Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
When asked about the Capoeira, Severin responded with a more relaxed chuckle and a shrug of his shoulders. With no smooth lines coming to mind, he defaulted to honesty.
"I'm not gonna lie: I'm making this up as I go."
He accepted the invitation that followed with no hesitation, but he made sure to keep his eyes peeled for any more surprises. But he still would be. Not because of anything sly on her end, but rather, the sheer brute strength that she put on display. His eyes fell to her fishnet-covered legs, and thinking quickly, he met a step forward with a kick aimed at the side of the calf before she could get her foot down.
If this went the way he wanted it to, he'd turn this around, literally, and push her back into a corner instead. During their moment of closeness, his eyes would then turn to her lips.
Those beautiful, perfect lips.
Oh, did he also miss the warmth of having a woman close. Having her right there, cuddling up, taking her in his arms -- or even better, having it done the other way around for once, and unfortunately, it was only once -- and planting a sweet-
Focus! Focus!
After shutting down the primitive part of his brain, at least for the time being, another idea came to him and he immediately acted upon it. Using the leverage offered by their tie-up, he jumped up, planted his feet on her lower abdomen, and fell back to give her a monkey flip of her own. Following this, he'd use his core strength to keep his position on his shoulders so he could view the distance that was created between the two as she flew. Once that was measured, he kipped back onto his feet, launched himself into a hand-assisted backflip to cover some of it and flew over the rest with a corkscrew splash that would prelude a pin.

Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
Serena chuckled at her rival's show on honesty. The man could have ellaborated a cooler lie that would make him better, but he just shrugged that off and went for the truth. "Well at least you are honest. And you went rough on me. Two things I like.", said Serena in a playful tone knowing that those words would fluster Severin. It wasn't a lie though: there was something to that man's simple approach and attitude that looked interesting for the blonde, but that would have to wait until they were done with the match.
For now Serena had to focus on the hold at hand and in pushing Severin to the corner of the ring. The man had other plans though, and this time it would be him the one making a surprise move. It would all start with a kick to the blonde's calf. It was a move only aimed to making the Siren flinch but it worked well. From there Severin reversed Serena's intentions by bringing her to the corner, and as if it was some sort of tease or ironic punishment the man went for the exact same move Serena executed some instants before: the monkey flip. This one wouldn't go as the previous one though, as Serena wasn't able to make an acrobatic recover and just toon the hit by impacting against the canvas with her back. That wouldn't be the end of it though as Severin was still willing to go all acrobatic and executed an agile transition into a corkscrew spash that left the crowd yelling in approval. Serena might have the people's support, but that man was impressing everyone with his display of agility and resourcefulness. A little dazed by the hit, the Siren noticed her rival hooking her leg and going for a pin. Maybe she had taken a serious hit but it was still too soon for her to be defeated, so the blonde waited for the two counf before jerking her whole body with all her strength just in time to get a shoulder up and break the pinning maneuver.

Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
Severin was certain that his support from the crowd was as good as dried up after Serena arrived on the scene, but there he was, still getting cheers. He hooked the leg he had in the half-Crab tight, and the ref hurried over to slap the mat.
"One! Two!"
He expected the kick out. Maybe those moves would've spelt the end of the fight for a regular Joe (or Plain Jane, rather), but this was a professional wrestler he was dealing with. And as such, he had already thought of one way to keep his offense going.
He was no submissions expert, and there was no doubt that it would show in his execution as he hooked the arm she raised to break the count under his, scooting into a seated position beside her in order to give himself proper leverage before gripping her wrist, applying torque, and wrenching her straightened arm up high, placing tremendous pressure on her shoulder and elbow.
Even if she gets out -- and he was sure she would -- her ability to power him around would be diminished. He would steel himself for the screaming that was sure to come by reminding himself that she'd told him directly that she liked rougher treatment.
That maybe he didn't have to worry too much about hurting her. Or that at least there wouldn't be any hard feelings if there was an accident.
But still...To quote the great George Clinton, "it didn't work, no."
He'd keep the hold locked in anyway, until she either worked her way to the ropes again, escaped, or by some miracle tapped out.

Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
Despite how skillfully crafted the pinning maneuver was, it was still too early in the match for any of the wrestlers to be tired enough not to be able to break a count. After the count of two Serena managed to get some of her strength applied in a sudden whipping of her upper bdy that got her shoulder free. After that Serena was looking for some room to breathe and rethink her strategy, bit Severin knew he was on the advantage for the moment and wasn't willing to give her the time nor the rest to make a change on the match.
As Serena's arm was lifted to break the pin Severin got a hold on it and the man transitioned withlut much grace but with effectiveness into an armbar submission. "Sh-shit!!", thought to herself the Siren, fully aware of the damage that hold could do. When her arm was wrenched in Severin's grasp the Siren's attempts to hide the damage that hold did were in vain. Her low-pitched voice echoed as she cried in pain. Against this move, the previous half-crab or the corkscrew and pin were just means of breaking the ice. Now Serena was feeling the first real threat that had chances of giving her a loss. She didn't have much time to think on her options as with each passing second her arm was throwing her cries of alert. She had to think of something fast. The blonde wasn't so confident in her ability to force an escape by strength alone, and the price to pay would be too big.
There was no other way: she had to force a rope break once again. While the armbar set powrrful jolts of pain through her arm that made her yell in pain, Serena would start whipping her lower body. It wasn't mindless thrashing though, because with each motion her legs were getting closer and closer to the ropes, but each inch felt of advance felt like a world of effort and pain. With this resolve the Siren kept going until she could feel how close she was, only one more step to get to the edge of the ring. "Come on... COME ON!!!" With a final thought of resolve the Siren managed to get one of her boots resting on the lower rope as cries of despair and pain came out of her. "Ref!! Ropes-aaaaagh!!!"

Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
The Siren's screams were hard to take, and it was plain on Severin's masked face. It was here that he really questioned, even more than he already had before, whether or not he was cut out for this.
This was going to be a long, long match. The first of many.
And that damned referee wasn't helping.
Severin had put even less effort into keeping her away from the ropes than he did when he had her by the leg. And when she finally got there...The man just stood there. And it's not like there was anything in the way. He was right there, with a perfect view of the proceedings.
He'd been a wrestling fan for years, so he was well aware that the referees in this business weren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed.
But this?
Severin released the hold, almost springing to his feet as he turned his attention to the Steve Mazzagatti wannabe that was calling this thing. He held his arms up at his sides, the gesture and his entirely displeased expression saying his next words before they even came out of his mouth.
"The fuck was that, man?"
He would point back to Serena as he continued the short tirade.
"You see her foot on that rope! You hear her screaming! That's when you get in there and do your job, man!"
This was the beginning of the end, and Severin knew it. The referee was going to do a fast count, call a submission that didn't happen, or decide that him lying on the mat with his eyes closed for just a few seconds constituted a knockout. He didn't care. He wasn't about to benefit from some shitty officiating like that himself. Not against anyone, least of all a woman.
Now that he's done what he's wanted to reach inside of his television screen and do several times throughout the years, his focus returned to his opponent.

Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
When Serena noticed the feeling of release in her strained arm as Severin broke the hold the blonde's body relaxed a little in relief. With great effort and a high price in terms of damage and pain the blonde had managed to toughen up and force a rope break on a pretty devastating submission hold that was a match ender.
From her position Serena rolled over to get some distance even if she didn't know where she was going, grabbing her own arm with a grimace of pain in her face. In any other circumstances she would have got up just after that but the damage she had taken in that match was pretty serious now and the blonde's reactions were beimg delayed by pain and exhaustion. Had Severin wanted to he could have got a new move going while Serena tried to recover but that didn't happen.
The Siren could hear something, like a conversation in the distance. For her it was as if the people talking were so far from each other but when she focused and started rising back on her feet she noticed Severin was arguing with the referee about some unknown matter. Serena deduced it should have something to be with her previous rope break, but having had a pretty decent teaser of the man's character it made no sense for him to be like that. After getting back on her feet and further peeking the blonde realized Severin was actually defending her from something that was seen as incompetence from the ref's part. Well, she had got some damage done and the referee took some time to force the break, but it came with the job.
At the moment Severin was done with the referee and turned his attention back to Serena the blonde had fully got back on her feet. She looked at him half puzzled half amused. "Hey, the knight in shining armor is kinda cute and even a little hot, but don't turn your back on your rival, man. If I had been one of those Big Bad heels I would have whooped your ass with no warning, you know?" After that she would nod at Severin searching for some readiness confirmation before resuming the match. The Siren was pretty hurt so she would have to resort for some simpler moves she could execute without fault in her condition. To prime him for that she needed some impact first, so Serena would rush at him without much more warning, her reactions slowed by her current state. From there she would go for a couple knife chops to overwhelm him so she could get an elbow on the stomach thay would make him bend and finally attempt a DDT from that position. It was a long bomb but if Serena managed to do that she would be able to come back a little.

Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
Severin nodded his understanding of the experienced blonde's warning, but he didn't feel as though he was in danger of something like that happening against her, especially with the mutual reset.
But "kinda cute"? "A little hot"?
Was she...?
Don't overthink it, Terrell.
"It just didn't feel right. But I'll keep that in mind, thank you."
Given the damage that had just been done to her arm, the best approach in Severin's mind was to keep up the grappling. Stress tie-ups and maneuvers that would test her upper body strength and take advantage of its diminished state. And as such, he adopted a wrestling stance. Squatted, hunched forward, with hands raised at the collar level. With eyes watchful of any sudden movements, he took a step forward. And then another. And then he sprang forward, looking for another collar-and-elbow tie-up just as the Siren made her move as well.
His inexperience would manifest in the form of costly overcommitment. He saw that first chop coming and ducked, but it would be done too late. Instead of his chest, her gloved palm clapped thunderously on his forehead. His having moved directly into the blow would increase its impact, sending him stumbling back in a daze, helpless against the blows that followed: Another heavy chop that stopped the breath in his chest and an elbow to the stomach that knocked enough wind out of him to render him unable to do anything but bend forward.
And the next thing he knew, he felt an arm tightening around his head, warm leather on the side of his face, and then he was in a short freefall that ended with a crash landing right on the temple.
It didn't knock him senseless, but it gave him a headache and made his body go on strike for the next few seconds, ignoring his command to rise up before she could do any more damage.

Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
"So polite..." Serena teased Severin about how polite the man had been for all the match, sometimes to his own harm. The Siren's first chop landed in a completely unexpected way as Severin ducked but he was caught walfway there in the middle of the forehead. That startled Serena a little but he looked fine so things were good. With that the combo continued with a second strike, both chops aimed at distracting Severin and making him lose his focus before the elbow attack primed him for a move. All went smoothly and Serena was capable of getting all the strikes done before going for a DDT that got both some damage done and had Severin reeling for some seconds.
For Serena those seconds of being dazed Severin had were enough to set something and capitalize. Her strategy had already taken form on her head: she would try and get him with damsging moves while exploiting that budding hesitance when in closer body to body contact she noticed on Severin earlier. For her nexr move, Serena would dash towards the ropes to gain some momentum, hoping that not feeling anything coming would make Severin grow some confidence and start standing up. The idea was to gain speed and come back at her rival.just when he was done getting back on his feet, welcoming him with a powerful running crossbody aimed to get the two on the mat with Serena's body mashing against Severin's.

Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
Come on! Work, legs!
They proved to be resistant during Severin's rise from the mat. They were surely getting him there, but they took their sweet time. Enough so for him to once again see the Siren's next move coming, but be unable to do anything to avoid it. Her powerful body slammed into his, taking him down as surely as him having run into a brick wall would have.
But it wouldn't be quite as unpleasant, what with having a brickhouse running into him instead. Black Severin could easily think of several, several worse places to be than on his back, under a lady who's stacked, pinned down with the help of that rack.
"One!Two!"
OW!
And there was that fast count.
Of all the times to do a fast count!
Asshole.
Seeing the ref's hand speeding down for the three finally got his legs in gear, allowing him to kick out just in the nick of time. The crowd would make its disapproval of the lack of professionalism that was on display known, mixed in with cheers at seeing that the match wouldn't be coming to a sudden lackluster end.

Re: A Dance With The Siren (Black Severin vs Siren Serena - Standard Match)
After crashing against Severin with her crossbody Serena ended on top of the man while he was down for the count! The blonde took that sweet time to get some body on body eliciting some excitement on her and surely on her rival, but in the end the blonde couldln't forget she was in the middle of a match. "Maybe later...", she thought to herself.
The next logical step to take was to get use of the current situation and attempt a pinning maneuver. The ref came down and started a count that was too quick and obvious to notice. Serena lessened her pressure on the pin because everyone had noticed the ref's mistake and she didn't want to look like one who would capitalize on a referee's incompetence to get wins, but Severin didn't need that as he forced a break in the pin in the last second.
After quickly getting on her feet Serena confronted the referee. "Why don't you just do your goddamn work?" The blonde just needed to save her reputation from getting damaged, the last thing she wanted was to be seen as a cheater. After the episode, the Siren noticed how Severin was still on the mat and decided to capitalize on that. Quickly breaking the distance, the Siren would force Severin into a sitting position just before sitting behind him. From there she would wrap her well toned legs around his abdomen so he couldn't move properly. Then, the Siren would get her arms around his neck to get a sleeper hold going adding it to the combo. The best part of this hold was how the blonde's body would be pressing against Severin's, surely making a very interesting effect on the man. Sereba decided to add some verbal teasing: "Body on body feels nice, doesn't it?", she said while writhing and squeezing him, her whole figure going against his.
