Kate was backing up, from the assault Drake was subjecting her to. Here her boxing experience went on a show, weaving between punches, only minimal moves to catch strikes, and building distance to avoid kicks. Her footwork especially paid off, it seemed to keep a sort of rhythm that just after enough time for her opponent to figure out the pattern, broke and changed, making her be where she was least expected. It was only then that she fired her own strikes, admittedly, just a few. At this speed, she knew she would find her back against the cage in no time. Not wanting to let her repositioning be only a predictable skip to the side, she spun, extending her arm, hoping to clock her opponent with a back fist to the jaw as she changed angles to get more space to work with.

Drake would find Kate was skilled enough to keep moving and out of the way of the hits that he was sending out towards her soon having her back touching the cage wall for a second but she would soon move to the side before sending a spin hit out that connected causing a slight stagger but he would try to get right back on the offensive as he would move in with his guard up waiting for the right time to attack but before he could do this the bell would ring calling for the round to be over and for both fighters to return to there respective side of the cage.

The bell rang and Kate walked to her side. Sitting on a stool and getting some water from the ring staff. Huan wasn't here this time to work as her corner woman, from what she said it was about teaching Kate how to think on the spot, analyze the situation and come up with strategies of her own. it had some sense for sure. For one, Kate was an unknown, nobody really had time to figure out her strategy and so far, every time they were close, she managed to pull another trick out of her hat to mix it up. And in wrestling, she would have no team in her corner and no breaks, which was something to manage as well.

Having composed herself, she would stand up and get ready before the bell struck. Then she would approach, as usual, hands up, in a modified boxing stance Huan helped her to develop. Then, just when she got in range she would roll forward, leg extended to hopefully hit Drake to the top of his head with a rolling thunder kick. The thought being that this was so far different from what she has shown before that it would catch him off guard.

As Drake would move in he would aim to keep his guard up as he was not sure what to expect though his gut feeling had been on the money the problem was that he was not fast enough to block the incoming kick that would connect perfectly with a hard impact dropping him to a knee as he would try to shake his head as the kick has rocked him as he had a hard moment trying to regain his balance and footing, before trying to launch a counter attack aiming to hit with a hard force impact to her side followed by another to her gut in hopes to force her back.

Kate's initial hailmarry seemed to have bore some fruit but she was not able to capitalize as, as soon as she got up, Drake was already on her. The first strike even though she seemed to have blocked it, still racked her body, making her stumble to the side. Seeing that her opponent was still gunning for her, however, she would not try to stop. Using the momentum she already had to move sideways and pivot at the last moment, letting Drake's strike pass her completely as he moved passed her. Hopefully, she would be fast enough to then throw a push kick to his back and force him against the cage.

Drake would continue trying to exchange blows with Kata but soon found himself taking more hits then he could pump out before he would hit the cage wall as he would try to turn around to place a guard up from the continued assault of the kicks and punches that Kata was dealing out towards him, he would place his arms up trying to guard from the hits towards his head as he would try throw kicks out to push her backwards so he could get away from the cage wall.

Kate's assoult was bearing fruit and she was gaining ground but Drake was not content just letting her take the lead, soon planting a big kick to her core, sending her stumbling back and letting him retreat from the cage. Though the strike was powerfull and in truth, Kate's first instinct was to puke from the force impacting her stomach, she would not let the advantage slip away again as she pushed through the pain. She would dash forward but instead of going for her opponent, she was going for the cage wall, hoping to surprise him with yet another unexpected manoeuvre as she would jump at the cage wall, push off from it and attempt to nail a showtime kick straight to his face!

Dark has somehow pushed Kate back as they both would go with brutal attacks on each other doing damage on both sides but he would soon get up and off the wall though the recovery would be short lived as Kate would come out of none were with the show time kick that caught him off guard causing him to stumble and trip on to his back on the cage floor, his head was spinning a bit and he would try put a guard in place knowing she would take full advantage of him going prone because that honestly what he would do.

Kate saw Drake fall and it was like a shark smelling the blood on the water. She would dart forward and get on top of him, her thighs squeezing hard on his body to both secure herself in place and rob him of breath. Then she would grab one of his hands and pull it across his throat to break his guard while the other hand would start raining down strikes. She knew if she could keep the pressure for just a bit longer, she would get a chance to finish it right there!

Drake was now feeling impact after impact and knew he was in danger as Kate had broken the guard, it was now getting hard for him to think as he would try act his guard back into place but this was now turning into a race of time before she would land the right hit or he would block the hits, a few more hits would land before he realized he should try something else and with out warning would go to grab her his and roll them both over to gain the advantage where he would try rain hits down, he was not as fast as kate but he would put a lot power behind them, though he would have to get lucky to have this work out for him.
