Meiyun Lai vs. Nico Cardona

Nico had wrapped her legs around Meiyun's waist, tightening down a firm pressure. Her sides bent inward, and as her diaphragm contracted, she could feel the air being forced up from her lungs. Her body twisted and turned, her back pressing up against Nico's chest as the two of them wormed in closer and closer to one another. And if that wasn't bad enough, Nico added to the pressure even more as she brought her arm around Meiyun's throat, holding off her airways!

Now Meiyun's groans grew even more hoarse and hushed as she struggled to move in enough air to sustain her. Her writhes and twists grew faster and more frantic, and the hands that had been attacking Nico's legs now reached up to grab at the arm encircling her throat as she tried to push it off. Her legs kicked at the air with her growing desperation, putting her whole body into a struggle to break free. But nothing was working. Nico had her held down tight, and the longer this went on, the more she could feel the fatigue set into her body. Her motions slowed, and her limbs grew heavier. If Meiyun couldn't find a way out of this, it wouldn't be long before she passed out!

But the whole while, she could hear Nico's voice, whispering in her ear. And her words stirred something deep within Meiyun. They gave her hope! If Nico could push herself to her limits, going even further than anyone could have expected from her, then so could Meiyun! If she was giving up now, if she was going to let Nico win, if she was going to refuse to meet her challenge on the same level...then what good was she? No, every time Meiyun Lai got in the ring, it was to prove she was the strongest wrestler of all! She couldn't falter now! If Nico was doing her best, she needed to match her pound for pound - or she'd let down everyone, herself included!

Meiyun turned her head to the sky, her brows narrowed and her teeth clenched as she balled her fists tight. She shot the best look of defiance she could manage under the circumstances up at the ceiling, wanting to show the world she wouldn't take this lying down! Then, fighting against the fatigue that was quickly settling into her body, Meiyun tried to lift her arms up just a little higher, pointing her elbows back toward her opponent's ribs. At the same time, she tried to raise her hips, as much as she could against the pressure bearing down around her sides. If Meiyun could gather the force she needed, she would throw both her hips and her elbows backward to strike at Nico in her ribs and waist, with as much power as she could bear!

Meiyun and Teuila had became fast friends of Nico as all three women shared the passion for the sport, limitless energy and the desire to make their mark at LAW! So when Nico fought one of them it did'nt feel like a battle she had to win at all costs, but rather as a challenge for her and her friends to test each other out.

When training in the park with their three new mentors, Nico had challenged Meiyun to an official match and now as it finally took place it was just too good to be true, who cared that the arena was only halfful, who cared that people used their match as bathroom break? For her it was the biggest match in LAW History and she was convinced that they would surprise not just each other but everyone present at the arena and on tv with their skills.

The Blonde had wrapped her arms and legs around her friend like a Boa Constrictor and squeezed down hard, not sparing Mei anything as her muscles bulged in her arms and legs. Nico meant business and she knew that Meiyun needed this kind of motivation to get the best out of her but it seemed that the Hakka was'nt able to escape the strong submission of Nico. She felt Meiyuns movements growing weaker and the Blonde asked herself if she went too far? Still she did'nt soften the grip, she knew that Mei would not have forgiven her if she would help her in any way and so she held on.

And finally her fellow student sprang back to life again, lifting her arm and sendinf hard spikes right into her side while every stab with her elbow was accompanied by a raise of her hips, further weakening Nicos position. And finally after being at the disadvantage for so long, Meiyun got free as the Blonde rolled to her side, clutching her ribs in pain.
Was this the time for Meiyuns comeback in the match?

Meiyun hadn't quite blossomed into her full potential in LAW. She still had a lot to learn, and it was no secret that she wasn't quite accustomed to even some of the more commonly employed tactics in the wrestling ring. Now, Nico's arm was locked firmly around her throat, when she was already crushing the girl's sides with a bodyscissor! Though both holds could end a match, to many wrestlers - especially in the early stages of a bout - each was merely a tactic to wear down at an opponent's stamina, leaving them vulnerable for something harder-hitting later on. Yet, for a Young Lioness like Meiyun, the true challenge would come with being able to withstand them. And together, they would be all but unstoppable.

