Ryuko vs. Mary: Apex Qualifier

Mary was turing into more trouble than she was worth. Ryuko's legs were hurting but she was recovering as quickly as she could. Mary was already up and moving so Ryuko knew she had to be quick. The thunder empress was being out-hustled by a teacher who wrestled part time at best. She was embarrassed by her own showing against Mary thus far. She had to adjust.

Ryuko was getting back to her feet when she saw Mary on the second rope. As Mary jumped Ryuko stepped in moving close to Mary's body to grab hold of it and avoid having the flying clasped fists smashing her skull. Ryuko lift and spun trying to turn the double axe handle attempt into a catch and powerslam against the mat!

Mary was pretty sure she could hit a axe handle from above, but Ryuko has other plans. At first, Mary headed straight for Ryuko and the former Wrestle Angels competitor didn’t seem to flinch or want to duck out of the way. However, it became clear Ryuko had a reversal on her mind. She caught Mary out of mid-air and hit a Powerslam on the mat slamming the teacher on her back! Mary screamed in pain as she huddled into a ball on the mat screaming in agony and held her aching back.

Mary went down and her back seemed to ache so the thunder empress would focus on that....

"Ok part-timer... time to show you the difference between wannabes and real wrestlers!" Ryuko shouted as she stomped down on Mary's abdomen three times before lifting her up and hefting her overhead across her shoulders. Ryuko thought about a samoan drop but decided on something different. the thunder empress of the ring was stretching Mary out as she was over Ryuko's shoulders using a torture rack to really work over that pained mid-section of Mary! Ryuko wasn't holding back, going all in and trying to make Mary tap out with this hold!

Mary would get stretched out in the torture rack and true to it’s name, Mary was feeling the effects on her back. Her older age made her back more prone to being accidentally broken and she couldn’t bear much pain back there. The referee asked Mary if this was it for her standing beside both wrestlers and Mary gritted her teeth trying to keep herself in the match. However, she tapped out shortly after on Ryuko’s right bicep indicating this was all she could take! The referee called for the bell and told Ryuko to release Mary.

“Ladies and gentlemen, your winner as a result of submission, Thunder Ryuko!”

Ryuko dropped Mary as soon as the bell rang, standing in the middle of the ring with her arm raised up. She stood and nodded to the crowd before looking down to Mary and shaking her head. "You need to be all-in for wrestling. None of this part time or side hustle wrestling." Ryuko said before walking towards the ropes to leave the ring. She was confident she made her statement and hoped that Mary had listened to what she said. Ryuko was going to Apex, and she was going to make another statement there in her bid to be the inaugural open weight champion.

Ryuko would let go and Mary held her back in grueling pain suffering her first loss since signing with LAW. It wasn’t exactly how she wanted to go out and it seems Ryuko wasn’t impressed with the science teacher as well. She just referred to her as nothing more than a part-timer and said she needed to be fully focused on wrestling in order to make it into the industry further. Mary just sat there with the referee checking in on her and making sure she wasn’t hurt. This seemed to be the beginning of Mary’s troubles here and she needed to find a way to make Ryuko see things differently.
