Three Minute Challenge: Astrid Ostberg vs. Nashi Dragneel

With Nashi going out of the ring, Astrid stood tall behind the ropes, looking down on her from above. Her hands were on her hips, and she studied the pink-haired girl's movements with a wary eye. Some might interpret Astrid as looming over a lesser opponent with such a display, quite literally looking down on her. But that wasn't Astrid's intent. She was here to judge Nashi, not to belittle her. She knew the idol had a lot of spirit in her, and that spirit could well translate into the willpower she needed to take herself to the title scene. It would all be up to Nashi to prove if she could do it, and Astrid was watching her intently. But from what she'd seen of this match so far...Astrid was not disappointed.

In fact, when Nashi issued her challenge for Astrid to leave the ring, it caused the Norsewoman to raise an eyebrow. It was unusual for Astrid to want to go out of the ring - a position where rules didn't apply, and where brutal and underhanded tactics often ruled the day. Unless her opponents really seemed like they deserved it, she had too much faith in her skills, and too much respect for the code of conduct that governed the sport, to take such measures. And since the referee couldn't stop them, and they would be even closer to the cage, Astrid would only be opening herself to more danger if she left the ropes.

But, for that matter...so would Nashi. If, even with the odds stacked against her, she was willing to put herself at an even greater risk, just to prove that she could...then that was enough to make Astrid smile. That was the sort of spirit she was looking for!

"Is that so? You want me to face you outside the ring - close to the cage, with no ropes or no padding to save you?" A few of the fans cheered at this, either thrilled by the prospect of such a confrontation or wanting to encourage the idol. But they cheered even louder a moment later, when Astrid's smile grew wider, and she called out a few choice words.

"I accept!"

Climbing over the ropes, Astrid helped herself down to the floor, where she took a moment to stretch and looked Nashi over. There, she sank into a stance. She was eager to see what Nashi was going to do now that they had gone outside the ring - and from all the cheers, so were the fans!

Nashi look above her as Astrid was towering from ring. She was hoping that Astrid would fall for her plan. While Nashi didn’t want to use underhanded tactics especially against someone she respected like Astrid. What changed Nashi’s mind was this was a “deathmatch” in here anything is allowed and nothing could stop Astrid from accidently breaking a bone in Nashi’s body.


Once Astrid was out,Nashi reached with arms to grab her leg arm. Nashi went to use all the strength she can muster to swing her giant body around to try and send her into the cage! If the pink haired girl was successful she would aim to follow up by charging right after, jumping into the air to send out a powerful hip attack to the face!

Now that Astrid had stepped out of the ring, all bets were off. Under the terms the two women had agreed to, the rules wouldn't apply to this match anyway. Nothing could stop anything they did, in the ring or out. But when Astrid left the ring, it was a symbolic gesture. When even Astrid Ostberg, who had long championed the virtues of wrestling by the book and looked down on anyone who would bend the rules to their advantage, who refused to even stay out of the ring for long even when it was allowed as a matter of principle, was getting out from between the ropes, that said something. There was no way to predict what would happen next - but chaos was sure to ensue!

When she saw Nashi closing in on her, grabbing her by the arm to reel her in with an Irish whip, Astrid almost didn't believe it. She raised an eyebrow, looking on in shock. There was no way, she thought, that Nashi actually thought this could work - that she would be able to move a woman so much larger than she was. But she was trying anyway; she was that determined to win! Astrid's eyes grew a little wider as she felt Nashi grab onto her arm and pull her forward, straining with every bit of her strength to force the Norsewoman to move. And then, with another twist to her hips, she finally did it! Astrid was pulled off her footing, sending her running. She was so shocked by what had happened that she couldn't even process it as reality - until that reality asserted itself a moment later, when she slammed into the wall of the cage with a thud!

The whole cage rattled with Astrid's full weight landing against it, causing a few fans in the crowd to wince. She slumped a little lower, holding onto the bars for support as she panted and groaned. Her head was still ringing from the impact; it had gone numb - but slowly, she began to turn around, and when her eyes settled on Nashi, she smiled. Nashi had to have been confident in her own abilities if she was going to try hitting Astrid herself with an Irish whip. But she didn't let the odds keep her down, showing the spirit Astrid wanted to see in her. And in the end, it had worked - which meant that she really had made good on her promises to get stronger. "Nice job..." she muttered under her breath.

