Antonia the "Oscar"-Worthy Trainer

To her initial disappointment, Oscar was quick to lift Antonia off from her inadvertent facesit. But the Young Lion ended up using his now free lips to compliment his trainer! "Of course. You'll find that everything I do is nice." Antonia stated, appreciating the compliment, but failing to take it with a shred of humility. Oscar then specified that he liked her laugh, causing the general to smile. Though her expression became more puzzled, when the male wrestler asked if she was alright.

"Hmmph. Of course I'm fine." Antonia remarked, getting onto her feet. "Your initial assumption was accurate. Any wrestler worth their salt displays a constant aura of toughness. And I'm among the saltiest...I mean toughest middleweights in this profession. I would ask you if you are okay. But your determined disposition hasn't shown any sign of faltering, despite how much I've put you through the winger."

Antonia walked to the center of the ring. "On the subject, now the time has come for me to come at you. For your final test for today, you must successfully counter one of my attacks, by grabbing and throwing me. Though I don't plan on making it easy of course. Are you prepared to continue?"

"Hehe. Salty also kinda fits the description too"

Oscar muttered to himself with a sly grin as he got back onto his feet. He was growing more fond of Antonia as a friend, true, but that didn't mean he was blind to the more... complicated side of her personality like her ego. Still- a skilled teacher is still a skilled teacher, and the young lion figured he could happily deal with Antonia's rough edges if it meant he could learn from a rising star. Hearing that he was to face his final test for today, Oscar nodded along to the instructions and took up a position at the center of the ring.

"Alright... I like the sound of that! After all you did with me today I'd be seriously disappointed if you suddenly decided to take it easy. I'm ready, General Aunt! Whenever you are!"

The Barbarian Prince planted his feet evenly and kept his eyes ready as all of his attention was tuned onto Antonia. He was totally focused on the instructor- doing his best to be ready for what she might unleash at him!

Antonia was also becoming fond of Oscar. Choosing the ant among all the Young Lion/Lioness trainers had already gotten the male on Ms. Aunt's good side. Furthermore, the general liked that her solider had arrived at the gym early and seemed to be determined to pass every test Antonia threw at him, regardless of how challenging and intense it was. And Armie was glad to hear her trainee didn't desire for her to drop the intensity an inch! Now the stage was set for Oscar's final test!

"Excellent. Very well..." The blonde bug responded.

The army ant suddenly came right at Oscar and raised her knee. It appeared she was going for a knee strike to Oscar's gut. But this was a feint. In reality, Antonia would spin around and aim a swift karate chop at the back of his neck. She'd be careful not to knock Oscar out with the move, aiming for a spot that would not disrupt his nervous system to that point. Though if the strike landed, it would likely still shake the Young Lion up quite a bit. As Antonia felt she might as well introduce Oscar to feints, within this final test!

Oscar tightened his arms as Antonia bolted right for him. His focus turned down to the ant's knee as he predicted a knee strike to fly his way... unfortunately for him, Antonia's feint would do its job to the fullest. Oscar hadn't expected the ant to use something she hadn't reviewed with him as part of the final test, so he was visibly surprised as Antonia spun around and chopped the back of his neck! The impact made goosebumps on Oscar's skin and sent a jolt down his spine, earning a sharp gasp as he stumbled forward and instinctively clutched the back of his neck in shock! From Antonia's point of view, it looked like Oscar's whole body was shivering from the impact... but he whipped back around to stare down the instructor with an intense gaze. Was the Barbarian Prince angry from being outmaneuvered? No, not at all. If Antonia could tell, the gaze was forming because the rookie heavyweight seemed to understand just how serious this final test was going to be...

Antonia's feint was successful. She faked out Oscar with an apparent knee strike, before nailing him hard with a swift chop in the back of the neck. The strike caused Oscar to stagger forward, though impressively, he remained on his feet. Fighting through the shock, Oscar turned around to eye his trainer with a sharp, focused expression.

