Finlay's side was hurting like hell from Nela's kick to his side making him wince sharply even as he moved and counter attacked against Nela, at least managing to slam Nela hard onto the mat with a massive suplex. "Hagh..." He gasped out sharply as he sat back up and held his side before turning over to Nela and reaching to grab her leg once more before standing back up to his feet and walking backwards to drag her away from the ropes. If successful he would try and grab her other leg as well before moving to roll Nela over onto her stomach before stepping back, trying to lock Nela in a boston crab!

Nela was in a daze, one moment she was laying flat on the mat, then pull, flip and the pain spreading through her back and hips jolting her back to reality. She screamed and slammed her fists against the mat, her brain finding it hard to recall the counter she knew through the agony of the hold that was rapidly draining what strength she had left. Finally fighting through the haze, she would grab her opponent's ankles and pull though her arms did not have quite the strength from the start of the match and if that attempt didn't work, there would be little more she could do.

Finlay's attempt to lock Nela in a boston crab had proved successful as he pulled back on the move,putting as much strain on her spine as possible which seemed to break his debuting opponent from her pain induced stupor, prompting her to lash about and try to stop his hold in anyway possible. Even reaching out for his ankles to knock him off balance! "Ngh... I don't think so!" Finlay yelled as he lifted a leg up and suddenly dropped his knee on the back of Nela's neck pulling her legs back as far as possible as he transitioned into a liontamer submission, trying to end the match here!

Nela's attempt backfired in a spectacular way, not only has not achieved her goal but leading to a transition into an even more painful variation. At this point, all the endurance she had was spent and as much as she wanted to fight through it, she just couldn't. trying and failing to conceal her pain, she would start to tap, signalling a submission.

Finlay nearly lost his footing form Nela's grabbing of his ankles but he held firm. Considering her weakness seemed tied to her damage threshold he knew it was only a matter of time now that he had such a painful hold locked in with the liontamer. Sure enough not long after securing the doubled up hold did he hear the familiar and all too welcome sign of his opponent tapping out. Releasing her legs and falling onto his but Finlay would pant softly as he held his back with a slight wince before standing up and having his arm raised up, standing victoriously over Nela in LAW's first intergender event! Looking down at his fallen opponent however Finlay would offer his hand to her. "That was a good match. Better than I thought. You just need to learn to take a hit." He said in a attempt at a joking tone towards her.

Nela rolled to her back and breathed heavily after being released. It wasn't exactly what she wanted out of her debut but it could have gone worse, way worse given how the final stretch looked like. when she opened her eyes, she saw Finlay offer her a hand to help her up and throw a comment which made her pout though she would still accept the help. "Now you are a comedian, huh? Just you wait for the rematch!" She said in that sort of grumpy tone that made it clear she actually meant nothing by it

Helping Nela up to her feet it was clear there were no hard feelings but the two, but instead a mutual desire for one thing. "I'll look forward to it." He said, already accepting the idea of a rematch between them, and sounding quite excited for it no less before dropping her hand and turning to bask in the moment a bit more, the victory feeling especially sweet tonight given everything going into it.