However, just because Astrid respected Nashi's efforts didn't mean she was going to let down her guard! Just now, the idol was taking off after Astrid, prepared to land a hip attack against her to knock her further into the bars. But this time, Astrid would be ready. Just as Nashi came close, Astrid suddenly whipped around to grab her in midair - and if that worked, she would bend at the knee, going to drop Nashi down onto it tailbone-first to hit her with an atomic drop!

Nashi had a burning fire in her eyes. The crowd began to change their tune and cheer for her thinking that she might be able to stand in the same league as Astrid. That cheer from the crowd gave Nashi the courage to try a hip move right after slamming the Norwegian beast straight into the cage! When Nashi was about to hit her”WHATTT!?” She let out in confusion as Astrid rose and grabbed her slamming her straight on her tailbone! “AHHH!” Nashi screamed for everyone to hear as right when she hit it Nashi’s body fell right off to the side of Astrid’s. The arena went silent, Nashi didn’t make any moves for a a couple of seconds and the crowd began to think this was the end….


“no…. I can’t let it end!” Nashi said to herself digging her nails into the ground as she slowly pushed herself back up”Astrid…. I won’t give up… UNTIL IM DEAD!” She declared as the Dragneel girl went to return back with a vengeance aiming to send a powerful uppercut to Astrid’s chin!!!!

Nashi was using her speed to her advantage, launching herself straight at Astrid with her hip attack in an attempt to plow into her at top speeds and knock her against the cage. Even now, when she'd caught her breath and had time to regroup, Astrid still wasn't sure she would be able to avoid Nashi's incoming attack in time. But then, she didn't need to. She had the strength to make up for that - and she was going to use it to her advantage now, slamming Nashi down into her raised knee!

As the pink-haired girl sank lower into the mat, the fans shuddered; even those who favored Astrid couldn't help but cringe at how much Nashi had to be hurting right now. When she didn't move, they went quiet, everyone stunned into silence - the tension in the air was thick; no one could be sure if the match had ended now or not, and everyone waited on the edge of their seat to see what would happen next. Astrid took a few steps closer, placing her hands on her hips as she leaned over to survey her fallen foe. As she looked Nashi up and down, she huffed under her breath. Was this all Nashi had in her? She was definitely impressed by the commitment and the dedication she'd seen from her so far, but if she was so determined to show off, Astrid hoped she wouldn't be taken out as quickly as this...

But Astrid wouldn't be disappointed. Suddenly, Nashi got up - and as she did, the whole crowd gasped! Astrid took a step back from her, but she smiled. Nashi was taking on an unbelievable amount of punishment, especially from someone larger than she was - and yet, she was still able to get back up, and she didn't slow down even for a second. She was in this to fight it to the end. Her firey spirit still burned - and it would be concentrated into a powerful uppercut, as she lashed up from the ground, striking Astrid upside the jaw!

The sound of a crack rang out as the champion's head snapped backward, and she let out a groan. Thrown off her balance, she went staggering back into the cage, where her back fell against the bars with the sound of a clang! Panting for breath, Astrid began to sink lower. She grabbed onto the bars to hold herself steady, looking back up toward Nashi with her eyes narrowed in a watchful glare. For now, she was going to need to catch her breath - and the ball was left in Nashi's court. But Astrid waited on what Nashi would do next with eager attention, her lips curled into a smile. So far, she had been impressed - hopefully, Nashi could keep it up.

"...nice job."

Nashi couldn’t believe it despite the pain she was in she managed to rise up and leave Astrid stunned! The idol pulled herself back together and raised a finger up to the sky shouting”ARE YA READY!?” She shouted to the crowd with them cheering”YES!!” The pinklette smirked running up to the blonde. She knew she couldn’t lift her up but she had another idea, Nashi put her arms around her neck and went to slam it down to the floor fro a DDT!

