Finlay Zeffer vs Nela Ribeiro

Managing to get to the ropes quite quickly Finlay would give a soft huff as he got back to his feet. Any serious damage to his leg was avoided with how quickly he got the break, but in all honesty what Finlay was more upset about was the fact that Nela had gotten the upper hand in that exchange.

A fact she was all too quick to make known. "I'll admit, you can at least back some of what you say up." He offered, which didn't sound like much, but if nothing else, he was definitely starting to take her more seriously as he circled her, fists raised before moving in, as if going for a collar elbow tie up, only to duck low and go behind her, attempting to grab Nela in a rear waist lock.

Nela smirked at the response she got, it might not have been much but it was something. As he went to lock up with her, she narrowed her eyes, she knew he had to be planning something but completely misjudged what it was, soon finding herself in a waist lock.

She knew it was a perfect setup for a suplex and to avoid that she would try to work her legs between his and get her center mass lower to avoid that while. At the same time, she would try to unwrap his hands to get free.

Getting behind Nela and wrapping her waist in a waist lock Finlay at first went for a german suplex. However Nela to her credit was quick and immediately went to work her legs between his own to keep him from doing so before trying to pry his hands apart.

Thankfully though, Finlay was just as quick witted as Nela. Smirking softly he would undo the waist lock of his own accord before quickly flinging his arm up, aiming to instead wrap them around Nela's neck for a rear naked choke!

As he did so Finlay would let himself fall backwards while using the chance to pull his legs from her before wrapping his legs around her waist for body a body scissors as well, hoping to weaken the debuting girl, if not make her tap or nap right there!

As Finlay let go of her, Nela was confused for just a second before her instincts kicked in. Hundreds of hours of training made her recognise what was coming and he reacted accordingly. One of her hands went to grab his palm as he was wrapping around her neck, the other moving to the side to block the path for the other one that he would use to reinforce. then as he leaned back to take it to the floor she pulled her legs up high to her chest, making her body be too wide of a target to wrap around before using the momentum of their fall to roll back to land right behind her opponent's head.

When free she would throw a quick forearm strike to his head to slow him down before going from the crouch straight to jump to then hopefully land on top of his chest with a double stomp.

More and more Nela was proving to be a surprisingly difficult and tricky opponent to deal with as Finlay clashed against her. Wrapping his arms around her waist for a waist lock would fail, and instead he'd be forced to try and shift his focus into attempting to lock in a sleeper hold. Even this however was reacted too by Nela, causing Finlay's eyes to widen in surprise as she caught his hands and pulled her legs up, preventing him from locking in either of his submission attempts!

'Damn it!' Finlay thought to himself, landing on his back with no foe caught, worse yet she was standing right above him, where she would then leap up and drive her feet into his chest! "Gah!" He'd cry out in pain, some of the air being driven from his lungs as he immediately turned on his side, coughing aggressively from the impact.

So far, Nela managed to stay mostly in control of the situation, it was no easy task but she managed. She just had to hope now that she could keep it up before Finley wisened up to what she was good at.

With him laid out as he was, Nela would push him to force him onto his back before she would go to the ropes. There she would grab the top one, jumping up onto the middle one to lunch herself in the air in hopes of landing a summersault on him.

Finlay was left gasping, his body unable to do anything as Nela rolled him over onto his back, the double stomp she performed driving the wind from him as he hissed and tried to suck in breath. 'Not good.. she's fast, agile, adept thinker, and very good with technical skill, likely has experience before wrestling.' Finlay thought to himself, his body unable to put in work, but his mind was racing.

Luckily though he would receive some manner of break as he looked up and saw Nela grabbing the top ropes meaning one thing, and it wouldn't take much to save himself from it. "Hup!" Sucking in a deep breath Finlay would raise his legs up as Nela descended through the air, aiming to have her land square on his knees to counter her!

Nela was long committed to the move when she saw Finley bring his knees up, she winced, even before falling down on top of them. "Ghhhhra" She let out a cry of pain that turned into a gurgle halfway through, her entire body briefly turning into a c shape before coming violently back to normal and rebounding, making her fall off of him and roll before coming to rest laying face first on the mat.

She would try pushing up her muscles cooperating for a moment before seemingly realising what just happened and refusing to go any further, making her fall back down with a groan. For now, at least she was defenceless and hoping that Finley would still need to recover as well though she really knew better.

Left on the mat gasping while Nela tried to set up a bigger aerial move was a blessing in disguise. It allowed Finlay to rest and regain his breath while Nela took to the air, giving Finlay the chance to raise his knees up, causing the girl to land hard, smashing her own air out of herself before landing a bit away from him. Getting up slowly himself Finlay would turn towards Nela and smirk softly before darting forward, he was still hurt, but he could at least take advantage of her position to drop down while extending his legs to try and land a drop kick right into Nela's side!

Nela was still trying to muster the strength to move. It eluded her so far, focusing solely on that she missed the rapid steps of Finley approaching her and just as she pushed up once again, another burst of pain exploded in her side, sending her tumbling further, only stopping at the ropes. She groaned, reaching out to grab ropes and took a moment as her hand kept missing it, certainly, taking hits like that was not something she could afford, it never was. Still, while the ropes were helping her get up, she needed more time, time she knew she wouldn't be given so she would have to make it. Leaning on the ropes, she would squint, flash a shit-eating grin at her opponent and gesture for him to come at her, hoping it would be enough to bait him.
