yours and your ribs sag against the impromptu harness, liftoff stings.

Then it's the usual tumble—lights arc, world starts a spin cycle. Up and down become confusing concepts for the barest of seconds while your brain tries to catch up with just how you got here from the grounded half-second past. But you're going fast, rocketing, zooming along on a comet trail whose speed only accelerates—

”GRK–”

And then you land, crumpled soda can agains the mat, whole world flashing gray and foggy arcs while your feet are two black hills on the edge of your vision.

“ONE!”

Shimmer had gone limp following the impact. Her bare legs craned this way and that, but Alizeh kept the Feychild’s core stable and flat,

“TWO!”

A line of drool slid down the corner of Shimmer’s vision while her eyes flit behind drooped eyelids, darting around whatever half-misty dream.

Ducking under the spinning fists of her opponent Alizeh would use the momentum of Shimmer's own move to pivot behind the girl, locking her arms around her waist before pulling back, taking Shimmer off her feet and through the air to slam her down into the mat with a german suplex! Bridging her back Alizeh would set Shimmer's shoulders firmly on the mat, attempting to pin her! As the ref began to count however Alizeh felt something wrong. Not with anything Shimmer was doing, but with herself. The damage Shimmer had done earlier with her figure four was showing its head and for a moment her knees buckled, compromising her balance and bridge for just a moment as the ref brought their hand down to potentially make the last count of the match!

The fog in Shimmer’s vision had begun to condense, forming the shape of spotlights, ropes, mat and audience. She could hear, muted behind a bell-like tone, the growing excitement of their little crowd of onlookers just before the last coung. And she could feel the shift in her opponent’s balance.

”THR—”

All it took was a roll to one side, continuing into the direction Alizeh’s buckle had pushed them already, and—a groan from the stands. A smattering of applause. In spite of the needle pinpricks in her legs and the hot iron pain point glowing just under her skull, Shimmerlace cracked the barest of grins. She was none too quick to rouse herself from the heap into which she’d fallen, however, as her head settled from its spin.

”S-snnng…” She got halfway through the word, then lost it. She smacked her lips, swallowed, eyes half-lidded, and tried again. ”Sssssolid. Solid hit there.” That iron burn was growing inside her skull, increasing in intensity while shooting branches into other parts of her skull. She winced, then let her eyes slither in Alizeh’s direction. Stretched the grin. ”...Betcha can’t top it though.”

Dodging under and countering Shimmer's move with a fully effective german suplex and bridging her spine up looking to end the bout between her and the young lioness with a solid bridging pin attempt.

One that in all honesty would have likely been the definitive end, had it not been for Alizeh's leg twitching at the last moment, making her pin weak for just a moment, just long enough for Shimmer to roll to the side and break the pin!

'Damn.' Alizeh thought to herself as she rolled along with the momentum onto her knees, getting up to meet eyes with Shimmer as the girl spoke. "Heh.. I guess we'll see about that." Alizeh said with a small grin, scooting a bit further on her knees towards Shimmer, pulling her arm back and swinging it forward for a forearm smash into the woman's chest!

She’d survived—but only just. If someone had taken an axe to the back of her head, she imagined the sensation wouldn't be too different. Meanwhile that figure four had left her legs with a permanent ache. And Alizeh was…more or less unscathed. And coming at her fast with a superstar’s arsenal. What exactly was Shimmer’s theory of victory here?

She didn’t have long to contemplate, as the Emerald Storm leveled a strike at her chest! It was a whirligig moment, rolling shoulder over shoulder to get out of the way while her breath caught in her throat.

Come on now—up you go! She rolled up to the ropes and grabbed the bottom cable. It was a long, hard heave to get to her feet, and Alizeh seemed intent on giving her little time to get there. But the theory of victory, she'd known, was the same as it had ever been: a beautiful pair of violet eyes somewhere out in the stands, and the same fantasy that puts wings on a fairy. Her breath came out on a hiss as she struggled to get back to her full height.