If Nashi had been encouraged already to see that her efforts against Astrid were bearing fruit, this was truly getting her fired up! Now that the Norsewoman lay slumped against the wall of the cage, panting for breath to try and collect herself, she saw her opportunity to strike with an even more impressive and devastating manuever. Her spirits were soaring as she called upon the energy of the crowd - and when she did, every voice called back in her support! Nashi was up against what seemed to be unbeatable odds, taking on the champion in a steel cage deathmatch, and she was still standing tall and proud, finding the strength in her to launch herself back into the action. Few could see her spirit and not be moved by such dedication!

Astrid was still pushing herself back off the cage when Nashi came charging forward, jumping into the air - and grabbing hold of Astrid's neck! The Norwegian's eyes went wide in shock just moments before she struck. The next thing she knew, she had been pulled straight down, slamming her head face-first against the unforgiving floor of the arena! When she landed with a thud, sending a jolt through her body that made her hips buck, a fair few fans in the crowd winced at the thought of how much such a landing had to hurt. She was left groggy and dizzied, trying to shake the cobwebs out of her head enough to keep fighting. But she reached out to grab at the ground all the same, in an effort to claw her way to safety. Astrid needed time to recover - and Nashi wasn't giving her that!

Nashi honestly couldn’t believe what she was doing right now. She had the heavyweight champion of Law on the floor trying to crawl her way to escape. Nashi leaned forward with her hands on her knees letting out a few pants before saying”alright Astrid, I like you and all but this maybe my only shot of beating you so I can’t give up now!” She said to her dazed opponent. The idol walked around to block her way before reaching down and gripping her hair to get her ok her knees”I can’t lift ya but I can do this!” She shouted as she reeled her free arm back and went to send her fist straight into Astrid’s face!

Astrid knew that there was a sizeable gap in skill between her and Nashi, but that didn't seem to matter now. The pink-haired idol was standing up to her with such strength and determination that she was able to establish herself as a formidable opponent for the Norsewoman, and the fans were cheering even louder when they saw her refusing to balk in the face of danger! Now, Astrid was on all fours, backing up toward the wall as Nashi stepped forward to stare her down. Her chest rose and fell as she drew in haggard breaths, and steadily she looked up to meet eyes with her opponent. Her whole body was sore, her legs were aching...but she still smiled. Seeing such dedication from Nashi, even in the face of what seemed like an inevitable defeat, told Astrid that the idol had potential.

Astrid held that smile on her face even as the image of Nashi in front of her wavered and the world spun. But Nashi was still on the warpath. She grabbed Astrid by the hair, dragging her up to her knees, and causing her to wince from the pain. And then, with her other hand, she swung a fist - one that smacked straight into Astrid's face, causing her head to reel backward in an arc! Her hair whipped through the air as she cried out with a groan - and then, her head struck the cold, unforgiving steel of the cage, causing the entire structure to rattle.

The Norwegian began to sink lower, falling back against the wall of the cage; it was only with her fingers wrapped around the bars that she was able to keep herself held up. Her hair had fallen across her face, plastered to her brow with sweat, and a trickle of blood had begun to drip down her forehead. She panted and gasped, her chest rising and falling each time. But she still met eyes with the Fiery Idol, and even now, she was able to share some praise. "Nice...shot," she huffed. "And thinking through your strategies...very inventive..."

Then, though, Astrid's grin grew a little wider. Pushing herself onto her feet, she reached out, grabbing Nashi by the shoulder to hold her in place. "...but I'm not giving up now!" Nashi had set a precedent in escalating the violence of this match, and Astrid was ready to rise to it! Pulling her forward, she would attempt to drag Nashi closer - where she would then sling her arms around her sides to lift the girl into a suplex, tossing her toward the bars of the cage just behind them!

Nashi smirked confidently as she landed a powerful punch directly into Astrid’s face! She huffed and bend forward with her hands back in her knees seeing the blonde champion actually bleeding. “I guess I went a bit too far with that punch” She chuckled before seeing her opponent begin to rise. The idol tried to move out of the way, but unfortunately she was sook grabbed by Astrid and raised in the air!


“WOAHH AUGHH!!!!” Nashi screamed as her body was slammed hard into the cage! A loud shake is caused but that couldn’t stop Nashi! She had to continue no matter what, she’s now sandwiched between the cage and Astrid, so she aimed to use her legs to wrap around her neck to try and bring the giant down!
