The Fortunate Storm Before Apex: Lyra Heartfield vs. Alizeh Midori

[Pegasus]

Lyra had to keep up if she wanted to match against Alizeh and keep her grounded. She lined up her sight so that Alizeh’s body was in front of a corner and she ran going for a quick Running Dropkick hoping to launch and ricochet the Emerald Storm into the corner hard! If that was successful, Lyra would get back to her feet and back up to an opposing corner raising both pointer fingers in the air with some in the crowd mimicking her. They cheered hard and her fans supported her all the way before she took off running. Lyra decided to try for a move she doesn’t use often and that is her signature, The Crystal Ball (Cannonball Dive)! Her weapon was her back and Alizeh’s prone body was the target!

[Bare]

Despite having been in control Alizeh was now the one stunned and in danger thanks to Lyra's quick pele kick! Stunned as she was from the move it would leave Alizeh totally vulnerable as Lyra would then leap up, driving her feet into Alizeh's gut with a drop kick that sent her flying back into a corner breathless! "Ugh.." She groaned out, arms holding onto the ropes as she tried to clear her head, but looked up to see Lyra already in midair, coming crashing down into Alizeh with a cannonball! "GAHHH!" Alizeh yelled out, getting squashed into the corner and laying back, looking wiped out from the signature move!

[Pegasus]

Lyra had connected her signature move well as she rolled out of the corner smirking confidently. She grabbed Alizeh’s legs and brought her to the middle. Lyra could go for the pin attempt, but likely, Alizeh would kick out so she had to keep damaging her so she would stay down. Lyra brought Alizeh up by her green hair as Lyra tried delivering two stiff chops to Alizeh’s chest. If that worked, Lyra would run the ropes and try to hit a Headscissors Takedown, a move she learned courtesy of the Black Tornado!

[Bare]

Getting crushed into the corner Alizeh wasn't able to really react or do much in response. 'Damn.' Was all she was able to think in fact as she tried to shake the stars out of her head, knowing there was a lot Lyra could do from here. Feeling her feet grabbed and dragged out though Alizeh expected a pin but was instead pulled up to her feet! "Ngh! Agh!" Alizeh groaned out twice from the blows, leaving her chest stinging in pain, but also waking her up a bit as she watched Lyra run the ropes before coming back at her.. Gritting her teeth Alizeh would push herself backwards, towards the ropes to avoid the attack and instead let Lyra fall to the mat! Crouching while holding her chest Alizeh would wait for Lyra to start to get up before making her next move.

[Pegasus]

Lyra was in control of this match and she wouldn’t let Alizeh get the better of her knowing what the Texan could do. She ran the ropes and tried going for a great move a good friend of hers uses, but Lyra would be surprised not seeing Alizeh in front of her. You could say for the first time ever, Lyra didn’t see this coming. Lyra would just leap into the air and fall flat on her face grabbing it as she groaned resting on her back. Lyra would shake her head and try getting up not knowing what Alizeh could do from here.

Managing to avoid Lyra's next bit of offense Alizeh would take a deep breath, still recovering from that cannonball move which really did a number on her. Even so Alizeh wasn't out of this yet, and was just waiting on Lyra to get back up before putting her plan into action. Seeing this about to happen Alizeh would then push off the ropes, running at Lyra and leaping up, grabbin at Lyra as she neared to swing herself up and around Lyra, attempting to wrap her legs around the blonde's head while also making a grab for the woman's arm, trying to lock in a tilt-a-whirl headscissor armbar!

Lyra saw Alizeh heading towards her as the green-haired opponent locked the legs around the blonde’s head and wrenched on her arm. Lyra screamed as the referee checked on her tapping her left arm and asking if this was it. The fortune teller went down on her left knee as Alizeh locked in the hold tightly and she was hunkering her weight down on Lyra. Lyra stood back up retreating towards a corner to smash Alizeh’s back off of. She did it repeatedly trying to get Alizeh to loosen her grip. This was the best defense for her right now.

Escaping Lyra's clutches was good, but no way to win a match, no Alizeh needed to make some more offensive measures if she was to get the widened gap she needed. So running forward and swinging onto a now standing Lyra's neck Alizeh would hang, pulling down on the blonde's arm while squeezing her head for a brutally effective compound hold!

Feeling the fortune teller go to her knee Alizeh would smirk, thinking she may just have her foe here. But as they rose up she knew there would be trouble as Lyra backed up, smashing Alizeh into the corner not once, not twice, but three times! "AGH!" Yelling in pain Alizeh would release her submission, falling off of Lyra's shoulders and down into a seated position on the corner once more. The position that got her into this mess to begin with!

[Pegasus]

Lyra was successful in getting Alizeh off and the Emerald Storm was dazed sitting in the corner. Lyra had an open window of time here as she could back up and go for another Crystal Ball Cannonball, but Alizeh could just slip outside to counter. That crash landing would leave Lyra down and out for the meantime so that was off the table. She pleaded the universe for a vision as she began stomping Alizeh down in the corner. She closed her eyes and gritted her teeth focusing her concentration in two areas. The vision that came to her showed Alizeh grabbing her stomping leg and executing a Dragon Screw Leg attack so she tried speeding up the stomps to get Alizeh winded enough to where she couldn’t counter!

[Bare]

Despite managing to catch Lyra in a tight scissor and arm bar combo Alizeh wasn't quite able to do anything about to stop. As a result she got backed up into a corner, smashed into it multiple times, eventually dropping her down to the mar, propped up into the corner. Gritting her teeth and wincing Alizeh would look up, knowing she was in position for that cannonball senton of Lyra's. However as she did so, Alizeh would instead be met with a series of stomps!

"Ngh! Ugh! Agh!" She'd groan out in pain from the stomps! 'Are they speeding up?' Alizeh thought to herself as the speed of the stomps seemed to be getting faster and faster, despite it however Alizeh would try and bring her arms up, attempting lock her hands around Lyra's foot as it came down! If successful Alizeh would suck in a breath before trying to push herself up to her feet, all while holding onto Lyra's leg for what would be an attempt at a dragon screw! That is if Lyra didn't see it coming...