Surprisingly Shimmer had put up a good fight so far. Especially with that figure four hold, even if the hold seemed to do as much damage to her as it had to Alizeh. Still that being said Alizeh was the one with the edge, both physically and in experience... and more importantly in this match. Especially after delivering that chop across Shimmer's chest that sent the lioness retreating backwards into the ropes.

Getting up fully herself Alizeh would approach the trapped lioness with measured steps meant to be easy on her slightly shaking legs. A consequence of the damage she herself had taken from the figure four hold from Shimmer. "Alright.. It's been fun but it's time to end this." Alizeh said as she got near, throwing her leg up to kick Shimmer in the gut!

Should it connect and fold Shimmer in half than Alizeh look to push the woman's head between her thighs before walking backwards towards the center of the ring where her grip would shift to Shimmer's hips.. and if uninterrupted she would pull up, trying to lift Shimmer's body up and over so that the girl's legs were over her shoulders, set up for what Alizeh hoped to be a match ending powerbomb!

Shimmerlace watched Alizeh coming. Objectively, the approach took a matter of seconds, but the Feychild crammed a lot of thought into that space. Should she dive between the ropes? Duck and charge? Attempt some kind of block?

She didn’t choose quickly enough, and the answer became eat a kick to the gut, which doubled her over. Once between Alizeh’s legs, she could do little but wobble. The pressure of her dominant opponent’s thighs, sticky and hot and full of Alizeh's smell, pressed blood into her face, and her mind swam.

It sucked. And she knew violet-eyes would see it suck, which made it burn enough for her to growl.

But she wouldn't be thus for long. When Shimmerlace was raised again to the tippy top air of the ring, eight feet or more over the mat, all that collected-up blood rushed down her neck like whirlpool. She went pale. Her vision telescoped and squirmy visual snow sputtered into view like grains on an old television.

”fuck FUCK fuuuuuuck…!”

And down she crashed, head to mat, and flopped like a doll in a mess of her own tangled hair while Alizeh loomed on top of her.

Despite wobbly legs Alizeh had the strength and stamina for at least one more big move. A major difference between herself and Shimmer, who seemed to be sputtering just to react which is why Alizeh's kick managed to connect so easily.

Watching as the woman bent over Alizeh would grab the woman and force her head between her legs before taking a few steps backwards to the center of the ring..

Prompting her to haul the lioness up into the air before taking her down to the mat with a massive powerbomb that reverberated throughout the ring with a massive impact!

Curling her legs over Shimmer's chest and sitting her weight forward to fold the girl further in half Alizeh would transition the aftermath of the hold into a pinfall attempt!

"ONE!"

"TWO!!"

”THREE!”

”Bleh…”

If rolly-poley eyes were any sign, as they carved little circles in the ceiling, the Feychild would have been good for a six or seven count. If she was released, she’d slump on the mat. From her interior perspective, the world was white—blindingly so and full of pinprick pain, like the sun in her eyes, that slowly grew in volume and intensity, like water flooding through holes in a canvas. She became aware of her head, then her toes, and then second by second the realization of her position flooded in and she sighed, heaving as she rolled over, except the sigh caught in the spittle collected in her mouth and became a gurgle.

”...Fuck”

…Tylenol was definitely on the menu tonight. A double helping. She pressed her fingers to her eyes, which helped but not much with the headache, and let the tingly burn in her gut settle, newly and unpleasantly intense here at the head of a growing string of losses increasingly dark before an audience of lapsing attention.

With that it was over. The powerbomb was a oldie but goodie that did quite a bit of damage that doubled for being extremely effective as a pinfall as well. Effective enough that it finally put the lioness down and secured victory for Alizeh. Letting out a puff of air Alizeh would drop the legs of her opponents and roll backwards onto her knees and sitting up, panting softly before smiling and getting back up to her feet.

Having her hand lifted up by the ref as she did so Alizeh would take a moment to bask in the victory, the cheers of the crowd and her own music playing over the speakers as she looked out before turning and focusing on her downed opponent. Gently taking her hand back from the ref Alizeh would approach a downed Shimmer and poke the girl on the shoulder to get her attention before offering an outstretched hand towards her. "Hey that was a great match." Alizeh said warmly, waiting to see if Shimmer would accept her gloved hand.
