Alaina was chatting up Jack when an older gentleman approached. He looked familiar to the veteran, so she gave him a smile and nod as he walked up for a handshake. Alaina grasped it and shook. "Oh hey there! Its nice to meet you too. I think I have seen some of your matches, quite impressive work." Alaina said. She knew she had seen some of it and the guy could hold his own probably still.
"I am flattered that ya kept track of my career too, thank you." Alaina added as Charlie was herding the kids along. "So how is it that you know the bride and groom?" Alaina asked, figuring it was all professional connections among wrestlers but still curious exactly how he fit in. She was also hoping to corner Lars Ostberg at some point, the two had quite a history during Alaina's wrestling days in Europe that she thought would be fun to touch upon again.

Re: The Official Ostberg-Ashworth Wedding (Open Thread)
Lars's smile grew a little wider as he came up to Harmonia, and as the Austrian introduced herself. "Oh, believe me, I should know a thing or two about that!" he said. "I've seen some of your matches, and I can see a lot of potential in you two. You definitely have that spirit. I bet if you were around in our glory days, you'd be big stars..."
Molly was practically bursting with excitement to hear that, and she turned back around to face her girlfriend with a big grin on her face. "You hear that, Moni!?~" Lars chuckled at her enthusiasm - but soon, Harmonia would greet Astrid, and the Norsewoman grinned wide, pulling her into a tight hug. A hug that would likely be a little tighter than Harmonia was used to, thanks to Astrid's strength and her propensity for bear hugs - though she didn't seem too concerned with that. Sometimes, Astrid didn't know her own strength. "Ahh!! Harmonia!"
Setting Harmonia down, Astrid nodded her head, her smile growing even wider. "Thank you very much! I know you two have been making waves, so it's about time I got to meet you. Hearing your encouragement means a lot. And I should wish the two of you luck as well!" she added, leaning in and winking to Harmonia as she placed a hand on her shoulder - after all, she knew that the Superstars had big plans of their own.
When Hank arrived, every head turned toward his car. For many present, he was an old friend - and for the rest, it was hard not to be drawn to his flashy display. When he announced how much he had spent on his suit to Jonathan, Brianna practically spat the hot chocolate she had picked up to drink. "T-That's like, half of what we paid to get here!"
But the veteran went on undeterred, greeting his fellow old hands in the business in Lars and Hans. "You know how much I owe you for getting me back into the business, Hank," Lars explained as he hugged him back. "It's a pleasure to have you here tonight." Hans nodded to him too. "You know, speaking of Marne, she should be getting here soon, I think."
Molly was just as happy to meet Hank, nodding her head as she pulled her girlfriend closer. "Yeah, that's us! Moni's, uh...well, where do I start? She's the best person I've ever met, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere but by her side on a day like today..." She chuckled. "Sorry, too corny?"
All the while, Lars turned back to where Hank and Alaina introduced each other. At the sight of the Amazon, he smirked. He had fond memories of wrestling both against and alongside Alaina, and he was sure they had plenty they could get caught up on.

Re: The Official Ostberg-Ashworth Wedding (Open Thread)
Hank nodded over to Lars as the fellow veteran praised Hank for helping him get back to the ring back in 2016 when Lars and Hans made their comeback announcement after they retired in 2009 and 2007 respectively. Even though Hans usually never got back in the ring aside from tag team matches with his brother or multi-man tag team matches across countries, Lars has kept the legacy alive and kept wrestling in Norway, Germany, Britain, The Netherlands, and even doing part-time appearances in America, Mexico, and Japan. William was briefly reminded of Lars mentioning his commitment to stop wrestling once he hit 70 and he was glad that the legend could enjoy his last few years in the sport. Lars practically owed his passion to his deceased father, Ole Ostberg, as he and Hans trained under him despite Ole having to cut his career short due to a devastating ankle injury. In 1985, Hans and Lars stormed the tag team scene and wracked up gold making their names known in the major territories over the years.
“You’re a good guy, Lars. You missed being able to get out there and show the world what you learned from your daddy. Even if you aren’t that young anymore, you never let go of what made you happy. Now, Astrid gets to continue that legacy and if she has kids of her own, they’ll continue it as well,” Hank explained to his old friend.
Hank heard Harmonia praise him for the chances he has given her and Molly and he made a mental note to conduct business with the former model after celebrations. Hank then heard Alania mention seeing a few of his earlier matches.
“Those times weren’t anything special. Just starting out and then I got into the big leagues. Doctors weren’t even sure if I could walk again after I got medically discharged from Vietnam. I’m not just a veteran in the ring, but I served in the U.S. Army. I got drafted after Congress declared war against the communists in Vietnam and I got transferred down to Alabama before flying overseas to fight. I spent three months battling the nature of the jungle we were in and then a well-placed shot in my leg got me sent back. I went to college and eventually got into wrestling, but I went to the Middle East to aid fallen soldiers from their injuries. I’m well-traveled as you can tell,” Hank explained to the amazon veteran wrestler.
Hank was then asked how he knew about William and Astrid as he chuckled before looking at Alania again.
“Astrid, I knew her father back when I started wrestling and Hans and himself jumped to where I worked. I had some battles with them and we became good friends. I even helped him market himself to wrestle in the indies when he came out of retirement. Will, I knew of his career back when I watched his earlier matches and he was a prospect I signed on to USPW. I’m one of his groomsmen for the evening,” Hank further explained.
The doors to the chapel opened as a French waiter came out and saw all the guests arriving as he clapped his hands to get their attention.
“I apologize for disturbing pleasantries, but you all must come inside. I’m sure other guests are on the way, but it’s rather too cold outside for you all. Dinner is served while we wait,” The waiter announced as he headed back inside to make sure his staff set things up properly.
Kennedy smirked returning the kiss to Finella’s soft and hungry lips as they took a moment for each other.
“I know something you could eat in the women’s restroom. It’s between my legs if you wanted a hint,” Kennedy cooed with a sexual tease.

