Clash of the Idols: Nanami vs Sakura

Today was the big day. Nanami Kanno was about to make her debut as a wrestler. Elena and Juri had been training her in secret, quickly molding her into a competent fighter.

She had also been studying Sakura’s matches since day 1, so she knows what to expect. And she also learned a special trick from Rio.

And now, she was getting finished suiting up, putting on her new wrestling gear.

Alizeh took a deep breath backstage as she prepared for her next match. A match against a debuting opponent wrestling for the first time ever.. but they weren't new to Sakura. Quite the contrary, Sakura knew Nanami for years, she was like the sister she never had, probably the person she was closest too in sweet diva besides Elena. Though Sakura never thought that Nanami would want to step into the ring herself, but Sakura didn't mind one bit! If anything she was just flattered that she was the one the girl wanted to go up against first!

Taking a deep breath as she stood backstage Sakura would smile brightly as her entrance music started, prompting the former idol to come out, beaming with pride as she struck a pose and stood proudly before the fans who cheered and cat called her. Running down the ramp Sakura would high five the fans in the front row before leaping up onto the apron and then backflipping over the ropes with her Sakura Special, landing right into another pose that showed off her red ring gear!

Hopping lightly from foot to foot Sakura would look up at the entrance ramp with eyes full of excitement as she waited for her friend and fellow Sweet Diva to come down for the first time ever. Ready to face her in her first match.

A new theme played, one both Sakura and Nanami knew all too well. It was an instrumental version of a song Nanami herself wrote. She came out in her new attire and waved to the crowd before striking a pose. She then ran down the ramp, giving the audience high-fives as she did so, similar to Sakura. Once at the ring, she went up the steps and jumped over the ropes before waving and bowing to the audience.

Then, her eyes locked onto Sakura. "Ready to do this?"

Sakura smiled brightly upon hearing this particular song, immediate flashbacks hitting her from when Nanami first showed her the sheet music for it. Smiling a bit wider as Nanami entered the ring Sakura would nod to her friend as her smile took a more competitive edge. "Of course I am!" Sakura said excitedly as she entered a grappling stance in preparation, inviting Nanami to lock up with her the moment the bell rang.

Nanami grinned and got in the same position. "Let's see how well you handle ME. Especially since, unlike with Elena, I expect you to not hold back."

They waited for the bell

Sakura smirked a bit wider, liking the confidence she was hearing from Nanami and nodded. "Not a problem there." Sakura said with a nod before the bell sounded.

Ding ding

Immediately she would push forward, looking to lock up with Nanami in a collar and elbow tie up, only to pivot and attempt to get her friend in a side headlock!

Nanami wasn't fast enough to stop her from trapping her in the headlock, but she was able to shove Sakura away and went for a roundhouse kick.

[Bare]

Sakura smirked softly after catching Nanami in the sude headlock, but her eyes would soon widen as she was pushed forward suddenly! ‘Crap!’ sakura thought to herself as she turned and ducked down just in time to avoid a kick that nearly took her head off! ”Nice try!” Sakura said as she tried to ram herself into Nanami to push her back towards the corner!

Nanami grunted in frustration as she missed the kick. And then she saw Sakura charging at her, ramming her shoulder into her midsection with the intent of pushing her into a corner.

Nanami tried to stand her ground and planted her feet firmly into the mat.

Barely avoidjng the kick from her firned Sakura tried to brute force her way through. Knocking the woman back, but not far enough. ”Wha?” Sakura exclaimed in surprise, unable to push Nanmi back enough, and now stuck in a rather awkard position!
