Fight Long overdue: Huan Lei Brightspring vs Zira Cabalero

Having Huan on top was never good news, back in her MMA days that was the point when commentators tended to proclaim the match over by the time it happened and they were rarely wrong. And this time it was a perfect opportunity for some payback.

Huan would first send a few strikes down to keep Zira occupied before she would enact her real plan. Sending a hammer fist to the side of her opponent's head she would reach her arm behind her neck and wrap it around, her other arm going over the shoulder and under the armpit. She would then lock her hands together to secure a mounted guillotine choke - a special treat of hers that she named "drowning" after moving to wrestling.

Zira was absolutely a brute, she wouldn't deny that at all, however she wasn't a fool, and for opponents that she knew to take seriously she always did her research. Huan was one such opponent. Someone she knew she couldn't take lightly no matter what. As such she knew that ending up beneath the woman was far from good news whatsoever and Huan was quick to prove it by sending a volley of punches at Zira followed by a hammer fist to the side of the head!

"Ngh!" Grunting in pain as this connected despite her blocking most of the attacks there wasn't much that Zira could do as Huan then reached down, locking her the guillotine choke! "Guh!" Gagging softly Zira would groan and clench a hand into a fist before swinging it around, trying to fight back even if it was just some punches to Huan's side!

Huan grunted as she felt punch after punch coming at her side and while it was inviting a bruise later, she kept her hold. "Damn, you are stubborn!" She commented as she scooted further up Zira's body to get a better angle, then twisted the grip and pulled it up to constrict further. "Should I have read you a bed time story?" She joked, trying to distract herself from the growing pain in her side and hoping she could hold on long enough for the other woman to pass out.

Caught in Huan's guillotine choke Zira would grunt and gag, the woman's weight making it difficult to outright power out, and her grip was too secure and high for her to finesse her way out. So she would have to fight her way out, throwing fists into Huan's side did seem to have an effect but enough. Worse yet her air supply was getting lower and lower so such big punches were gonna be a detriment, so she would go with something more low effort... but even more painful. Opening her hands and placing them on Huan's sides, Zira would then start to clench, digging her finger into Huan's sides, gripping them tighter and tighter for a brutal double iron claw on the woman's sides!

When Huan said that Zira was stubborn, she had no idea how right she was as the white haired woman was breaking some records in how long she was lasting in the choke. On top of that, she changed her tactics and the piercing pain that spread from Huan's sides was enough for her to involuntarily lose the hold as she let out a low growl.

Knowing that the hold would be lost in but a moment, she wanted to capitalize on her position while she still had some control. Letting go of Zira, She would grab the woman's face and shoved it down to slam the back of her head against the mat before standing up and further delivering a stomp to her head as well.

Zira was a stubborn god damn woman and when it came down to it she could fight rather brutally if she was desperate enough. Huan just had a taste of that desperation as Zira's hands clenched tight on the woman's sides, crushing her ribs with what strength she had left. Thankfully this forced Huan to release her grip... just as spots were starting to dance in Zira's vision as well, but unfortunately Huan was looking to pay Zira back by slamming her head into the mat before kicking her while she was down! "Gah!" Zira moaned out in pain, raising her arms up to try and guard against any other kicks that came from above while she tried to get her breath back.

Huan looked down at Zira, shaking her head slightly as she realised that the woman was still conscious, she knew she should have expected as much but still, it felt impressive to watch her take such a beating and keep on going. Still, the offence Huan got in was showing as her opponent lay there, trying to minimize the damage and no doubt, planning her comeback. Given that the obvious angle for Huan to go with was attacking the head, trying to knock the lights out of the white-haired woman, she decided not to pursue that avenue. Instead, to minimize the damage coming her way she would focus on Zira's legs as she would grab one of them, wrapping her own around it as she sat down and stuffed the limb under her armpit. Then she would rotate her upper body to the outside, her lower half making the opposite motion to lock in a heel hook. Submission could not win her this match but it could stack odds in her favour.

Zira would admit she was in quite the pinch right now. Huan had gotten the upper hand against with that guillotine and it took everything Zira had to escape with her consciousness in tact. This in turn meant that she was all but helpless to the kicks and stomps that came afterwards from the woman. 'Damn it!' Zira grunted in pain pain, trying to regulate her breathing whilst attempting to plan a way to get back into this bout.

Luckily, as her leg was grabbed, she may have just found her opening to do so. Feeling her leg grabbed and Huan's wrapping around it, it didn't take a genius to figure out a heel hook was coming next. 'I dont' fucking think so!' Zira thought to herself pushing herself up and turning to the side that Huan attempting to lay in, as she did so Zira would shoot her free leg out, trying to land a kick directly into Huan's knee. Zira's hope here was that the sudden spike of pain would be enough to distract Huan long enough for Zira to scoot back on her hands and pull her limb back to try and get out of immediate danger from Huan!

As Zira stated when grabbed, Huan could already tell something was about to go wrong. She carried on with her attempt anyway until seeing the other woman's leg pull back. 'Not worth it' She thought to herself and backed up, managing to make the hit to her knee less impactful.

With Zira now in a defensive position, Huan would not pursue. Instead, she'd wait for her to get up and make a move herself.

Grabbing Huan's leg and rolling in with her was enough on its own to set alarm bells off in the woman. Enough to abandon ship all together and backoff her attempt to submit her.

Naturally Zira would use the opportunity to get up to her feet and push her hair out of her eyes, flashing a smirk at Huan. "Heh.. Heel Hook. Vicious, though I would have been disappointed otherwise." Zira said as she began to circle Huan, eyeing her form carefully, looking for her opening before moving.
