Long time no see!

A long time ago, Lucas Andersen made a promise to himself. A promise that came as a result of his high school days. The Dane had moved to the States and found it hard to adjust to life at the beginning. He was a bit of an introvert and he did not have too many friends. Considered more of a nerd and a book work, many of the other people in his class bully or make fun him but he would not let it get too his head too much. He did remember a girl though, a beautiful blonde girl by the name of Belinda who he had a huge crush on! She was the tomboy of the school, very athletic, into sports and was the opposite of Lucas but still he liked her. The two used to talk here and there but nothing apart from that. He started to get into sports, trying to be around her but found it hard with most of the kids bullying him physically. However, he did not get give up and continued to train harder and get stronger. He wanted to impress Belinda! He heard that she became a wrestler and so he trained to become one too.

Fast forward to today, he had signed to LAW after years of training and he felt he was ready. It took a lot of courage to actually get in contact with the blonde, let alone ask her out to a cup of coffee to meet him. He wanted to catch up, let her know of his plan and maybe even more!

He arrived at the cafe, looking and smelling his best because he wanted to really leave a good impression on Belinda. He arrived there first, not wanting to be late to their first meeting in quite a while, he would enter the cafe and pick a nice quiet spot for the two. While waiting he would take a nice look at the menu, scanning for anything interesting on it while also looking at the selection of coffees.

He sighed, not sure what he would say to her.

It had been quite a long time since Belinda last saw Lucas. They had a brief friendship in Highschool, though she had lost contact with a lot of people when she suddenly moved to Japan, sort of out of the blue. Though that didn't bug her a lot, she had met new people and found new friends. Besides, the close ones she still kept pretty good contact with. Even if they were several hours of time difference between them. She hadn't kept that close of contact with Lucas, so she was a bit surprised when she got contacted by him. Apparently he was in Japan and he wanted to meet up? Belinda didn't really have anything to do today other than train/workout so she figured why not.

Having spent her morning at the gym, the blonde had showered and cleaned herself up after her workout and then gone to see her old highschool friend. She joined him a few minutes after he had gotten to the café. Stepping in through the doors and scanning around until she found a frame that looked....somewhat like Lucas? If it was him he had certainly buffed up a bit.

Well, Better to throw yourself right into the deep end. Belinda thought to herself as she would step up and say. " Hey Lucas! Long time no see, how you been?" If it wasn't Lucas she would of course be embarrassed to all hell, but it was better than awkwardly waiting for him to notice her.

She might have had taken some time to recognize him but Lucas had immediately spotted her when she made her way inside the cafe. He looked down on the table and blushed, looking to hide it from the blonde before she made her way to the table for their greeting. It had been so long since the two had met and no doubt a lot had changed but his feelings for her were perhaps the same. He would look up when he heard her call his name out and would smile innocently before getting up from his chair to greet her.

"Oh hey Belinda! I am doing well. Thanks for coming, I am doing well how about you?" he would say. After that, the two would sit down and order some nice confectionary and tea to have a nice time catching up on old times. The more they talked, the more Lucas was reminded of the good times and how much he had liked Belinda back in high school but never really had the courage to ask her out or anything like that.

The two went their own way after high school and after many years did they finally catch up. Lucas did have a surprise for her, he wanted to tell her that he was going to join LAW but he wanted something more to tell her than just that. "Well it's been great catching up! Um well...I actually...wanted to tell you this for a long time but I...uh...I always did like-like you and well...if you are free maybe uh...we could go out on a date or something like that this weekend?" he asked with his cheeks bright red, not knowing that the blonde was already in a relationship and about her sexual preferences.

Greeting Lucas was nice, although a bit awkward. It seemed as if he was rather nervous so she wouldn't poke fun at him or anything. Instead she'd give him a friendly smile as she took her seat. " Ah, I'm doing alright. Trudging along in the wrestling business and all that Jazz. Totally fine." Belinda let out as s he laughed a bit. After which they ordered some tea and confectionery, She would continue this amicable conversation with her old school friend,. Though after a little while it seemed as Lucas wanted to move on from the normal pleasantries and catching up.

Belinda would listen to what Lucas had to say, she kept quite as she let him say his piece and lay his feelings on the table. She let the situation linger a couple of seconds after he was done. Taking a deep breathe, she would finally speak out. " Hey, look. Lucas. I'm gonna have to be straight with you here. After all you're a friend and you deserve that." Belinda tried to prepare him for the situation. " I'm already seeing someone, and well. I don't know, it's kind of serious with her, I think? I'm not sure. Yeah, uhm that too. I'm kinda, you know." Belinda trailed off a bit, " into girls."

The conversation seemed to be going quite well. Lucas expected this to be getting even better because he did his best to keep up with the events of LAW and Belinda's personal life without being considered a 'stalker' and he was not aware of the fact that she was seeing anyone. Sure, he had seen her wrestle alot of opponents and in some really steamy and semi-lewd matches but nothing that alluded to the idea that she was into females or that she was actually seeing someone. Regardless of what her situation was, in Luca's mind there was only one thing that mattered and that he was....turned down.

After what he had to say, what he had kept to himself for years, he finally had the courage of letting it all out and for that he got rejection. His heart was racing and for a moment he didn't know what to say, his facial expression was that of an embarrassed and picked teenager for a few seconds but suddenly he took a deep breath and tried to crack a smile while grabbing his cup of tea, hands shaking while he did, picking it up to take a sip.

"Oh...right. I...uh, I'm so sorry. I didn't...I didn't know" he would say looking down to the tea to try and avoid eye contact. He would cough and clear his throat. "Anyways, look at the time....I uh, I have to be somewhere soon actually. I have to go down at LAW HQ and sign some paperwork for some stuff. Maybe we can catch up more over there?" he suggested, in reality he wanted to get out of this place ASAP to avoid further embarrassing himself.