Re: The Official Ostberg-Ashworth Wedding (Open Thread)
Alaina nodded intently as she listened to Hank, not knowing he had done all that. "Wow, that is amazing! Also I know Vietnam was... ah, something to say the least. My uncle was there too." Alaina added. She knew that there were a lot of unsaid things that went along with what he was saying, and hoped that he understood that without her having to be what her uncle called a dumb civilian friend who asked way too many questions.
"I imagine you wrestled alongside quite a list of impressive ladies at the time. I looooove Wendi Richter, I would enjoy meeting her ya know? Maybe you can tell me some stories about the women of the 70s or 80s I missed out on and..."
The group was ushered inside and Alaina gathered up the family hoping to catch up with Hank. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Lars too, smiling and waving to him. She would for sure make it a point to go talk to the father of the bride later.

Re: The Official Ostberg-Ashworth Wedding (Open Thread)
The smile on Lars's face grew a little wider as he listened to all Hank had to say, nodding his head to each word. He looked off wistfully into the distance as he thought back on the Ostberg legacy - all he had learned from his father, all he had passed on to Astrid when he saw she was finally ready to prove herself, and how Astrid was already inspiring the wrestlers of tomorrow through her efforts in the Young Lioness Program and becoming an icon in the right. "To think," he explained, "There's been an Ostberg active in the wrestling world for close to a century now, and with Astrid achieving such heights as she is when she's still so young...doesn't seem so far-fetched to think we might hit the big 100, does it? Especially if she has kids," he added with a chuckle as Hank mentioned that last part.
Astrid, as it so happened, was standing close enough to Lars that she could overhear his conversation with Hank, and when that topic came up, a blush spread across her face as she took a step closer to William. "Ah, er..." she began, "Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Dad. It's still early for that sort of talk..." Yet, she still looked back over her shoulder at her soon-to-be-husband, and her expression began to soften into a smile when she met his eyes.
Sheila, on the other hand, was less subtle about things. She let out a gasp as soon as she'd heard the suggestion, clapping her hands to her mouth. "WHAT!? Astrid's having a baby!? Ooh, ooh! Can I be the aunt?" she cheered, hopping up and down - and only making Astrid blush even harder. "Shh!!" she cut in.
It came as a relief to the Norsewoman when the waiter stepped out to beckon the guests inside. And, as soon as everyone entered the cathedral, they were greeted by an interior just as lavishly decorated as the outside - breaking with the traditional white decor, the walls were strung in red and green ribbons and wreaths, harkening to the Christmas spirit, and candles stood aglow all up and down the aisle to provide the room with a warm light. "Ah-!" Astrid said, taking a look around. "Who was in charge of decorating? Whoever it was...they know my style."

Re: The Official Ostberg-Ashworth Wedding (Open Thread)
Everyone would soon be seated by each other at the table as Jonathan, Brianna, Astrid, William, Ryan, Jack, John, Oscar, Daniel, George, Chelsea, Sheila, Kennedy, Harmonia, Finella, Molly, Chris, Alania and her family, Hank, Mina, William’s family, Lars, Astrid’s mother, and Hans gathered around the dinner table in order to dig into Christmas turkey, biscuits, mashed potatoes, sugar cookies, ribs, hot dogs, eggnog, and sparkling water. It was quality time together spent for the holiday season and then it would come to the actual ceremony. There would be desserts to be had around the reception like the wedding cake which would be served by Mina and photos to be taken of everyone dressed up.
Most of the guys would wear black tuxedos and William would wear a nice maroon suit with a white tie tucked in with a purple dress shirt underneath. He also wore maroon dress pants and black dress shoes as he adjusted himself in the mirror confident that this ceremony would go well. The groomsmen would all line up at the door into the altar with their bridesmaids or partner they were escorting in. The lineup looked something like this:
William and his mother
Hans and Astrid’s mother
Jonathan and Brianna
George and Chelsea
Harmonia and Molly
Finella and Kennedy
Alania and Charlie
Alania’s kids
Hank and Sheila
Oscar and Daniel
Ryan, Chris, and Mina
Jack and John
Lars would be the last one in escorting Astrid to the altar and the priest marrying both William and Astrid would take things from there. The organ would start up as the line would slowly approach the open doorway leading into the ceremony hall.

