The Fortunate Storm Before Apex: Lyra Heartfield vs. Alizeh Midori

[Pegasus]

Alizeh was down on the mat as Lyra took the early lead for the match and the crowd cheered on Lyra’s offense. It was useful against Lyra when Chigusa used it so that was one thing Lyra picked up on in her further training for future qualifiers. With Alizeh down, Lyra looked to head up top and picked a corner to start climbing. Lyra balances herself on top and locked onto a prone Alizeh looking for an aerial maneuver. Lyra would jump and try for a Swanton Bomb on the Emerald Storm’s stomach!

[Bare]

Taken for a ride with trifecta of german suplexes Alizeh would be left groaning in pain on the mat from the third, left to watch Lyra climb the apron not far from her. Despite being down though Alizeh was far from out, and was at least able to see her opponent make the ascent and leap off the corner. 'Not so fast...' Alizeh thought to herself as she raised her legs up in order to make the blonde crash onto her knees instead!

It was shocking how fast a rising star like Alizeh was being dominated so early in this match, but it just proves how capable of a wrestler Lyra was. Lyra took flight with an attempt of a Swanton Bomb having to take the risk of not knowing whether Alizeh could counter in time. However, the timing couldn’t be any more perfect for the Emerald Storm! As Lyra descended, Alizeh got the knees up as Lyra hit them point blank making her stand up before falling on her hands and knees. She screamed in agony and grabbed her back as the crowd cringed at her crash landing!

Despite getting off to a bad start in this match as a result of Lyra's quick evasion Alizeh wasn't one to be down for the count for long. Where Lyra made her mistake was taking the time to get up to the top rope, giving Alizeh just enough time to recover and prepare, raising her knees up just as Lyra jumped to have the girl land there and up hurt on the mat! Pushing herself up after wards Alizeh would give a smirk to her downed opponent.

"Heh pretty good." She would compliment before reaching down, aiming to grab hold of Lyra and pull her to her feet with her back facing the corner before leaning down and placing the blonde's arm over her neck while Alizeh's hand went to the fortune teller's waist. "Now let me show ya the better version of this!" Alizeh would say as she then swung herself back and Lyra through the air, aiming to drop the girl back in a snap suplex, but she wouldn't let go.

Instead the moment her back hit the mat Alizeh would pop her legs up, swiveling her hips to bring herself back to her feet along with Lyra before swinging back for a second suplex before swiverling her hips again, and aiming to finish her version of what Lyra had done, only with a bit of Latino Heat by trying to land the Three Amigos!

Lyra would be grabbed back to her feet as her back was killing her after hitting Alizeh’s knees on the way down. Alizeh was going to take advantage of this as the Emerald Storm hit a Snap Suplex making Lyra crash on the mat taking breath out of her lungs. Alizeh got her back up hitting one more Suplex and Lyra could tell where this was going. They both popped back up as Alizeh finished her trio of Suplexes as the crowd chanted “WHO’S YOUR PAPI?! WHO’S YOUR PAPI?! WHO’S YOUR PAPI?!” Once Alizeh released her, Lyra gritted her teeth and grabbed her back trying to regain some breath in her lungs as she was out for the meantime.

One great move deserved another is how the old saying went, or something to that effect. So if Lyra would deliver a trio of suplexes to Alizeh, well then the Emerald Storm would do the same, only in her own way. The fact that it kept the two at a level amount of damage helped as well. But now as she stood up Alizeh would see Lyra looking rather weakened and beaten down from the moves making her smirk as an idea came to mind.

Quickly approaching the blonde Alizeh would grab the girl's arm, hooking her leg over it before rolling over Lyra's body, grabbing her arm as she did so, rolling the girl around onto her shoulders for what looked like a La Magistral pin! But Alizeh wasn't holding Lyra for a pin, instead Alizeh was looking to use the position to throw her legs up over the blonde's elevated leg while reaching to grab the other, leaning back while pulling to try and transition directly into a banana split submission!

Lyra groaned as she held her back after taking three Suplexes in a row and Alizeh wasn’t going to let this open window to do what she wanted get away from her. She got Lyra up on her hands and knees locking up one of her arms before rolling over her body going for a La Magistral pin! The referee got down to count and thought it was a pin, but Alizeh waved her off transitioning into a submission. A banana spilt hold could provide trouble for Lyra to get out of so she has to act fast. All she could do was thrash around in Alizeh’s grip hoping that would be enough to cause trouble for The Emerald Storm to lock in her submission.

Managing a successful trio of suplexes to even the playing field Alizeh would grin as she planned on furthering the lead she found herself in by catching Lyra's arm and trying to bring her around via a la magistral before hooking their legs to pull back in a banana split.

But Lyra had picked up on what Alizeh was doing, thrashing and struggling in her grip, making it hard to maintain and making Alizeh groan softly.

Trying to play it safe Alizeh would use her grips on the woman's legs to roll them over to where Lyra was on her stomach, if successful then Alizeh would sit up while trying to pull up on the leg of Lyra she had caught to transition into a single legged boston crab!

[Pegasus]

Lyra and Alizeh rolled around with either girl not giving up control to the other. Alizeh wanted to try for another submission and rolled forward bringing Lyra on her stomach as she quickly mounted her back. The Emerald Storm pulled back on Lyra’s left leg and wrenches it hard as Lyra pounded her fists on the canvas and the ref checking her to make sure it wasn’t a tap out. However, with a foot free, Lyra would try to push off the canvas to slip out of the hold and from under Alizeh quickly! If that happened, Lyra got back to her feet before performing a backflip to hit a Pele Kick to Alizeh’s head!

Lyra's struggling was definitely a pain to deal with when trying to secure the submission on her opponent, a but a quick roll over would hopefully leave Alizeh in the advantage by transitioning into a single leg boston crab. However Lyra was pretty skilled despite her oddities, and as a result was able to slip from Alizeh's grip and get up. "Oh no you do-NGH!" Alizeh yelled out as Lyra managed to leap back, smacking her foot into Alizeh's face! Stumbling back from the impact she was standing, but still stunned and vulnerable for the moment!