Meiyun could feel the edges of her vision growing dark as she wavered in and out on the shores of consciousness. Aganst Nico's weight, she bowed lower against the mat, panting and groaning as she sank into the canvas. But if there was one thing she knew, it was that to give in now - to accept defeat, to let herself pass out - would be simply unthinkable! Nico had challenged her to keep fighting. She knew Mei had it in her, and she was encouraging her to pull through, no matter the odds. And when Meiyun knew that her opponent believed in her, she was all the more determined to prove her suspicions true - not only for the crowd watching; she needed to show her friend her confidence wasn't misplaced!

She lay into Nico with everything she had at her disposal, swinging at her with elbows at the same time she bucked her back up and down in an effort to shake her off. Her pants grew louder and more ragged the more of her stamina she funneled into her escape, but she knew she couldn't stop now. She had to show the world she wouldn't go down easily! She began to feel the pressure ease, and that made her grin wider, knowing that her efforts were paying off. She just had to carry through on them! The more the burden lifted, the more vigorous her motions grew. And, at last, with one more buck, Meiyun finally sent Nico rolling off of her!

The brunette rolled over to her back, panting for air. She propped herself up on her palms, bracing herself on the mat to keep herself from slumping over from fatigue alone. Her body glistened with sweat as her chest rose and fell with each gasp she took in. But when she looked at the fallen Nico before her, Meiyun flashed a grin. She had gone it. She'd lived up to the challenge, she had escaped the hold - and she was hearing the cheers of everyone in the arena now, celebrating her efforts!

"Nico!! Didja see that!? I did it!!" That success was all Meiyun needed to push herself through to a second wind! Even if her muscles were aching and trembling, she nevertheless pushed herself up off the mat, finding the strength in her to rise to her feet! She looked down at Nico with a wide smile across her face - and then, as she belted out a battle cry, she threw herself straight down onto her foe, her arm raised to deliver an elbow drop!

Nico knew that there was so much more in her friend then just being a mediocre member of the Young Lioness programm. With the right training and proper guidance she knew that her asian friend could become a staple of the industry. She just needed to focus. Not that Nicos thoughts were always on the topic. More often then not her mind drifted into some series, a movie, a video game, the next Barca match.

But when she needed to, then Nico was focused beyond limits, entirely captured in a match like she was now! Meiyun deserved Nico at her fullest and the Blonde would not dissapoint her friend if she could help it. She wrapped her arms and legs around her body, almost managing to choke out the Hakka here and there. But with some peptalk and the threat of losing so early on in a match that both had promised to each other would be legendary, Meiyun managed to get herself together and throw some elbows into Nicos sides until the Blonde let go and held her aching side.

"Ouch...oh, si, cool Meiyun! Uwaaah!",she said as she raised a thumb only for her friend to up the stakes by crashing down into her unprotected stomach with a big elbow.
"Guuuuuugh!"
Nicos eyes went wide and her limbs were thrown into the air only for her to remain on the canvas, clutching her hurting midsection!

Meiyun had definitely ended up in a dangerous predicament - Nico's legs had all but entangled her body, keeping her tied up and preventing her from making an easy escape. And the pressure was quickly catching up to her, with Nico bearing down as much force as she could muster on Meiyun's sides, threatening to choke the life out of her! Her face was going red, and her breaths quickened into more labored heaves that caused her ribs to lurch inward and outward. But there was one thing Meiyun knew. She couldn't let this stop her - not when she was destined for greatness! She had to fight back, and she had to prove she was made of tougher stuff than to let herself be taken out this easily. The challenge would only embolden her to fight on harder than ever. And at last, as she threw a few well-placed elbows into Nico's sides, she was able to knock her off of her!

