Cheryl Williams vs Megumi Mutoh - Apex Qualifier Match

Cheryl's situation could be a life lesson for anyone in wrestling, how quickly you could lose a match no matter how far you got. Cheryl had dominated most of the match, pushed Megumi to her limits and nearly destroyed her arm to try and end this match. None of it stopped Megumi from being able to turn things around and keep fighting before hitting a piledriver that almost knocked Cheryl out by itself, the moonsault made sure that Cheryl didn't have a chance to return from her mistake.

Megumi had powered through the best of Cheryl's offense and got the right moves she needed from the cheerleaders major mistakes. This would be a tough loss to get back from, and once Cheryl could think straight she would need to go over this match to make sure this didn't happen again.

Megumi sighed in relief now that the match had ended. Getting herself up onto her feet, she had her arm raised by the referee. The crowd cheered for the former Wrestle Angel, and she smiled, knowing that with this match, she had qualified herself for the Apex event where she could compete for the Openweight title. She would briefly celebrate her victory before she returned back to Cheryl, offering her a hand to help her up.

"Are you alright?" Megumi asked. "Here, gimme your hand." She offered to help the cheerleader up. Cheryl had proven herself to be a rather formidable opponent, and Megumi had decided to pay her respect to her. "You're pretty good. I hope to face you again sometime." She smiled, showing her competitive side. She wished to face Cheryl again in the future, and at that time, she would make sure that she would win again.

Cheryl had been knocked silly by those last few hits and was barely able to think straight while Megumi celebrated her victory. She couldn't even speak even when she started to come too, only moaning in pain as she attempted to recover from what was a tough loss. She thought Megumi was close to defeat so many times and she was so sure that she had actually beaten her, it was a little frustrating to lose because you took a move like that. Cheryl realized now she needed more heavy hitting moves in her arsenal.

Cheryl could only nod her to tell Megumi she was okay, still not able to talk while she contemplated her next move. But she wanted to show her respect too despite her lack of speaking. "Sometime." She muttered. Able to get one word out before putting an arm around Megumi's side and raising her arm. It was a loss she would be bitter about while watching it over again but she knew Megumi had been tough enough to earn it.
