First day at work

Sophia put her thumb, middle and fore finger together then shook her hand twice. "Bragging rights." She said before starting to load up the weights. "Thanks, she works hard on herself, always did. I'm sure she would love to meet either of them, big inspirations both as far as the wrestling goes, and hey, when she graduates she will be competing in the same category as Tina so they are bound to meet at some point."

"Nice and slow, you got this... Yeah, just like that, push, push... Good." She continued to encourage Dan as he went before patting him on the back and finding another empty station. "I think I can handle 400 on a deadlift." She said pointing to it and making her way there.

Dan was breathing heavy after that rep and the thought of this womans daughter and Tina facing off with something on the line seemed like an awesome prospect. Dan talked to Tina and knew she was in a bit of a rut although she was digging her way out. For a while the brass used her like a measuring stick or stepping stone for others looking to climb the ranks. Alaina right now was gearing up for her triple threat title match and Dan hoped his aunt pulled through even if a lot of people were writing her off as the underdog of the three women because of her age and mileage.... Alaina at 47 had wrestled more matches in LAW than any other woman since she joined in 2017.

"All right Sophia you got this!" Dan said as the two were racking the weights. "Aunt Alaina has just been around so long you know? She probably knows a few things that can help your daughter out and she could probably help you out if you wanted to really step into the ring for any matches." Dan said as the weights were set and he moved into spotter position.

Sophia bent down and grabbed a hold of the bar, making sure her posture and grip were correct before tensing her entire body and lifting up. On this particular movement, there was less of a struggle as she lifted and set the weight back down, it still looked far from easy but overall more smooth than her prior attempts. She then straightened her back and clapped her hands a few times. "Ok, I expected that to be harder... though I don't think I can really lift that much more maybe 10 pounds." She commented and stepped to the side. "I'm sure Kate would love to train with either of them, they both have a lot of experience after all. She did a lot of martial arts training and even made a good showing in some MMA events but Wrestling seems like a different beast. So if you think they'd find time, it would be great." She said before pointing to the bar. "Ok big guy, how much are we loading this time?"

Dan looked at the bar and decided to go for broke. "Same as the squat. This is gonna be tough....." Dan said wiping sweat from his brow. He set the weight in and gripped the bar. He was breathing slow for a moment before grabbing the bar. Dan jolted up, initially looking like he couldn't do it but the lift was slow before he grunted, shaking and standing upright pulling it off before dropping the weight back to the ground! "Okay...... yep that was fun." Dan said standing up and stumbling back a step.

"Whew.... ok so I think we got your personal bests which are impressive down, excellent work Sophia." Dan said logging everything while sending a text to Alaina and Irelia telling them his numbers with a little jokingly competitive 'beat that ladies' at the end of his message.

Dan looked back up at Sophia and looked at the practice ring. "We can do whatever ya like next and if you do want to step in that ring we can, I actually have my wrestling gear here since I was gonna be doing some in-ring work with a few clients today. You put up some impressive numbers so far and I bet you hold your own real well in the ring. You must keep that spouse or significant other in line if they know what is good for them." Dan said with a wink.

"I actually don't have anyone at the moment..." Sophia said with a slightly awkward smile, she didn't expect the conversation to touch on that and she didn't really like talking about that, her husband was gone for a few years now but thinking about it still stung a little. "A spar sounds nice though, I'm still new to the style though so let's keep it light, no need to suplex each other through the ring floor." She picked back up in a more chipper tone as she walked to the ring, looking back at Dan to see if he would follow.

"I ah, whoops. Sorry about that." Dan said realizing his attempt to be funny had entirely failed flat. As Sophia made her way towards the ring he followed. "I can wrestle you in my workout clothes of throw on my wrestling attire I have it in the locker room, whatever your preference is." Dan said as they approached the ring. "Do you have any wrestling outfit or are you gonna spar in the gym clothes?" Dan asked. If she needed time to change he would change himself. If not and she wanted to spar right now he would not waste the time to change.

"Don't worry, you couldn't have known." She said with a smile, it was an honest mistake after all and the thought itself was rather flattering. "I don't have a particular attire so I'd say we just wrestle like this" Switching right back to the matter at hand she slid between the ropes and went to the far side of it. There she would pull and push at the ropes, remembering seeing them used by wrestlers before to start moves. "That's going to be a new experience, I'm used to these being stiffer." She commented, moving to the corner, hand running along the rope where she'd stand facing Dan. "Ready when you are."

Dan kept his shorts on but took his shirt off. Part of him couldn't help but show off a tiny bit, he had to keep himself in top shape to be what he considered the gold standard he wanted to be for Irelia. Dan cleared his throat and did his best ring announcer voice. "Standing 5'10'' weighing in at 227 pounds from San Diego California... LAWs best looking male trainer.... Danny Haines!" Dan said acting like her was flexing and posing for the crowd but very obviously joking and hamming it up.

"Do ya want me to make an announcement for ya or do you want to do it?" Dan said with a laugh.

When Dan threw off his shirt, Sophia couldn't help but give him an appreciative look, he might be a taken man but still made for a pleasant sight. Then came the announcement and she couldn't help but laugh, that certainly caught her ad guard and she needed a moment to catch her breath again.

"I could do mine but I kinda want to see what you come up with. So give it your best shot, just so you know, I'm from Illinois." She said still trying to get her composure back and cocking her head, very curious as to how would Dan announce her.

Dan shrugged and decided he would try his best. "And making her way to the ring standing at.... taller than me and weighing in at about....hmmmm, this is gonna be tough.... 170 pounds the new trainer who defies the clock looking younger than she is leaving us all looking forward to seeing her in wrestling attire in a calendar someday, from maybe Chicago Illinois the sensational sexy slammer Sophia!" Dan announced as he tried to mimic the sounds of fans cheering for her.