She needed a moment to catch her breath, but when her veins were surging with adrenaline, it didn't take long before Meiyun pushed herself back up, flashing an eager grin. She had pulled herself free - and that meant she had proof she had what it took to power through any challenge in the pursuit of victory! She just had to ride that through to the finish, and it fueled her even more as she took off across the mat, gathering enough momentum to throw herself back down into Nico with an elbow drop!

Meiyun grinned even wider as she felt the Catalan girl's stomach flatten against her blow - not just from knowing her own success, but also from the praise Nico showed her! She had always dreamed of being the sort of athlete who could wow anyone who looked on at her with her incredible moves, and if Nico was any indication, she didn't disappoint. She looked down at Nico, nodding her head to her. But she knew, too, that she couldn't be done here. Meiyun had seized the advantage - and as long as Nico stayed down, she was going to hold onto that and not let go! She had to follow up!

"And there's more where that came from!!" Cheering, Meiyun kipped up to her feet without a second thought, propelled by the thrill of dominating the action. Now, she would go to even greater lengths to maintain the dominant position she enjoyed. She bent at the knees to duck down and loop her arms under Nico's own, attempting to haul her to her feet. And if that worked, she would clasp her arms into a tight embrace around her midsection, before throwing herself back to perform a German suplex!

Nico and Meiyun shared no grudge against each other, it seemed to be physically impossible to hate someone. The little Sunshine called Cardona was just too cheery and in love with the world then to harbour any resentments. And even if she made exceptions, she took the teachings of her religion to heart. Love all people like yourself and just be a good person.

Nico loved everyone around her and trusted them, maybe a little too much, but she even got the heelish Cyber Widow to have a heart and become friends with the blonde girl. Nicos energy was contagious and she managed to brighten the mood wherevwe she appeared. Be it with obscure pop culture quotes or her iberian energy, she just was nice to have around.

She knew that Meiyun had suffered quite a bit in the clutches of one Rose Gold and she felt bad for her friend. She also knew that this experience really hurt her pride and selfesteem and so Nico would give her the match of a lifetime, no cheating, no cheap shots, so that her friend would smile again, even if she lost.

But now Nico was on the receiving end as Meiyun managed to break out of her sleeperhold and getting to fight back. Nico was still clutching her hurting midsection as she was dragged up by a feiry Hakka who wrapped her arms around her midsection.

"Wha-ah! Mei! Wait, let us talk!",she shouted more in an entertaining way as Meiyun slammed Nico backwards into the canvas with a big german suplex!

Just like that, Meiyun threw her weight over in an arc, swinging Nico overhead - and slamming her head and shoulders straight down into the canvas like the blow of a hammer, landing a picture-perfect German suplex! The fans let out a cheer at the Young Lioness's moves, and when she heard the adoration she was getting from the crowd, a grin flashed across her face. She might have been part of the opening act, but that didn't matter to Mei - she was out to make a splash, no matter what lengths she had to go to achieve success. And when she heard everyone calling out to her and cheering for her, that told her she was doing somethng right!

Her body stiffening, she pushed up from the mat with the soles of her feet, raising her hips higher into the air and pushing Nico further down into the canvas. From such a position, Meiyun could easily bridge her back into a pin, and the referee moved closer in case a count would be needed. But that wasn't what Meiyun had in mind. Just then, she released Nico, lifting herself up straight and facing the stands with a grin on her face. The cheers of the fans had only emboldened her - she was sure a pin here wouldn't be a good enough finish. Now, it felt as though everyone was watching her, and waiting to see what she was going to do next. They needed to see her do things right!

"Oh, no..." She shook her head to Nico's cries. "I'm not done yet!!" Letting out a battle cry, and joined by the encouraging cheers of the fans, Meiyun ran straight toward the ropes. This time, she would jump up to the bottom rope, and again she would throw herself back through the air toward her foe - this time, gathering even more momentum and altitude as she went to drive her hip down against Nico with a senton!