Re: The Official Ostberg-Ashworth Wedding (Open Thread)
This night turned out quieter than expected, at least outside of Mina fixating on every individual detail. No assaults due to her guarding the wedding cake. No idiots to correct the food's pronunciation. She spent day and night researching into German cuisine, even if the guests were comfortable with familiar treats on Christmas. For example, Hochzeitssuppe the Wedding soup, a chicken broth surrounding chicken meat, asparagus tips, currants and egg noodles topped with Eierstich (a soup ingredient that combines eggs, butter, nutmeg and herbs mixed with milk). Tafelspitz, a piece of aged ox boiled until tender in vegetable broth, surrounded by potatoes and hot apples.
Desserts of Mina's design including her piece de resistance would await after the fated union .
"Cmon! We can't wait until next Christmas, I need to get the anniversary plan fixed up and fight 4 more girls!" The only thing that prevented the caterer from bursting immediately was the groomsmen she locked her arms around, now blending among the guests through wearing a teal and magenta dress topped by a yellow bow. "At least I won't die of frostbite with you boys around..." A small bright side to being near back of the line.

Re: The Official Ostberg-Ashworth Wedding (Open Thread)
Harmonia was walking next to Molly as they entered the ceremony hall. "Say, are'nt they look beautiful?",she whispered to her girlfriend.
She sniffled a little and took out a handkerchief to stop any tears from ruining her expensive make up.
"Sorry, its just...weddings always make me cry. Don't worry, darling.", she said and then nodded in front ofher. "Speaking of beautiful. Have you ever seen your sister so happy?",she smiled and looked to the couple before them were George, clad in an expensive suit was walking hand in hand with Chelsea. It seemed so surreal to see the scouser this happy and relaxed and...yes, in love. The looks the two brits gave each other were full of love and care for each other and it made Chelsea look more beautiful then she ever had been.
"They are good for each other, don't you think?",Harmonia said.
Meanwhile George held Chelseas hand tight and when she looked to him he gave her a look back. "May I say that you were never more beautiful, love?",he smiled and took the red rose from his chest, sticking it in Chelseas hair.
"There, perfection.", he smiled as they walked on to witness what possibly would be the happiest day in Williams and Astrids life.
Harmonia just could'nt hold back. "You have a real gentleman Chelsea. Take good care of him...",she chuckled into the scousers ear.
Finella who walked behind them with Kennedy grinned her bright wolfish smile as she shot a sideglance to Kennedy. "Well that thing in the bathroom was a nice appetizer, can't wait for the main course...", she said and gave her new friend a kiss on the cheek.

