Jem Holland vs Dana Ashford - Stepping Stone to Apex

Jem had a unique way of channeling the support of her fan base and capitalizing on her charisma. Her gumption and the energy that she brought to both her matches and streams certainly set her apart from your typical LAW talent! The E-Girl meant every word when she would climb the ranks by making a stepping stone out of Dana Ashford! And she got up and faced The Smiling Demon to try and make good on that goal, even in spite of Dana's efforts to crush her and the momentum that the fans had behind her!

"Oh yeah?" Jem smiled cheekily.

"Then let's see if you've been keeping up with your cardio! Show me what that stamina stat is looking like! Try to keep up!" Jem would boast before abruptly darting forward and dashing towards Ashford!

The fans reacted as Jem broke out into a run and closed the gap between herself and her larger, curvier opponent in a matter of seconds! But rather than attack Dana head-on, Jem would duck and run past the heavyweight, hoping to avoid any attempt at a Big Boot, Lariat, or other strikes! If Jem made it past Dana, she'd make her way to the other side of the ring and turn to bring her back to the ropes, ricocheting off them and picking up speed!

Jem would wink to her foe as she made her return trip barreling towards her foe as she closed the distance once more and looked to hook her arms over Dana's hip! Jem work swing her legs upwards in an arc as she tried to channel her speed into an attempt at a Tilt-a-Whirl DDT, flipping upwards and hooking her arm over Ashford's head to try and take her down and floor the famed wrestler to try and turn the tides!

Dana watched as Jem charged towards her, waiting for the right moment to strike. She held out her arm, preparing herself to hit the younger woman with her attack, but then, Jem ducked low and slipped past her. Of course, Dana already anticipated this and quickly turned around to see her opponent hitting the ropes to launch herself back towards her.

Dana didn't have much time trying to ascertain what her opponent was trying to do, but her wealth in experience certainly helped her to see what her opponent was attempting to do. Of course, she wasn't quick enough to stop Jem from actually executing her next attack, which was a tilt-a-whirl DDT, in which she caught Dana's head before bringing it down onto the mat.

"NNNRGHHH!!!"

Her head impacted against the canvas, leaving her stunned. Dana was on her mat after taking the attack. Of course, she wouldn't be stunned for long as she would try to roll over to her side, though for the time being, she would not be able to protect herself against whatever her younger opponent would do next.

Jem's peppiness and energetic attitude shine through whether she was dishing it out or taking it! But contrary to her streaming career, it wasn't all fun and games for the smaller blonde! Holland was bent on trying strategy after strategy and move after move until she settled on something that worked! Something she could use to topple the Smiling Demon and make it to Apex with all the momentum in the world! And right now her x-factor was her advantage in speed!

"Wooooo!!!!" Jem cheered and the crowd cheered in kind after she popped up to her feet! The thousands of #JemFans wooo'd back in kind!

Despite struggling to get a leg up on Dana so far, The E-Girl persisted! And with the crowd behind her, she downed Dana Ashford!

"No rest for the wicked, Momma! E-Girl Jem's got a qualifier to win!" Jem would boast as she pursued a rolling Dana!

Jem would look to grab hold of the buxom beauty's arm and pull her up off the canvas, making use of Dana's roll to pull her up in one fluid motion to get her in her feet and push her into the ropes to set her up for an Irish Whip! Jem looked to continue trying to outpace Dana and keep the momentum in her favor!

"1 v 1, Dana! You and me! Try to keep! Up!" Jem would tout as she pushed against the small of Ashford's back to get her to run the ropes!

Immediately following this, Jem would step forward and position herself into the center of the ring! The streamer would bend over and hope to set up her opponent for a Back Bodydrop as Dana came back from running the ropes! Jem would look to show that she could overcome the massive difference in size and strength and toss Dana overhead in front of a roaring, raucous, live crowd!

Dana was on the mat when Jem went to pick her up, and she followed the motion before she was sent running towards the ropes with an Irish whip. Thinking fast, Dana would try to figure out a way to turn the table as she hit the ropes, rebounding from them and returning back to the rambunctious E-girl. Closing in to Jem, she knew what her opponent was planning to do, and Dana planned to thwart it.

Seeing Jem bending over, as if waiting for Dana to come in so that she could execute a back body drop on her, Dana had decided that she would cut that plan short by bringing her right leg up, hitting Jem in the face with a running big boot. With someone Dana's size, the impact should be powerful enough, and might even be loud enough to be heard if it connected.

Jem wanted to keep her foot on the gas pedal in the match! The E-Girl quickened the pace, flooring Dana and sending her to the ropes in the hopes of setting her up for something big! But just as effective as speed was experience! And on her way running back from the ropes, Dana confirmed what every savvy fan already knew, that the Matriarch of the Ashford dynasty had all the experience a seasoned veteran could ever hope for!

"OW!" Jem would cry out as the sole of Dana's boot meet her blonde head!

Bending over to set up for the Bodydrop proved to be a mistake when Ashford lifted her foot to catch Jem with a Running Big Boot to the crowd of her head! The sound of the kick connecting echoed out! The many Jem fans in attendance would gasp and react with surprise and concern!

Jem would be sent backward before landing on her back and covering her scalp with both hands! The smaller woman would close her eyes and grit her teeth in anguish! But she'd quickly roll over and begin pushing herself up to all fours!

"Owowowowow! Okay, maybe I telegraphed that just a bit!" Holland owned up to her mistake as she slowly tried to get back up to a vertical base.

