Toshiko Ito vs. Vera Sapphire

Unread post by Dubski »

Toshiko Ito vs. Vera Sapphire
Match Type: Standard Match
Rules: The winner can win by pinfall, knockout, or submission.

The arena dimmed as Toshiko Ito entered the stage while Demon by Blue Stahli played. The Japanese girl looked shredded as strobe lights shone down on the stage and she performed an elaborate dance with two war fans, before tossing them both to the side and heading down to the ring with a determined expression on her hardened face. There was something more bold about her pace to the ring. While she was always hardened and stoic, she seemed even more intense than usual. Her last match in the Apex Qualifier ended with a loss, and to say she took it well would be an understatement.

Toshiko wanted to avenge that disgrace. She wanted to take it out on whoever would be unfortunate enough to face off against her. And she wanted to unleash absolute hell. As she stomped up the steps, she stepped into the ring and began walking, giving the referee a glare as she got to her corner and held onto the top ropes, looming over it. As a heavyweight, she was always balancing the lower end of that scale. Her weight mostly came from muscles tightly wound and her tall stature, which allowed her to continue being one of the quicker heavyweights in the league, but allowed her strikes to keep being absolutely lethal.

The Twilight Edge looked even angrier than normal, and that could be seen by everyone in the crowd before she turned and sunk down into a crouching position in the corner, staring intensely at the entrance as one arm held the top rope. Ito wanted to see her prey. She wanted to know who she would face next. All Toshiko was focusing on now was the win, regardless of who it may be.

Vera's theme tune started playing as the heavyweight made her way down the entrance ramp. If Vera had any issues about her own Apex losses, the big woman did not let it show. She was still her cheery, optimistic, positive self...even though she knew she needed a win. She saw this match as one she had to absolutely win...but that didn't mean she couldn't have fun while doing it!

Vera would send the LAW fans air kisses, before entering the ring, and looking at her opponent with a smile...and sent an air kiss her way as well!

As Vera's theme calmed down, she could call out to her opponent a little: "Ready to lose to me tonight, hottie?", she would taunt.

Toshiko watched as Vera came down to the ring, bubbly and happy as she waved, pandering to the crowd. Ito was quite good at blocking the fans out, which never made her terribly popular, but it did make sure her focus was leveled on her opponent and the match at hand entirely. It was a trained focus that helped her keep her eye on what mattered: victory.

The Twilight Edge would grip the top rope tighter from her crouched position after the air kiss was blown her way, and the teasing remark came after. Over her mask, Toshiko's eyes narrowed as she abruptly stood and then began to walk towards the center of the ring and said in a bold tone, "Do not presume the outcome of this match. And do not call me that, or anything of the sort." Ito made it clear she was less about any games than usual and struck a martial arts pose, arms out and ready to take on her opponent.

Vera raised her hands in surprise. Toshiko was pretty offended by the teasing from Vera's side, confusing the Russian...though ultimately shrugging her shoulders. Her opponent wanted to fight? Fair enough...but she will win, however.

Vera stood prepared for a match, with the ref calling for the bell!

DING DING DING!

Slowly, Vera made her way to the middle of the ring, where Toshiko stood...as Vera would try and go for the first strike, trying to go for a quick jab to the Martial Artist's face!

Toshiko's words had left Vera silent and confused. For her, it didn't matter though. She had gotten her opponent to cease any sort of niceties or teasing. Ito was hardly ever in the mood for it, and least of all now with a match at hand. The Twilight Edge was ready to prove she was still a force to be reckoned with, and it started with Vera. Circling her slightly as the bell rang, Toshiko would keep her eyes locked on her foe, arms at the ready to strike.

But it was Vera who made the first move, and Toshiko Ito was laser focused on her. Immediately, Toshiko would shift to the side to avoid the jab with lightning speed, grabbing hold of the offending limb with both hands and throwing her hip into Vera. Then, she would attempt to heave her opponent up and over her in a Judo Throw, wanting to plant her directly into the mat.

With Vera expecting that the best way to approach her foe would be to try and outstrike her, Toshiko would quickly prove her wrong. Despite going for a simple jab, Toshiko would snag her arm after avoiding it, grabbing it before pressing her hips to Vera’s stomach.

Within a single second after her punch, Vera was tossed onto her back courtesy of a Judo Throw!

”MMGH!”, the Russian groaned, trying to get up to her feet before Toshiko followed up on downing her!

Toshiko Ito had went with stunning speed and prowess to send Vera up and over, making it very clear that a basic punch wouldn't be enough to take her out right now. With the Russian head over heels and landing hard on the mat, Toshiko glowered down on her, already ready to strike again. She was in it to make a statement to Vera--not just to Vera, but to everyone watching. And so the powerful striker would do just that by grabbing hold of Vera around the shoulder and bringing her right back up to her feet as started to rise.

Then, she would reel back with one arm and then send a thunderous knife-edge chop directly towards Sapphire's chest, aiming to nearly chop the soul out of her with the strike. It would be a simple move, but one that paid dividends to keep an opponent from ever feeling comfortable in the match. And there weren't many who could chop as hard as Toshiko could.

Vera would be rushed to her feet courtesy of Toshiko, as the Martial Artist forced her back up to her feet as she wound up her hand…

…before ramming it into the Russian beauty’s generous chest for a Knife Edge Chop!

”MMMMMGH!!!”, Vera groaned, a large red spot appearing in place where the side of Toshiko’s hand rammed into her! But despite almost having her soul chopped out of her…Vera remained standing!

”GRAAAAAGH!!!”, the blunette angrily let out, trying to ram her arm into her opponent’s body for a Knife Edge Chop of her own!

Toshiko's chop echoed in the crowd, the audience letting out a collective gasp at it. She stared down Vera over her mask as the girl recoiled, but it seemed like she was made of sturdy stuff. Narrowing her brow, she kept a steely gaze on Sapphire, noting she may just need to hit harder next time. If anything, the chop seemed to incense her to fight back hard, which Ito usually preferred. No time for pleasantries. No time wasting without someone at their best. She would stand there, allowing Vera to reel back and throw a knife edge chop at Toshiko.

She had braced herself, standing firmly with her feet planted. It was fortunate she wore a mask, because it meant she could hide more of how she was feeling. Vera had a strong chop. And despite the pain, Toshiko was able to maintain a very angry looking expression in her eyes, glaring directly back at Sapphire. If she wanted to test strikes against her, Toshiko would need to show her that it was fruitless. She pulled back her arm again and this time went for another knife edge chop, this time throwing her whole body into it. If it was a soul removed chop before, this one would be closer to soul destroying.

Despite the mask, Vera could tell that her rival was hurting from her angry expression. She smirked...but maybe it wasn't time to mock her rival with her body language, as the angry martial artist would approach Vera, delivering a harsh, soul shattering, breathtaking Chop to her chest!

"GUUUUUAAAAAAGH!!!"

The chop would knock the Russian off her feet, as she hissed in pain, trying to breathe...but the attack forced all the air out of her body!
