The training of the blonde missile, whipping Daniel into shape (a thread for ihateocrecolors)

Daniel and Linus were both in the gym, with Linus being on the bench lifting weights, Daniel was...twiddling his thumbs thinking of something to do, Linus ended up going to the gym a lot more frequently than him, and he was still thinking about wrestling around a bunch of people, he was obviously going though some kind of stage freight in his head

”Hey Danny, didn’t you say you WANTED to go to the gym, why ask to come to the gym with me if you aren’t gonna do anything but sit on your ass?”

Daniel let out a small “eep!”

”s-Sorry, I’m just, still thinking about joining into a big wrestling company like this”

”stage freight?”

Linus cut Daniel off with an assumption, he knew his brother rather well, Daniel sighed reluctantly

”something like that”

Linus smirked as he thought up an idea

”you know what we can do, I can end up finding someone and we can have you have a match of some kind with him, and I can record it!”


Daniel raised an eyebrow

”and you’re sure that will work...?

”it’s worth a shot!”

Linus said as he immediately started looking around the gym for people to have Daniel wrestle against

Linus spotted Aiden and you could practically see the light bulb above his head

”Daniel~ I think I found your training partner~”

Linus said, pushing his twin brother towards Aiden

”w-wait what? I-I need to mentally prepare for talking to people, I-I’m not as social as you are”

”you’ll be fine! Just say hi, and I’ll do the rest”

Linus said being wrote stopping his twin brother next to where Aiden was lifting weights

”Hello there~ my twin brother here”

Linus gestured towards Daniel, with Daniel giving a shy wave

”h-hi”

”was wondering if you would be interested in a bit of a spar, so what do you say? Wanna help train a rookie?”

Linus asked with a shit eating grin, Daniel was nervous out of his mind, he wasn’t very social,”I’m probably gonna say something dumb that’ll make him wanna break my nose”, Daniel thought to himself, he was hoping that it wouldn’t happen, but he was so nervous he was afraid it would

Daniel would smile and shake Aiden’s hand as well, clearly still being a bit nervous, Linus would reassure him

”would you mind going easy on Daniel? He’s kinda shy when it comes to new people, and I was hoping we could help him get over his stage fright with a spar, I’m also gonna record it, if that’s alright with you? I won’t post it anywhere, I’m just record it on my phone so Daniel can get over his fear”

Linus explained, in truth if it was funny he would probably post it to YouTube or something

”umm...thank you for sparring with me, I’m sorry if we caught you in the middle something yourself though”

Daniel said with a soft smile, he saw Aiden had sat down and thought that he was about to start doing a bit of weight lifting or something, so he thought he had to apologize for being rude and stopping him before he started

”oh no no no, you aren’t testing your mettle against US, you’re testing your mettle against him”

Linus jokingly corrected Aiden with a bit of a chuckle, pointing to his twin brother, Daniel would take a couple of deep breaths and look up at Aiden, giving a somewhat shy smile as Linus looked for a ring of some kind, before getting an idea

”maybe I can go back to my room and get a padded mat? Have it be a mat wrestling match or something, that work?”

Linus asked with a cheeky smile, thinking to himself “well if there isn’t a ring, then this’ll work... right?”

"alright then boys, so submission match, first to tap loses, and I'll go get my mat"

Linus would run off and get his wrestling mat from his room, leaving Daniel with Aiden

"...so umm, how long have you been wrestling for?"

Daniel would ask with a soft smile, trying to make a bit of friendly conversation with Aiden

”I’m uh, decently new to proper wrestling really, I trained in kickboxing for a time, but wrestling isn’t really something I’m familiar with”

Daniel said with a chuckle, he was aware of the general outline of a wrestling match but had never been a part of one in an official capacity, so this was going to be his first “official” match, if you could call it that, it was more of a sparring match if anything, but he was still excited to have someone willing to spar with him at all

"oh umm...sure, I wouldn't mind that, although I think I have everything about the basics at least, but I wouldn't mind you helping me out"

Daniel said with a soft smile, sitting next to Aiden, feeling a bit more comfortable now that they were back at his place instead of at the gym

"so you're new to college wrestling? Because my brother used to do it a good amount, maybe he can give you a few pointers"

Daniel said with a soft chuckle

Daniel looked somewhat surprised, thinking that Aiden would have been a wrestling fanatic considering his experience in fighting that he saw from his beating on the punching bag

"so you got into this... recently?"

Daniel asked as his brother returned, laying the mat on the ground and looking at the two boys

"happy to see you two are getting along, the last thing I want is for someone to want to bust my dear little brother open"

Daniel's eyes would widen as he never even though of that possiblity, he never thought of how dangerous wrestling would be for him

"relax, I'm messing with you, this is just a friendly training session, first one to pin the other down wins, both of you need to remain on the mat and first one to get a three count wins"

Linus would then whisper to Aiden mischievously

"try to go easy on him"

Linus said with a chuckle as Daniel got onto the mat, as his twin brother gave him a hug to calm him down before their match started

Daniel would get ready as his brother made a ringing noise with his mouth to imitate a bell

"ding ding!"

Daniel would immediately charge at his opponent, aiming to tackle down his legs in order to pin him down, if successful then he would immediately try to get in some kind of a lock, something to weaken his legs maybe, like a figure four or a sharp shooter...but he wasn't exactly sure how to make his opponent vulnerable enough to initiate it. Maybe an arm bar...maybe it would be good to weaken his opponent's arms so that he couldn't hit him to hard, he should think about that after Aiden was on his back though