Making use of her momentum from her rebound, Dana hit Jem right in her face with a running big boot, knocking her down. Having no time to waste, Dana then stopped herself as she looked at the downed Jem, seeing her trying to get herself back up on her feet, and she knew that giving her any chance for recovery would make it harder for her to win this match. So, Dana would approach her opponent when she was slowly rising up, coming from behind her so that she could take her from behind, wrapping her arms around her waist.

"Now, now, don't say that. I'd say that's a good strategy." Dana told Jem, as if praising her for attempting her move earlier. "Not that it'd work on me, of course." Securing her grip around Jem's waist in the rear waist lock, Dana would display her prodigious strength by attempting to hoist her up and throw her over with a picture-perfect German suplex, sending Jem shoulders first onto the mat with the move. And to maximize damage, Dana would also release her body upon impact.

Jem had gotten some momentum rolling, but Dana very quickly found an answer! Ever the veteran, Ashford made sure to stay on top of her opponent! The E-Girl could do some damage if she managed to get the ball rolling. And Dana was out to make sure she cut Jem off at the pass, well before that could happen!

"Woah!" Jem would yelp in surprise as Dana took her from behind with a Waistlock the moment she was up on her feet!

"Aaahhhh!" Jem would exclaim as she was swung in an arc with a Release German Suplex!

In no time at all, Jem was returned to the mat, landing on her shoulders and neck! The commentators calling the match would remark on Dana's technique and how effective it was! The impact would see Jem roll a couple of rotations along the canvas before ending in the nearest corner of the ring! Jem would hold her head as she leaned against the bottom turnbuckle.

Slowly but surely, the E-Girl would pull on the ropes to hoist herself back up to her feet once more. Though she practically had swirls in her eyes as she did so.

"I'll find...something that works on you...I just need....a little bit of healing...quick pause break..." A loopy Jem Holland would mutter audibly as she tried to collect herself in the corner and find some way to get herself back into the match!

Showing off her strength by suplexing Jem, Dana then picked herself up and looked behind her to see how Jem was faring. She did the release German suplex to add more damage to her opponent. Seeing Jem at the corner, pulling herself up, Dana got an idea, so she would wait for her opponent to rise back up to her full height at her corner before she executed her next move.

While Jem pulled herself up, Dana made her way towards the opposite corner, preparing herself for her next move. Once Jem was standing on her two feet, Dana would then break into a sprint, making use of the distance between the two of them to pick up her momentum. From there, she would try to hit Jem who was currently at the corner with a corner splash, flattening her between her body and the turnbuckle!

Not content with just flattening Jem with her own body, Dana would also keep pressing her own body against Jem's at the corner, grinding and pressing her own thick body against the smaller woman, looking to weaken her. She would keep doing so until the referee came over and told her that Jem was currently at the corner, thus having a rope break, which meant Dana had to let go of her.

Jem was thrown for a loop. It took her time to pull herself up, time that Dana used to measure her and make her way to the opposite corner. Fans clamored as The E-Girl held fast to the ropes and found her footing. She was still catching her breath when Dana came in running!

Despite outspeeding the veteran earlier, Jem couldn't find her way out of the corner in time! Dana was by ni means a slow competitor. By the time Jem brushed her own blonde hair out of her face, Ashford's feet had left the canvas mid-sprint! Dana flattened Holland against the turnbuckles with her cubby, heavyweight frame!

"Ahh!" Jem would yell out Dana made impact on her!

The force of the splash saw Jem's arms fly back and over the ropes to her left and right, hooking them as Dana chose to stay in point-blank range and grind her thicc, mature body against Jem's fit build! Fans would clap and cheer and attempt to rally behind Jem to spur her on as Dana literally ground her down in the corner! Jem grit her teeth. Her breathing was ragged. Her face reddened as her larger, more physically imposing opponent rubbed and wore her down. Gradually. Jem raised a fist in the air as she nearly disappeared under Dana's frame. She tried her best to overcome this, but the most she could do was hang in there. It was the referee that would ultimately bail her out. The striped-shirt woman would approach after several seconds of Ashford working the streamer over. She'd call for a rope break and begin a five count if Dana refused to break contact.

If and when Dana did back away from Jem, Jem would fall out of the corner on her front, pratfalling comedically onto her face at Dana's feet!

Jem's momentum had completely deflated! And yet even now, her dedicated fan base in the stands continued to stand behind her and break out into chants to try and will her back into finding some way to pull one over the former number-one contender for both the tag team and heavyweight championships in her opponent, the one and only Smiling Demon- Dana Ashford!

Dana looked at Jem who had fallen face-first onto the mat after the mature woman stepped away from her. Showing an amused smile, Dana would then bend down, grabbing Jem by her head, pulling her back up onto her feet. It was clear that Jem here had a huge following, and they wanted her to win. But, these people would have to accept the fact that their favorite would lose before the Smiling Demon.

"You're certainly an energetic one, dear." Dana told Jem, tapping the younger woman by her cheek in a manner that felt similar to a mother chiding her child. "There's no wonder these people love you. But..." Her smile remained unchanging, but from the way she tipped her head seemed to make her smile look more sinister and menacing. "I have this tendency to break what all these people love."

And so, Dana would wrap her arms around Jem's body as she would then start subjecting her to a powerful bearhug. The power of Dana Ashford was something that many would never forget soon. The sheer strength of her was enough to put out any lesser woman. Here, Jem would be tested whether she could withstand the vice-like grip of Dana's crushing bearhug or not.
