Family Reunion

Unread post by Deskfan45 »

Skylar's fingers probed deeper into the dirt hole, the two small limbs wriggling around to create space and explore further. Of course the fire ants didn't take kindly to this invasion, and they fought back as hard as they could. Up to the girl's wrist, there were red little life forms, stinging away at their attacker, but nothing stopped Skylar, nothing got her to pull her fingers out of the anthill. Even as the ants stung her, even as her hand and forearm grew covered in red welts, her fingers dug deeper.

Sky and Cecilia had been on the road for months now, touring around Japan. Their life recently had been nothing but traveling, eating, stopping at the occasional landmark or attraction, and on certain days of the week, kick the shit outta some bitches in the ring. It was comparable to a really, really long vacation, and that vacation had lead the unlikely duo to Yokohama, where Skylar had managed to drag Cecilia along for an afternoon walk through the local park. As the two took in the sights, Skylar spotted a fire ant hill, and decided to squat down and stick her fingers as deep inside as she could, watching the red ants scramble around her hand en mass, biting and stinging the flesh of her hand. She took a deep breath, taking in the sensation of the ants crawling under her, their stingers poking into her hand, and the dirt under her fingers. Her phone rang, and she picked it up with her free hand. "Yo... Hey mom!... Yeah, we're in Yokohama... Oh shit, I forgot you lived here, heh... Fuck yeah, sure, I'll tell Cecilia. Thanks mom, love ya!" She said, before hanging up. The brunette rose to her feet, rubbing the dirt from her hand off her hoodie, revealing just how red and swollen her hand had become. "My mom's inviting us to sty at her place while we're in town!" She said excitedly, stuffing her phone in her pocket.

She was doing this. She was actually fucking doing this. Cecilia had been trapped in a car, various hotel rooms, and even the occasional plane with this woman for months now, occasionally wondering if it would be worth it to beat her head in with a rock. She thought she'd seen it all. But this was...entirely new for her. While Skylar dug her fingers into a mount of fire ants, Cecilia simply sat at a nearby picnic table, her face buried in her hands as she hoped against all hope no one recognized them so that she could pretend she didn't know her. She'd tried to talk her out of this, and she didn't even seem to care.

Lost in her own thoughts, Cecilia almost didn't notice when Skylar's phone started ringing. But when the brunette called back to her, she was able to shake herself back to reality enough to look up in her direction. "Hrm?" As she straightened herself in her seat, the first thing Cecilia noticed was how red and swollen Skylar's hand was...and yet, it didn't even seem to bother her; she kept carrying on with casual conversation as though this was the most normal thing in the world. She leaned her head in to glance around her tag team partner with a baffled look - though a part of her couldn't help but be impressed when it didn't seem to bother her at all. However, when Skylar brought up arranging a visit with her mother...that was what made Cecilia stop.

"Your mom, huh..." Cecilia had heard Skylar talk about her mother from time to time along their trip, and some of those stories left her curious. For all the dysfunction in their lives, and for all Skylar got into...at least, her mother seemed like a kind, supportive woman who was willing to stick with her in spite of all the trouble. She sighed, glancing down at her feet. She only wished she could still have that. Thinking too long on it caused her mind to flash back to living on the streets of Detroit with her mother, scrounging her way from couch to couch until the day came where her mother fell ill. When she came home to a mother who was cold, motionless, never answering her when she called out to her, and when it set in her mind that she would never hear her voice reassuring her that they could still stick it out, that they still had hope, ever again...

Cecilia could feel a tear drop from the edge of her cheek, her lip trembling nervously, before she reminded herself of her vow to never be weak like this again. Luckily, Skylar didn't seem to notice. Her expression going stern, Cecilia squeezed her fist tightly to ground herself as she sat back up straight, looking back at Skylar.

"Y'know, I've never had the chance to meet her. Maybe it's about time."

Background Music
Meanwhile, in a house on a hill, Christmas music hummed through the living room from the flat screen television. A fireplace crackled softly beneath hanged photographs of a woman and a little girl. A red blanket covered in snowflakes was spread across the back of the gray couch. In the corner was a lit Christmas tree, being decorated by a beautiful woman in a white and pink kimono. She was a happy woman, who had just about everything she wanted. A comfortable living and fulfilling career as a nurse, as well as a beautiful home that happened to be fairly close to where her beloved daughter lived. Whenever LAW did a show nearby, she'd sign on for a sexfight that'd be sure to give her excitement. After the hell that'd been the first three fourths of her life so far, Maya Jones deserved this happy ending... But a happy woman was not without her demons. Still to this day she ached over the childhood she could not give her dear daughter. If only things could have been then as they were now, what would Skylar have grown up to be? Happier? Healthier? More kind? Perhaps she wouldn't have grown up to be hurt inside enough to do such harm to sweet young Yuki Kazikura. But still, no matter how vile the sin, Maya loved her daughter. She always would.

A smile came to the mother's face as she heard footsteps on her porch. "And that, my friend, is why sticking a peeled banana in your vagina before sex is not only a great lubricant, but will also add new flavor to your pussy, which your partner'll definitely appreciate if you end up doing oral." Skylar concluded as she opened the door. She smiled as she felt the warmth of the fire, and smelled the sweet scent of the candles. Fuzzy feelings filled her heart."Hey, Mom." She said, before falling into her mother's arms, the two embracing. It'd been forever since the two had met face to face, and here they were at last, each woman squeezing tightly to the only family she had in the whole wide world. "Hey... You look beautiful, Skylar." Maya said, "Thanks." Skylar smiled. As the embrace ended, Maya turned to Cecilia. "You must be Cecilia. It's a pleasure to finally meet you." She greeted, extending a handshake.

Cecilia groaned, her shoulders sinking as she buried her hands deeper in her pockets. She'd been deliberately tuning out everything Skylar had said on the trip over here, and somehow, she still managed to be bewildered by whatever inane ramblings fell out of the gears turning in her head. "Yeah, okay, I get it. I'm never asking you for sex advice."

But the moment Skylar opened the door into her living room, something changed. Cecilia stopped, straightening her back, and looking in on the room with wide eyes. She saw the gently arranged decorations, she heard the Christmas music drifting through the air, and she felt the warmth crackling from the fire. It felt warm here, peaceful here - as though she could feel its loving embrace just standing in the doorway. But what struck Cecilia even more than what she felt was what she didn't feel. She knew this was supposed to be nostalgic, that it was supposed to be a picture-perfect moment, the stuff happy memories were made of. But she had no frame of reference for that. She never grew up with Christmas trees, or music, or a warm fireplace. And she didn't grow up with anyone like Maya Jones. At least, not for long.

As Skylar greeted her mother, Cecilia let out a sigh, glancing away. She didn't need to be reminded of all the things she never got to have, or how much she wished she had. She was ready to tune out of the whole scene altogether, right when she heard Maya address her. Well, then. Seemed like she wasn't going to get out of this one.

"...mmrm." Cecilia muttered as she turned back to face Maya, still looking quite disinterested in the matter. Still, she withdrew her hand, going to shake Maya's own. "I take it Skylar's told you about me." She could only imagine what stories she'd tell. Granted, she was sure that Maya had heard worse, having to raise Sky.