"If I could train an unconscious student, that knife-hand would've rendered you as such." Antonia bragged. "Even so, I'm impressed you remain standing. Feints are always something to look out for, especially when dealing with strikers. Now then..."

The General of the Anthill would come at the Barbarian Prince again, this time by going down for a leg sweep. Regardless, if whether Oscar avoided it or not, the blonde would spring back up to attempt to uppercut Oscar under the chin. Both strikes would come with great speed and force!

Oscar steeled himself as Antonia rushed towards him again- being much more prepared as the instructor swung her leg around for a leg sweep. Oscar would respond by quickly lifting his leg to avoid the sweep and with precious few seconds to react to the uppercut flying his way, would bring his hands together to try and catch Antonia's fist with his palms! If he was successful, the Barbarian Prince would attempt to close his hands around the general's fist and with precious few seconds to react- would try to position himself around Antonia to force her arm behind her back and lock in a hammerlock hold!

Now being more prepared for Antonia's offense, the Barbarian Prince managed to dodge the general's leg sweep, before catching the follow-up uppercut as well! "Nyah?" The ant girl puzzled, a tad surprised he had effectively responded to both strikes. And with the Young Lion's hands around the middleweight's fist, he was able to transition into a hammerlock hold! "Not bad..." But of course the blonde wouldn't make it easy for Oscar to try and throw her. Using her free arm, Antonia would aim to send a skull-rattling elbow strike at Oscar's temple. And if the blow to the head connected, the insect would proceed to throw a jumping knee strike at her pupil's chest, intending to make the male wrestler stumble back! "Hiiyah!"

Right before Oscar was going to transition his hammerlock hold into a suplex, the young lion felt his vision blur for a moment as Antonia smashed her elbow into his temple! With a cry of pain, Oscar let go of the instructor and was left vulnerable to the knee strike dealt by the ant general. Things were looking rough for the Barbarian Prince as he stumbled backward, even Oscar knew that. The intensity of the training in general had taken a great toll on Oscar's body- leaving him thoroughly battered, bruised, and sweaty. However, be it through sheer determination or stubbornness, Oscar showed little sign of letting a setback here happen as he demonstrated how he paid attention to Antonia's talk about momentum as he backpedaled harder than he should after the strike. It was more than just stumbling after a big hit- Oscar was using the impact to move back toward the ropes, rebound, mix it all together charge back to Antonia!

Preventing Oscar from preforming a follow-up throw, Antonia nailed his head with an elbow strike. And with the Young Lion stunned from the blow, she was able to follow things up with quite a powerful knee strike! Oscar of course would stumble away. But the blonde raised an eyebrow, as Oscar seemed to get knocked back farther than she had calculated. Soon Ant realized he was purposefully using the momentum from the middleweight's strike, as he backpedaled quickly to the ropes behind him. He built up even more momentum by leaning into the ropes, before firing back at Antonia! "Very resourceful." Armie complimented, happy to see Oscar learning from her pervious lessons. The general would then go off to the side, to avoid Oscar's charge. Now behind Oscar, she'd attempt to kick behind both of his knees, with the intent to have him fall onto his knees. If successful, she'd then send a roundhouse at the back of Oscar's skull!

Oscar counted on Antonia dodging so he could hit the ropes again, but he didn't count on the ant general to land an attack of her own on his legs! The young lion fell forward and crashed onto the canvas with an "OOF". Oscar was far from vulnerable though, noticing how much the ant general liked to deliver attacks when his back was turned- especially to the back of his head! Glancing back to see a nasty-looking roundhouse kick flying his way, Oscar would raise a hand to make an attempt to try and catch the kick. If it worked, then Oscar would try once again to counter by twisting Antonia's leg and make her fall to the ground before pushing himself up and attempting to lock in a mean single-legged Boston crab.

If Oscar wasn't able to catch the kick in time, the Barbarian Prince was surely going to take a nice trip to snoozevile...
