Fight Long overdue: Huan Lei Brightspring vs Zira Cabalero

There wasn't all that much to be gained with a submission hold like this in the kind of match that it was except for weakening Zira though Huan did not count on it to be substantial given the other woman's overall toughness, the more impactful part was entertainment as the crowd was going wild both for the hold Zira had on Huan a moment ago and the one in progress now.

It wasn't exactly the easiest way to hold someone though and Huan felt her grip slipping shortly, knowing she couldn't hold on for much longer she let go of her opponent, letting her fall to the mat. Then she stepped back to wait for her to get up. "As much as I enjoy bending you into a pretzel, I think I better leave it for another occasion." She said with a wink.

Zira gritted her teeth and held her breath, not wanting to give Huan the satisfaction of hearing her moan out in pain from the hold. Shaking her head as the ref asked her if she wanted to submit she would instead grit her teeth and bear it until Huan just wasn't able to maintain it on her anymore.

Sure enough as she thought, within a few moments Zira found herself freed from the hold and dropped back to the mat gasping for a moment before pushing herself up. The hold had hurt, but Zira would be damned if she let it stop her.

Turning to face her opponent Zira would smirk softly despite the past situation. "Yeah well you're gonna regret it, cause it let me figure out exactly what hold I'll be putting you in." Zira shot right back to the woman with a smirk.

Huan chuckled slightly as she circled Zira. "Is that a threat or a promise?" she asked while cutting the distance and trying to land a low kick to the outside of the other woman's left leg. The aim for this was to more so than damage the leg, try to strike the peroneal nerve in that area which could make the leg numb and hopefully limit Zira's own ability to throw her powerful kicks at least for a bit.

Regardless of the success of that, she would then try to build the distance again with a steep to her opponent's abdomen, followed by switching her legs and sending a roundhouse to her side before stepping back. Then she would wait to see if her initial plan worked at all.

Zira smirked at Huan as she circled the other woman with her fists up. "Can't it be both?" She shot back with a grin towards Huan's teasing question before getting ready as she saw the woman coming in hot with leg raised for a kick to her leg. 'Oh I don't think so.' Zira thought to herself as she raised her own up, blocking the kick and wincing slightly, but at least reducing the damage.

Seeing Huan's leg then coming up though made Zira smirk at the possibility that now laid before her. Taking advantage of the outstretched leg that came her way as a result of the steep kick Zira would reach down, trying to catch the limb! If successful Zira flash a dangerous grin at her opponent before pulling the leg towards her while shifting back on her leg, raising her other limb up to deliver her signature roundhouse kick that she had used in mma days, and carried over as a signature here in wrestling that she affectionately dubbed Mirked out, hopefully right against the side of Huan's head!

Having her leg caught and pulled Huan stumbled, trying to regain balance to better react to whatever Zira had in store for her. Then she saw it, a lightning-fast kick aimed right at her head, there was no ducking under it in time, pulling up her hands to block would only end up in having them broken. 'fu..' The thought only half-formed in her mind by the time it connected and the world went dark. Huan's limp body scattered to the floor like a discarded toy.

Then a groan came, just as the referee was about to reach four. Huan's hand went up then to the side of her head, one more groan, heavier this time before she would push off the mat with the other hand "Heavy legs you got there, stilts..." Hian said rubbing her head as she slowly started to get up. Being knocked out was not entirely a new experience but it might as well have been, the last time she recalled must have been nearly twenty years back and even then It happened maybe once. "Gonna get even soon enough" She added, shaking her head to clear it.

Hearing the sweet and oh so satisfying sound of her leg impacting with the side of her opponent's head Zira would smirk watching as Huan stumbled back for a moment... All before collapsing on her back like a sack of potatoes. Smirking victoriously at this Zira would to the crowd and throw her arm, basking in the moment of what looked to be a KO and now the first, and possibly last count of the match began.

However Huan was impressive as always and as the ref reached three she began to groan and push a arm into the air before slowly turning over and getting back to her feet. Smirking cheekily at this Zira would start bouncing on her feet in preparation. "That or get knocked out again, go ahead and flip that coin." Zira said cheekily as she began to circle Huan with a confident grin on her face.

Huan used the moment Zira afforded her to stretch her back, she would have understood rushing in straight when the count stopped and doubly so appreciated that her opponent did not do that. She smirked, and matched Zira's movements "You need to be a bit of a gambler to be a fighter and I do feel lucky right about now."

Right after saying that she would dart in, going low in an effort to make it seem like she was going to sweep the other woman's legs. She was sure though that Zira would easily get out of that danger and so the real attack here came after as she would twist her body, spin and putting her hands on the mat rise up with a capoeira-styled kick aimed at the head with all the momentum of that continued movement

Zira smirked as she stared down her opponent, the confidence from Huan despite taking the first count of the match making the white haired beauty all the more excited for the rest of the battle with her. "Just don't press that luck too far." Zira warned with a grin as she put her arms up and readied herself as Huan suddenly darted in low, as if for a sweep! Immediately Zira would start sweeping backwards to avoid the hands of her opponent. However it was a bluff as Huan placed her hands on the mat and brought her legs up! Eyes widening in realization Zira would put her arms up just in the nick of time as Huan's foot crashed into them, taking Zira off her feet and sending her back in a roll! "UGH!" Zira grunted in pain as she tumbled back trying to catch her feet under her as she did so before pushing back up to her feet, looking a bit dazed in the process!

The kick she delivered might not have had quite an effect Huan was hoping for but the one it had was enough. With Zira struggling to keep her footing Huan was about to make that task even harder.

She quickly spun her feet back under herself and pushed back up, breaking into a run. Then as she reached her opponent she jumped up, reaching for the back of her head to pull it up to her raising knee to hopefully knock her off her feet and land on top.

Caught flush by Huan's kick Zira was able to stay standing but was clearly rocked by the blow, vulnerable as a result before Huan. An opportunity that the woman wasn't about to waste as her fellow mma star came running in, leaping into the air and driving her knee into Zira's face with a brutal knee strike! "GAH!" Zira yelled out in pain as she was taken off her feet and sent down to the mat with Huan mounted on top of her!
