The Smother Gauntlet

Gil probably should have known better than to try such a maneuver, it was risky as can be, and the worst possible outcome came from it, as she slipped back, knocking Minerva's head hard into the barricade, as Gil's back side mostly broke her own fall...!

"...Ow... Are you oka-" Gil turned around, standing up, looking at what she was sure was a now broken woman...! "...OH GOSH, OH GOSH, OH MY GOSH..." Gil panicked, nervously running her hands through her hair. she paced back and fourth for a moment, sure that she had just done the worst thing possible to this poor woman...!

But then, Minerva showed signs of life, little movements, not a lot, but she was still there...! "...I'm so sorry, please forgive me... I-I'll get you help...!" Gil looked around, the match was signaled to go on, Gil was shocked by it, but she was still determined to get Minerva the help she needed...! "...Come on, let me help you...!" Gil clumsily helped her up, dragging her along before clumsily tossing her into the ring, pushing her butt to make sure she was fully in before joining her!

"...Okay just, sit tight...!" Gil dragged her by her feet to the center of the ring, squatting over her face for just a moment so it counted as a smother. "...She's done, see...!" Gil raised her foe's arm up and let it drop, if Minerva didn't have it in her, she would be eliminated...!

Despite the favorable position that she had been in moments before, Gil's botched attempt at a powerbomb had not only ended up in a rougher landing than perhaps a regular powerbomb for Minerva, but the smack on the head that she suffered on the barricade had left her down and out, barely even moving! It seemed that the result, even favorable for Gil, was not at all what she wanted, as she began to immediately panic upon seeing Minerva laid out, before looking to fix things by picking up Minerva, who was basically dead weight at this point, and shoving her back into the ring!

The goth rolled into the squared circle and came to a stop, and as she barely managed a grunt or groan, she would suddenly be silenced yet again, this time by Gil dropping down and planting her thick ass on Minerva's face!

"Mmmhh... Mmph..." Came a lowly grunt, and any chance of Minerva waking up now was quickly snuffed out, as she would have her arm raised up before dropped down to the mat with ease! It seemed that Gil had managed to, unintentionally through an act of intended mercy, smother the remainder of the fight out of Minerva, and leave her well and truly KO'd!

Gil couldn't help but feel bad for what she had done to Minerva, even if only by accident! At-least she seemed to be mostly okay, and she would get some much needed rest after Gil aided her by burying her pretty face between her plump cheeks, showing the ref that she was good and done!

She lifted herself up, still with a look of worry in her eyes as the medical crew helped Minerva quickly out of the ring and backstage to tend to her nasty bump! "...I'm so sorry, I-I'll make it up to you, I promise...!" Gil shouted out to the woman, though it was unlikely she heard anything at all...

Gil sighed, stretching her back with a yelp then a groan. She could move, but her back was in poor shape, not to mention, she was starting to tire... "...Alright Gil, wake up...!" Gil slapped her face between her hands shaking the fatigue away! "...Who's next...!" Gil backed into the center of the ring, awaiting her next opponent and challenger...!

Time of Victory started playing as the next person in the gauntlet for Gil would walk out, a familiar yellow and black clad figure would walk out on the stage as Clara Gaster, one of LAW's premier lightweights, waved to the crowd, slapping hands with folks in the front row, doing a quick round around the ring before getting inside, waving at Gil!

"Hello!", Clara would wave to Gil, knowing that despite the fact that she had more Ls than Ws, Gil was one of the most popular women on the roster. As such, she wouldn't take her lightly, as she was determined to beat the brunette:

"Hope you are ready to get smothered like there is no tomorrow!", Clara tried to sound tough, despite the fact that she was blushing at fighting in the smother match!

Gil's look of determination quickly cracked into a smile as she saw a familiar face coming down the ramp...! "...Ah! It's you, it's you...!" Gil hopped up and down! She hadn't formally met Clara before, but she had both heard and seen plenty of her! She was one of the biggest names in this league, and had been for some time! Gil watched her long before she even stepped foot into the amature scene, so seeing her as the next challenger was an incredible feeling that was more than enough to shock Gil full of energy...!

Gil walked back a bit, allowing the woman to step into the ring! "...I hate to break it to you, but it's going to be the other way around...!" Gil rubbed her hands together and bounced from one foot to the other...!

DING DING.

The 5th round had begun, and there was now a clear advantage for anyone other than Gil, regardless of their ability due to Gil's slowly depleting energy...! "...Watch out...!" Gil took charge, sprinting with her head down aiming toward Clara's chest, but it was a feint! Once within range, Gil would drop to her knees and attempt to slide through her foe's legs only to pop-up behind her and attempt a german-suplex! It was a risky maneuver, one slip=up or good read by Clara could throw the whole thing off...!

"Mweheheh...that's what you'd like to think...", Clara let out, getting in position for the next round. Once it started proper, Gil would rush at Clara, but right as she raised her arms to grapple with Gil, the brunette would duck under Clara's legs, grappling her from behind...

...though Clara got ready right as Gil got behind her, the Shadow Lord flipping in mid air as she landed behind the rising Gil!

Right as she did, she would wrap her arms around Gil's waist to try and throw her backwards for her own German Suplex!

Gil knew her trick was high-risk and high-reward, but at this point in the gauntlet she had to make some gambles, playing it safe might not work so well against someone in much better physical condition than herself...!

Gil managed to slide between Clara's legs, popping up behind her but once she did... "...H-huh?! Are you a ghost?!" Gil stood wide-eyed as her foe seemingly vanished in the blink of an eye, but no! She had flipped over the goat-themed wrestler, landing behind her and giving her a German Suplex of her own...!

"...AH!" Gil screamed as the arms wrapped around her waist, lifting her up into the air and slamming her hard against the unforgiving canvas! Gil almost went entirely limp, at-least for a moment, as she groaned and reached for the rope to help her up, wincing as she did so...! He back couldn't take much more...!

”Very close to being one!”, Clara would quip right as she would flip Gil into the air with a German Suplex!

Clara felt a bit sorry for Gil. She wanted to prove herself as a good LAW wrestler, putting herself against as many folks as possible in one match to prove herself great…but Clara would live up to the challenge. She was going to test Gil to the best of her ability!

As the goat-themed wrestler rose back up to her feet, Clara would approach her, wind up her hand…and get some air from out of Gil with a harsh Knife Edge Chop to her chest!

Gil managed to get back to her feet after the suplex nearly folded her spine in half, but it was going to take more than that to keep her out of this! She stood back stronger than ever, as made clear by her wobbling legs and clinging to the ropes to keep her stable, all before she caught a nasty blow to the chest, causing her to fall back against the corner, only just barely able to keep standing as she used her free hand to clutch her chest!

She winced through the pain, still, there was a fire in her eyes. Her spirit wasn't so easy to break! "...Well, you'll for sure be one after I smother you out-cold...!" Gil may not have been physically fighting back as much as she should, but verbally she wasn't backing down!

Gil waited for Clara to get closer, hooking her arms over the top ropes to hold her up as she shot both legs out toward her foe, hoping to catch any part of her body, to knock her flat on her own rear-end...!

Right as Clara’s arm let out a loud clap against Gil’s chest, the goat wrestler’s eyes would lit up, as she quipped at Clara:

”Tough words for someone about to be cho—OOOUF!!!”

Right as she tried to speak back to Gil, the brunette would drive her legs upwards, driving them into Clara’s chest, dropping the Shadow Lord onto her butt! Clara rushed to try and get up back to her feet, before Gil got back at her for her attacks!
