Countdown to Finale: Toshimi Minami vs Tilde Voclain

Minami was a master of technicality. Not just exclusively with submissions. But the manipulation of limbs and momentum in general, this including using her body to tangle around someone elses to take them off their feet or pin them. In this case both after she brought Tilde down from her clothesline attempt into a crucifix bomb pin. More than enough to catch the girl by surprise and keep her pinned down for a nearfall.

As Minami expected though Tilde escaped... but not in the way she expected. Normally she would have thought a standard kickout or rolling to one side to get a shoulder up, something like that. Right now though TIlde did neither, instead rolling over and getting to her feet, pulling Minami along for the ride in the process! 'Shit!' Minami thought to herself knowing this was bad as she worked to untangle her legs and arms from Tilde, trying to push off.

But she was too late, Tilde was already falling back, pulling Minami down and guaranteeing that she would hit the mat! Luckily though Minami had already started to untangle herself from the woman, so even though she crashed into the mat, she would at least be able to roll away from her opponent after doing so! "Ugh!" Wincing in pain from the impact though she wouldn't be able to do much if successful with her escape.

To say it wasn't going great would be an understatement, so far at every turn, Tilde was being foiled, even when it seemed like she was about to get ahead her opponent managed to do something that set her back even more. Even now her counter did not go as well as she wanted as Minami managed to squirm out, making Tilde take some of the force of the fall in the process. At least it wasn't a complete failure as it seemed that when Tilde was getting up, her foe was still down.

Wanting to capitalize on even the slightest chance, Tilde would rush to Minami and try to get a hold of her legs. if she even got that far she would stuff them under her armpits before lifting up and starting to spin. She would make a few rotations like that before letting go to send her opponent towards the corner or out of the ring with that big swing!

So far the match had been going less than Minami wanted, but nowhere near as badly as it could have been. A big factor for why being Tilde's raw physical might. The woman was a major danger and Minami couldn't afford to let herself be suplexed or strikes too often. But this caution meant she couldn't get anywhere near as much offense as she wanted, leaving the two at a stalemate with Minami's experience and savvy being what gave her the winning edge thus far.

Until now. Barely managing to escape the full effect of Tilde's counter Minami wasn't in any position to attack or even properly defend herself. Which is why when her legs were grabbed by her opponent she didn't have anything to fight back with other than looking up at the woman in shock. 'Another crab? Couldn't be.' Minami thought to herself before being pulled along and spun around in a giant swing, unable to do anything but yell in shock as the world spun!

Tilde would spin a good five times before letting go of Minami, seeing the girl fly a good way through the air and towards the corner but just a few inches short of it. She couldn't really be picky about the outcome but she really hoped it would reach there. Regardless she would make her way to where her opponent landed, taking a few rather shaky steps at first as her head spun a little. Then when she reached her opponent she would attempt to heft her over her shoulders to lock her into an Argentinian backbreaker.

Getting sent flying by Tilde from the giant swing was far from ideal, but at least she ended up near the corner, a potential safe haven. But as Minami pushed herself up all she saw was multiple corners, going in and out of focus from how dizzy she was. 'Shit.' Minami thought, far too dizzy to take the steps necessary to defend herself. As a result she was all but helpless as Tilde came from behind, grabbing the smaller woman and lifting her onto her shoulders for a argentine backbreaker! "Aghhh!" Minami yelled out in pain as her spine was bent back, unable to do anything for the moment!

Finally having some control, Tilde aimed to get the most out of this moment, the more time she held that hold, the more likely it was that her more technical opponent would find a way to slip out and even possibly counter like she already shown she could. Given that Tilde would rock Minami up and down to make sure her back was nice and softened in preparation for the next part of her plan.

If she managed to keep the hold she had she would push Minami up and over her head, turning with the women in her grasp for the crowd before dropping her down and getting onto one knee to deliver a devastating backbreaker!

Pulled and bent over Tilde's back Minami wouldn't have many options on escaping besides enduring it. Even as a technical master there just wasn't much to be done in a hold like this, or at least nothing that Tilde wouldn't be expecting since she used such tactics earlier in the match.

Soon enough though Tilde would indeed get tired of the hold, but she wouldn't be letting Minami go without consequence. Instead Minami found herself thrown off of the woman's shoulders, and slammed onto her waiting knee in a back breaker! "Aghhhhhh!" Screaming in pain as her upper and lower body shot up from the impact Minami would be left gasping for the first time in this match!

Letting go of Minami and letting her fall to the mat, Tilde for the first time in this match felt in control of the situation. So much so in fact that she thought it might be it and with such conviction, she would get on top of Minami, hooking one of her legs, going for the cover, hoping that she did enough damage for her opponent to stay down.

Left stunned and disoriented from a flurry of heavy strikes and moves Minami was almost at a loss on how she could easily rectify the situation and get back to a dominant position, or even a neutral one! Tilde for her part however sought out a pinfall attempt. An all together not terrible thought, but certainly a premature one.

"ONE!"

"TWO!!"

Just before the ref could swing their hand down again Minami would push her whole lower body up in order to kick out of the pin!

It was perfect, just a bit more and Tilde could break the loading streak she had been on ever since joining LAW, not only that but in a fight against one of the APEX competitors. That was exactly what she needed... then came the kick out. As soon as it happened she turned to the ref only to be met with two fingers raised to indicate how far it got. Just a split second more and she could have had it.

Met with that reality Tilde growled in frustration as she rose to her feet. She would look to Minami and try to get a hold of her to get her back to her feet and send her to the corner with an Irish whip.