Belinda couldn't help but feel a bit bad. She didn't really think a situation like this would appear, she didn't really think that Lucas had any feeling for her. It had been so long that she pretty much saw him mostly as a friend, so it was rather difficult to think of him in any other way? She would take a deep breath herself. Seeing how his hand was shaking and that he was avoiding eye contact with her.

" Yeah...I mean, I haven't really kept it hidden but you know, I'm not exactly advertising it." Belinda let out as she would look at him, trying to see if he would at least look at her. Though it seemed as if he wanted to get away from this situation as soon as possible. She'd clear her throat, " Hey. It's okay." Belinda would let out, before she'd shake her head. " Yeah, I'll meet you a bit later then?" Belinda let out as she would refrain from trying to talk him out of things right. She figured none of this could really be easy for him, and sometimes you just needed a moment to clear your head, especially if one had recently been all emotional. She would meet up with Lucas in a little while, that would probably be for the best.

He was not quite sure how to react but he really did feel quite embarrassed. He came here with high hopes, to finally be able to say the things he could not say about how he felt about her all those years ago. However, when he did muster the courage of saying how he truly felt about her, those feelings were shut down in an instant and that he would have never stood a chance because of her preference of women. To Belinda's credit, she did feel bad about this all and tried to rectify the situation by trying to give him consolation of the fact but Lucas was not really looking to hear to reason.

He wanted to get out of there quickly to avoid any further embarrassment and drop their meet-up short. He would at least be a gentlemen about it, paying the tab before quickly leaving. In his heart, he felt really stupid and was frustrated. Maybe he should have seen this coming? But somehow he figured he had a shot. What was left for him? The whole reason he came to LAW was to be with her, to show her how he had changed. However, that reason was gone and with it was there any reason left for him to stay?

Perhaps there was, because if if he could not have what he wanted then nobody else could. His motive would now change, he was going to take Belinda out and then the person who ended his shot with her out of spite. Rushing back at the LAW HQ, he would finish his signing and paperwork. It was now official, he was a LAW wrestler.

His main objective was clear now.

Belinda had let Lucas head off, she figured he needed some time for himself and to figure things out. Though she was a bit surprised when he had said he needed to go to the LAW HQ, she figured maybe he had already signed up and now decided to resign or perhaps he had intended to sign up? She didn't know, though she didn't believe he had any intention of causing problems for her. Since the time she had known him, he'd been a pretty good kid.

The blonde decided to take a walk after her meeting with Lucas had ended. Spending the time to try and clear her head and ease the tension and unease that the confession had brought her. She'd been walking for a little over an hour...when she got a text. It was Lucas. Checking the message, it seemed as if he wanted her to come to the LAW offices. She was surprised that he contacted her this soon, but that actually made her feel a bit relieved.

Heading over to the LAW office, she would make her through the building and going to meet Lucas once more. Looking around for a sign of him, she would ask around, giving a description of him. She was soon enough directed towards where he had last been seen. Belinda approached him and waved towards him with her right hand.

"Hey Lucas. What's up? Why'd you want me to come down here?"

He had a lot of time to think about the most recent developments, in truth the contract signing was not due until tomorrow but the Dane had to simply escape that awkward situation. After all these years, he had the courage to let his feelings known to Belinda but all for naught. He figured that wrestling would be the factor that would bring them close, if he could be the best than it would certainly be the catalyst to win her feelings but that was not to be because she had made her intentions known to him quite clearly.

So what remains of him? He joined LAW for Belinda, to impress her. With that objective now becoming impossible, was there any reason to stay and sign. No, Lucas had in fact called management to let them know that perhaps this was a mistake, that he was now re-considering his decision to join because he had not yet signed the contract. That was the real reason he wanted to meet them early. All that remained now was to let Belinda know of his choice.

It had a little over an hour and the two met each other again at LAW HQ. "Ah hey, thanks for coming down. I wanted to let you know that I will not be joining LAW after all...." he said with a heavy sigh. "The truth was I only came here because I wanted to impress you, to win you over." he said, leaning against the wall, passing his hand through his hair. "Plus, I don't think its a good idea for us to be in the same wrestling federation while I still have feelings for you while you are dating someone else. I just don't think I can bear that" he said moving away from the wall approaching her until they were face to face.

"The fact is, LAW can only have either me or you. I may not be a LAW wrestler but I still challenge you, Belinda, the woman I love- to an I Quit match. The loser will leave LAW......." he said.

Belinda would approach Lucas and watch his mannerisms, trying to gauge what she could expect from the white haired boy. She would tilt her head and wait to see what he had to say, as she was finding him rather difficult to read at the moment. She waited and looked as Lucas began to speak. It was a bit of a shame that he wouldn't join, after all they were friends back in the day and Belinda had hoped that them being friends wouldn't change after what had just happened...

That didn't seem to the be the case though. Belinda would take a moment to process what Lucas had thrown at her, she wasn't sure how to respond at first. Though him not joining LAW was then flipped over, as he then challenged her to an I quit match. One where the loser would leave LAW. Something which caused her to take a step back, literally taken aback by the challenge.

The Swedish-American would then shake her head. " Okay...but I don't understand Lucas. You're telling me you aren't gonna join law. Then you challenge me to a match? Do you not want me around that much?" Belinda would clear her throat, and in the process try to force a clearing of her thoughts. "So the winner sticks around as a wrestler of LAW then, and the loser leaves?" Belinda would try to clarify things with Lucas. " I can't say I really want to do that, but if that's what you want then...I guess I'll give you that at least."