Nico knew that Meiyun had it in her and as far as she saw it, the Young Lioness program was here to support young women who had talent and all of its students were supposed to help each other. Nico a longtime sportsfan knew the value of a good team with good friends in it. When every little part of the machine worked, then it would be invincible.

And Meiyun was'nt just a teammate, she was Nicos friend, a close friend and the Catalonian would love nothing more to see her smile. And she knew that for Meiyun everything was about to prove herself and so Nico gave her, her A Game, no tricks , not holding back.

Now her friend had finally managed to turn things around, pummle Nico around and send her back into the mats. The Blonde got up and shook her head, looking around for her smaller friend, already seeing her in motion. "Uwah!",she screamed as she saw Meiyun rebound the ropes, using the lighter weight of her body to try and send a senton into Nico but the Blonde would not take it lying down as she rolled out of the way, letting Meiyun sailing down into the mat and if everything worked out, Nico would jump forward and wrap her arm around Meiyun in a technical headlock on the mats!
"Gotcha, Dio!",she grinned as a little quip to their first challenge.

At last forcing her way free of Nico's hold, Meiyun panted for breath, trying to shake the cobwebs out of her head and drawing enough air back into her lungs to propel herself forward. Her chest lurched, and her brow dripped with sweat. But what was important was that she had escaped, and her eyes narrowed in determination! Now that she was in the clear, she would fight her hardest to stay there, and to keep hold of the momentum. She wasn't going to let Nico have a moment to collect herself - as soon as she could stand straight, she quickly circled behind the blonde, grabbing her around the waist, and throwing her back in an arc to nail her head clean into the mat!

Meiyun heard the cheers of the fans and the rumble of the canvas under her feet as Nico made her landing, but she wasn't done yet. Now that Nico was down, Meiyun had the chance to keep on the pressure! Even if her legs were still a little shaky, and her breaths still came in hard, Mei knew she held the advantage, and that fact alone was enough to give her the strength she needed to rebound. Looking to amp up the energy of the match, she took off running for the ropes, letting out a battle cry as she hurled herself back in her classmate's direction!

But while Meiyun was hoping she could win by pushing her momentum further and further with each passing moment, Nico had other ideas. That momentum could just as easily be thrown off if Mei could be interrupted - and sure enough, Nico rolled to the side just in time to get out of the way! Meiyun didn't realize what had hit her until she came down with a thump against the mat, the impact sending a rumble through her body. She winced, feeling the pain in her tailbone from the rough landing; she bent inward with a pained hiss as she shuddered against the sensation running through her spine. But more importantly, this meant that Meiyun had slowed down - and Nico was soon to see her chance to strike!

The Catalan girl quickly grabbed Meiyun by the throat, dragging her down into a headlock! Gasping and groaning, Meiyun struggled back and forth, her hips bucking and her legs kicking in the air as she desperately tried to resist. She was putting more energy into flailing around than an experienced wrestler would know to do, but at this point, all Mei could think about was escaping! If she couldn't gather enough momentum behind her, her next move would be to try and throw a fist behind her, hoping it could land on Nico's face or chest, though she was aiming blindly!

Nico and Meiyun did'nt go easy at each other. Both were young, aspiring wrestlers at the biggest league in the world and they were both determined to make it to the top!

And from here they started, Nico, as an avid sportsfan, knew all too well that this first matches, seemingly unimportant, where indeed, very important. They would be measured by how they did here, when they grew older, people would speak of their early matches and analyze them. No, this here was important and Nico would go all in.

She had wrapped her arm around Meiyuns neck and squeezed down hard, intending to putting her to sleep her and now. Nico felt the struggle but managed to outbalance it. When the punches and slaps came, she could'nt but every desperate hit that Meiyun successfully finished, just made the european more determined! She wrapped her arm stronger around Meiyun each time she got slapped and did not let go.

The referee went down on her knees, seeing if Meiyun could go on or if her body would slowly give out. It was a battle of wills by now and the cheery Blondes red head was framed by an expression of pain and determination while spittle fell through Nicos clenched teeth!