Re: The Official Ostberg-Ashworth Wedding (Open Thread)
At last, it was time for everyone to be seated at the table for the banquet. When Astrid saw everything that was prepared for them, her eyes went wide at the sight. An event as big as this was sure to need plenty of cooking to serve everyone, and the spread before her certainly didn't disappoint! "My...I see someone's been busy!" she said. In addition to more traditional Christmas fare, William had some barbecue dishes to represent his side of the family. It was truly a celebration of everything they had come from, and everything the two of them had to look forward to together. As Astrid began to plate out her portions, she couldn't help but look back at William, and her eyes got a little misty as a smile grew across her face. Just thinking on how far they had come brought back fond memories...and they were only getting started!
"Everything is lovely," Astrid said to Mina. "You did a wonderful job."
There was plenty of discussion to be had around the table. For Astrid, it was her first time being able to see her family in longer than she was used to, and she had plenty of stories to share - and to hear from her own relatives, who were eager to fill her in on the details. For some of her friends, it would be their first time to get acquainted with William's, and vice versa; there were many introductions to be had, and many friendships to be forged. Sheila was eager to wave to everyone who passed by, even if Brianna had to remind her not to hog all the meat to herself. And things were only getting started - soon, it was time for the ceremony to begin.
Everyone took their places in line, side by side. Toward the front of the line, Brianna leaned a little close to her own husband with a smile. "Doesn't this bring back memories? I swear, sometimes it feels like ours was just yesterday..." Behind her, Sheila hopped eagerly up and down as she pulled Hank along by the hand, waving her hand to everyone both in front of and behind her. And in between them were the two Forster sisters - both, now, with their respective partners.
Just being here, with Chelsea, and with the two being able to smile and celebrate, Molly let out a sigh of relief. For a while, she had feared that her sister's relentless pursuit of vengeance against Finella was going to tear the two of them apart, and when she saw how much it weighed on Chelsea's mind - how inadequate she felt, how much she cursed the success her rival seemed to get that she was owed - she felt helpless, wanting to do what she could to support her but afraid to step in, knowing as she did that Chelsea was every bit as jealous of how easily she and Harmonia had found love in one another. Now, though, it seemed as though all that troubled her was long behind her - and she could smile. Molly could, too.
"Honestly?" she whispered to Harmonia, watching as Chelsea walked at George's side with a grin on her face and her back held high, "I don't think I have. But...I'm glad she is. She deserves it."
George seemed to think as much, too. When he complimented Chelsea, and when he placed the flower in her hair, the Englishwoman stared back into his eyes. A smile spread across her face, and she leaned in closer, her hands reaching to gently take his own. Ordinarily, Chelsea would have felt embarrassed to be showing this much affection, and this much emotion, so publically. Tonight, though...she had her excuse. And when she looked back at George, her smile grew wider, and her eyes watered. She could allow it, just this once. When she felt more seen, and more loved, than she ever had before, she couldn't help it. "Thank you, George...thank you."
Harmonia had some words to wish Chelsea as well - and, hearing them, she nodded her head. Before, she might have scorned Harmonia acting as though she could relate to Chelsea and put herself on her level when she was so much wealthier and more famous than she could ever hope to know. But tonight, Chelsea knew her words were sincere. Tonight, Chelsea had no regrets. "Believe me," she said to the Austrian in a softer voice than many could ever say they'd heard from her, "I will."
Even still, when Molly squeezed Harmonia's hand tighter and leaned closer to her girlfriend's side, and when she giggled with a whisper of "So, how long do you give them until their wedding?", Chelsea's face still lit up with a blush - Molly hadn't been quite as inconspicuous as she might have thought.
Of course, through it all, no one could deny that the real star of the evening was the bride herself, Astrid Ostberg. She hung at the back of the procession, close at her father's side. Astrid had faced many a challenge before; she had taken on some of the most fearsome opponents LAW had to offer, and she had earned her title through plenty of hard work and dedication...but even she couldn't help but feel a little intimidated tonight, facing a challenge like none other she had taken on before. At the least, she was happy that the veil she wore hid how much she was blushing, as she whispered to her father for support and clutched his hand tighter. "I still can't believe I'm doing this..."
"Don't worry, Astrid," Lars reassured her, "everything will be fine. William's a good man. And if I know you...you can stand up to anything."
"Everything is lovely," Astrid said to Mina. "You did a wonderful job."

Re: The Official Ostberg-Ashworth Wedding (Open Thread)
Brianna would remind Jonathan of their own wedding that happened all the way back in December of 2019. Jonathan had previously proposed to his then-girlfriend in the ring and they married months later at a rose garden in Ohio. They were truly the first couple to start it all among their friends. Ryan and Marzia tied in the knot in Mexico and now, Astrid and Will get to do the same in Norway. Jonathan smiled back at his wife seeing how far they came with their little fur babies like Angel and their own kids like Macy and Stella, who were seated amongst the crowd waving at their parents.
“It certainly has been a long time and we even became parents to two smart girls. Getting them off to college is the next big step and we’re still young enough for the ring so we have a bright future ahead,” Jonathan reminded her.
Finella kissed Kennedy’s cheek as the jungle woman nuzzled her partner. The pair ditched dinner when no one was looking and made music of a different kind in the organ hall. Kennedy was impressed that Finella was a quick licker like her other girlfriend, Haleigh.
“Stick around for some drinks and we can party back at the hotel. I can hardly control myself, babe,” Kennedy whispered seductively in Finella’s ear giving her a taste of what was to come for them in more private affairs.
Hank had to chuckle at the enthusiasm and over excitement of little Sheila as it reminded him of his own granddaughters back in Venice Beach.
“You must jump off the ropes a lot with that excitement,” Hank stated.
The doors to the ceremony hall open as music started playing from the piano as the musician played a soft melody to welcome everyone inside. They walk down the ramp towards the altar as the priest waited in his black and red robes with bible in hand. William parted ways with his mother to stand at the altar as every other couple passed by lining up near him to welcome in Astrid. The piano player switched the tune to “Here Comes The Bride” cueing Astrid and Lars to enter the hall next.
