Toshiko Ito vs. Vera Sapphire

Toshiko Ito's movements were crisp and quick. Funneling her anger into controlled rage, Ito hit that roundhouse kick, palm strike, then the knee into thrust kick, sending Vera Sapphire falling to the mat. Stomping her kicking foot down, the lean striker glared down at Vera, who looked stunned. She could tell Vera wasn't expecting that sort of aggressive response--and most would think Toshiko may have overreacted, but this was far more serious to Ito. Which was unfortunate for her opponent that she now had more fire under her tail.

"I am Toshiko Ito. You will speak my name with reverence," said the Twilight Edge, her voice biting with every word as she glared down at Sapphire. Stepping towards her opponent, she grabbed her arm and turned, rolling back towards Vera's feet. It would send Vera back into a sitting position, and Toshiko would release that arm, swiftly getting to her feet before leaping up and over Vera, aiming to come down onto her chest with the intent to drive her opponent back into the mat with an absolutely crushing double foot stomp. If successful, it would surely leave Vera struggling even more and hurt her chest even more.

Toshiko definitely saw Vera's "cute teasing", and responded to that with "insulted anger", as the Martial Artist sat the blunette up. Vera was completely dazed as she did so, to the point where she couldn't hear her rival's order. Only once Toshiko jumped at the Russian with her legs poised for her chest would Vera realize just how much trouble she was in!

"GUAAAAAAAGH!!!", Vera let out, air escaping from her lungs after the hard hit, leaving it difficult for her to breathe!

Toshiko leaped into the air and then came down hard with both feet onto Vera's chest, crushing her with a brutal foot stomp that kept her opponent gasping for air. Standing over top of Vera, feet planted to either side of Sapphire's head, she would then step forward and grab hold of Vera's head, slowly pulling her to her feet, fuming behind her mask still and not giving her foe much time to catch her breath. "You do not have the privilege to speak to me about my body, or talk about how cute I may be," said Toshiko sternly, as if to scold Vera for her earlier words.

And then Ito would go on the attack again. This time with rapidfire strikes being sent towards her opponent. The Twilight Edge began to fire forearms and elbow strikes towards the shoulder, neck, face, and chest, kicks towards the calf. All of it meant to pepper and swarm Vera Sapphire with stiff hits. She wanted to overwhelm her and keep her from focusing as she'd back her towards the ropes. Ultimately, the amount that hit didn't matter much to Toshiko--it was all to put Vera on an extra defensive and keep her guessing where the next strike would be. It was her Rush of Madness combination, and Toshiko was employing it against Vera to finish it off with her signature high kick towards the side of Vera's head, aiming to crack her in the skull with the blow. If successful, Ito knew she'd be one step closer to a total victory.

"Mmmgh...but...why...not? Why do I need a privilege to compliment you?", Vera complained, while Toshiko pulled the blunette back up to her feet...and would only get her reply in the form of a hard combination of strikes all across her body, arms, legs and head! Vera yelped and cried at each attack, trying to block, but only ending up guessing wrong each time! Finally, Toshiko would end the combo with one last hard kick to Vera's head, the leg practically cracking against Vera's skull, causing the blunette to fall on her side, completely dazed by the Marital Artist...

Strike after painful strike nailed Vera Sapphire as her body quaked and reacted to each blow, leaving Toshiko Ito to continue firing them until finally she knew Vera was ready for her high kick to the side of the head. The Twilight Edge simply stood over Vera, scowling behind her mask as she looked on to the crowd. She huffed loudly, grabbing hold of Vera's dazed body and dragged it roughly to the middle of the ring.

She then crouched down grabbing hold of Vera's head, forcing her to look up at her as her eyes narrowed, glaring at her stunned foe. She then spoke again with venom, her tone firm. "Because this is combat. Not a high school," stated Ito. She then leaned in closer and added, "And because you are weak." The disgust practically spouted out with the words before Toshiko would attempt to slam Vera's face off the mat, ready to prepare her to finish the match up.

Vera, in spite of being completely dazed by Toshiko's strikes and having her head slammed into the ground, could still here Toshiko's protests, and as a result...a fire lit up inside of her. "Combat, not a high school", as if she didn't already know that...but the "weak" part is what got to the blunette.

Slowly but surely, the picture in her mind became clearer as she made her way back up to her feet, Toshiko no doubt getting ready for one big final strike to finish the match...

Toshiko Ito was ready to pull Vera back up as she stood, ready to finish off her opponent for good. The Japanese striker had put her out enough, and it was time to place the period on the end of their match up. However, she noticed that Vera was starting to push up to her feet. Ito watched Sapphire for a few moments as she drug herself back up to her feet and let out a huff through her nose, looking unimpressed at Vera as she took a step back.

Then, the Twilight Edge would make her move, lightning fast. She allowed Vera a moment to appreciate that she could get back to her feet still before lashing out. She spun, sending a devastating Spinning Back Roundhouse Kick towards Vera Sapphire's skull. It was the Twilight Grasp, looking to knock out Sapphire entirely with the strike so she could get ready to finish this match up.

Vera stood, prepared for Toshiko’s next attack, as she moved forward, spun, and aimed her leg at Vera…

…with Vera ducking right under the skull shattering strike, slipping behind the Twilight Edge, as she wrapped her arms around her rival, trying to through her backwards and away from herself with a Release German Suplex!

Toshiko's boot twirled in the air with expert precision, aiming to take Vera Sapphire's head clean off with the Twilight Grasp. However, she felt nothing, Ito's eyes opening wide as she suddenly planted her foot to try to balance herself. But as she did so, her opponent was already heading right behind her. Vera had found a second wind, throwing her all into a move to stop the Japanese striker. Ito briefly tried to grab for the arms to break the grasp around her waist, but it was too late. She was airborne.

It was short though, because she hit the mat hard on her shoulders and head and her body rolled with the momentum until she was laying on her front, letting out a loud groan of pain. She grit her teeth behind her mask, shocked by the sudden retaliation from Vera, who seemed all but defeated by now. Toshiko's hands went to the back of her head as she laid on her front, trying to get her wits again before Sapphire could follow up.

Vera was properly fired up. She didn't feel the pain in her head or body, in spite of the strikes that Toshiko inflicted on her. She quickly rose to her feet, and let out a loud roar:

"GRAAAAAGH!!!"

The crowd cheered, while Vera turned her full attention to her rival.

"Am I weak now?! Huh?!"

Vera waited for Toshiko to lift herself, at least to her knees or a seat, before launching at the woman. She rushed straight at the downed Martial Artist, trying to ram her arm into her head with a low Lariat!
