A meteoric impact- Comet and Athena!

*Snarling at the inescapable position he had unknowingly blundered into, Comet balled his fists to try and mitigate the agony rippling up his lower extremities!* "Nngrrrrhhh!" *Gnashing his teeth while trying to formulate a viable plan, The Azure Asteroid leaned towards the suspended ropes, recognizing them as his only Hail Mary out of this undesirable spot.* "J...judging by your grip, it seems like you don't want to let me go~" *His slightly haughty demeanor in the face of hardship was one of his brighter qualities, but nevertheless he needed to focus on his current strife.*

*At an embarrassingly slow pace, Comet was finally within arms distance of his desired destination. With a single, swift motion he lunged towards the cherry red vine, latching his arms around it as if it were a rope being tossed towards him as he flailed inside of a raging maelstrom of misery!* "R..rope break!" *He proclaimed, trying to cease the ever encroaching pain she was administering across his legs!*

Athena scoffed as she heard Gryff's words. "Well, that much is obvious, isn't it?" She would keep him trapped in the Boston crab, bending his body even as he tried to crawl towards the ropes, seemingly going for a rope break. Eventually, he managed to get himself a rope break, and Athena let go of him, stepping away from him to give him some space.

"Come, boy. Don't leave me waiting." Athena told him as she stood not too far from him, crossing her arms as she waited for him to get up. All the while, she had an amused smile on her face.

*Continuing to struggle within Athena's unwavering grasp, Comet finally snagged himself a sliver of relief as his palm clutched the bottom rope, signaling for a desperately needed break from the torture.* "Aaahh...damn~" *He lamented, trying to concoct a viable means of staying competitive in this increasingly one-sided bout as his foe strode towards the opposite end of the arena. He took advantage of the ample breathing room she provided him with, positioning himself against the pillar as he silently contemplated on what to do next.*

"Alright, I think I'm ready to go!" *He roared in an ecstatic tone, having completely shaken off the prior clash just moments ago and seemingly having gained some valuable insight in the process. Deciding that the most prudent course of action would be to gallop towards her, he appeared as though he was about to rattle off yet another strike, but instead lunged forward, clamping down onto her shoulders before trying to roll backwards and launch her behind him for a monkey flip!*

Athena watched as Gryff was preparing his attack. When she saw him charging towards her, Athena would prepare herself, looking to meet him head on. But as he got closer, Gryff suddenly grabbed her by her shoulders before he brought his feet to her body. Athena tried to react, but she wasn't quick enough as the young man fell backwards before launching her over into the air with a monkey flip!

"AAHHHH!!!"

Athena cried out as she was taken off her feet, flipping over the air before hitting the mat with her back. She grunted as she hit the mat. A bit rattled, Athena would then roll herself over to her side, trying to regain her clarity. The monkey flip had left her momentarily disoriented, which left her unable to defend herself from whatever Gryff might do next.

*Hearing the audible* "WHACK!" *That confirmed the success of his move, Comet subsequently kipped himself up before glancing over his shoulder for good measure while he remained frozen in disbelief for a brief moment.* "A..alright, keep it moving Comet!" *He reminded himself that this scuffle was far from over, proceeding to scale the turnbuckles before reaching the summit and taking a deep breath, realizing that once he left the safety of the perch there was no going back.*

"Bombs away!" *After calculating the inherent risks that his next move presented, he suddenly launched himself backwards as his body cut through the skies like a whetted blade while curving himself vertically to try and connect with his spontaneous moonsault, eager to capitalize on this fleeting moment of opportunity while he still could!*

Athena was laid out on the mat after being flipped over by the monkey flip earlier. And it seemed that Gryff was using this opportunity to execute an aerial maneuver on her, and Athena would try to muster her strength to do something about this, or else she might end up taking the whole weight of the young man onto her.

So, as Gryff took flight into the air, flipping to execute a moonsault, Athena would then bring her knees up, looking to have Gryff land onto them. She would still take damage, but the landing would hurt the young man more.

*As his toned figure cut through the skies, Comet's mind was swirling with the seemingly limitless possibilities at his disposal once he made landfall- Perhaps he could go for an easy pin to throw Athena off, or potentially latch onto her for an impromptu submission hold. All of these grandiose ideas, however, would be dashed as he felt an extremely unpleasant sensation across the breadth of his midsection!* "GGGGAACCKK!" *He coughed before bouncing off of Athena's shins, stumbling around before falling against his backside.*

"Aaahh...should have...guessed that would happen..." *Despite his unfavorable situation, Comet still maintained his cheery disposition, refusing to believe that one misstep would lead to his ruination. However, he wouldn't be returning to his feet for quite some time, currently clutching his stomach to try and assuage the anguish welling up inside!*

Athena still could feel the impact even though she managed to get Gryff land on her knees. "Well, you could've seen that one coming miles away, you know?" Athena pointed out as she would sit up. At first, she thought about going for a pinfall, but this wasn't an official match, so she got to show more here. So, she would push herself up, getting back to her feet before she approached the downed Gryff.

"Get up now, kiddo. We're not done having fun yet." Athena said, smiling as she would heave Gryff's body up before slamming him down onto the mat with a body slam. A simple move, yet devastating if made correctly. She was looking to chip away at his stamina so that she could defeat him all easier.

*While the unexpected landing seemed painful, Comet was much more durable than he was letting on- The anguish was temporary, and before Athena could recognize, he was already over the experience and looking forward to their next miniature clash. She decided to take the initiative this time around, looking to reintroduce him to the ground with yet another ground shattering move. This, however, would not come to pass as the masked meteorite put into motion quite the unorthodox countermove!*

"Ggrrhh...I..c..couldn't agree more!" *Swinging himself around as if he were weightless, Comet planted his hand against the arena beneath him, vertically upright yet upside down he latched his legs across Athena's throat in a suspended chokehold stance, trying to drain her of any and all expendable energy in this contest of longevity!*

Athena was about to slam Gryff down with a body slam, only for Gryff to suddenly get his legs around her neck. Losing her momentum, Athena got herself trapped in the headscissor where Gryff was hanging upside down, his legs wrapped around her neck. "HRKHH!!!" Athena planted her feet as she tried to reorient herself. Her mouth was open wide as she struggled to breathe. For the time being, it seemed that Gryff had the opportunity to continue with his offense, and Athena would not be able to do even a thing about it.
