Confrontation

There was no denying it at this point, Karen had confessed long ago, but now the proof was undeniable, even to Gil's naïve mind, she could no longer deny the truth as it was slapping her had across the face...!

"...I- I-" Gil stammered again, yelping and jumping up as Karen slammed her fists against the table, causing multiple objects to fall onto the floor. Gil shook, she let out a whine.

"...I won't...! I won't fight you!" Gil built up the courage to speak, but her voice was shaky and clearly showed fear. She didn't like this, Karen was her friend, why would she ever destroy something near and dear to Gil's heart? "...We already fought! And if we ever do again, I want it to be on good terms, and right now... Y-you're being a bad friend...!" Gil stomped her foot down, still unable to find the courage to look Karen in the eyes...!

There was only one thing left for Karen to do. She had thought she'd already gone far enough, what with breaking Gil's beloved hockey stick. Gil would even likely realize by now that Silver was sent here with bad intent by the dark haired amazon. And yet still, she wouldn't yield.

"I...SAID..." Karen was outright screaming now, with those walking past the office now looking in. And they would do so to find quite the aggressive sight, as Karen reached across the table she had been slamming on to roughly grab Gil by the scruff of her outfit. With both hands!

"FIGHHHHHHHHT. MEEEEEEE...!" Her voice booming to its loudest volume yet, with the amazon going red in the face!

Try as she might to say no, Karen simply wasn't taking that for an answer. Gil still was trying to process it in her mind, why all of this happened, what caused this to get so bad and if she could have done anything to stop it...!

Karen reached over the desk, grabbing Gil by the scruff of her shirt, pulling her closer, forcing the smaller woman onto her tip-toes. "...Why?! I-I didn't do anything wrong to you, why should we have to fight?!" Gil was on the verge of tears at this point. She chewed on her lip to try and fight it back, but the waterworks were working harder than she was and eventually they started to fall. "...I thought we were friends..."

Karen had Gil to her tiptoes, with her powerful mitts ensuring there was no pulling away for the small girl. Her face was clearly torn up, but through Gil's tearful gaze, it looked as though she was all rage.

"I was never...EVER...Your friend..." Karen snarled, a quiver in her voice as she briefly looked away, before reaffirming herself.

"I will never...EVER...BE...your friend..." With a clear of her throat, Karen brought her head back as she looked down her nose at Gil, with all the emotion briefly flushed from her face.

"Now. Fight me."

Gil's lip quivered as the tears rolled down her cheeks, she tried to fight back full on bawling, but Karen's words cut deep, she trusted her, she saw her as someone who was maybe a bit cold, but still would be there for her, would support her, and cared for her, but she was wrong.

"...Fine... We'll fight..." Gil couldn't deny her any longer, she was the one responsible for breaking her stick, she caused Gil all this pain for reasons she couldn't understand. "...Just please leave..."

The moment Gil accepted Karen's 'challenge,' she'd not only let go but outright turn around. Her back was now to Gil, with her face out of view before she'd pace to the door. Before she'd stop, with her hand now to the door frame as she stopped herself just shy of turning around to face Gil again.

"Contracts already written up...It'll get to you..."

And just like that, the amazon was gone, leaving Gil alone in her office...
