Victory conditions: pinfall, submission, knockout, disqualification
"You know, if you keep this up, you won't need me soon," Victoria said, putting the documents aside.
Astrid grinned and then sent a few quick punches into the punching bag. The blonde took a deep breath, and then directed the force into the muscles in order to complete the warm-up with the last powerful punch. She turned around and looked at the manager. British humor was not the favorite trait of Victoria for Astrid. However, this time the joke was really good.
"Yes, you definitely need to work harder, huh," the Norwegian woman replied and went to the locker to take the wristbands.
On the one hand, the last few weeks have been a rest, because Astrid didn't have any matches. But on the other hand, these weeks were still very busy. She not only found herself a rival in the person of Aurora, but also entered into a confrontation with the former champion, Diana Accera. However, now the blonde did not want to think about Diana, now she needed to concentrate on the upcoming match.
"I don't need to ask you to be careful, right?" Victoria asked, which caused Astrid to look slightly surprised.
"Any reasons?" Astrid understood that the manager asked this because of something.
Instead of answering, the Englishwoman sighed heavily and took off her glasses. Astrid walked over to her and sat down next to her. Sincere conversations were not the strongest side of the blonde, but she respected Victoria and considered her a friend, so she wanted to listen to what was bothering her manager. Despite the fact that they had known each other not for a very long time, she owed a lot to this woman.
"Lately, everything seems to be falling out of my hands, at I think so," Victoria admitted.
"What exactly?" Astrid decided to clarify just in case.
"Well... you know, I really screwed up with the last matches for Nerissa and Charlotte..." Victoria said, looking away.
Astrid nodded. She should have known what was bothering her manager. Yes, the last matches for Charlotte and Nerissa were not very successful. Especially for Nerissa. And although none of their team would ever accuse Victoria of poor performance of her duties, the Englishwoman still thought that the blame for recent events lay with her. Astrid sighed heavily, and then looked back at the manager.
"Listen, I'm sure you know without me that it's not your fault," said the Norwegian woman, "you feel responsible for us, I know that, but you shouldn't shoulder more than you need."
"I..."
"You let Charlotte take part in a match against a bigger opponent and you let Nerissa represent our team in the first PPV," Astrid was going to finish without letting Victoria interrupt her, "but you are not responsible for the result, this responsibility belongs to us, not to you, you believed in them and they did everything what was in their power to justify your faith, and is that a bad thing?"
Victoria was thinking hard, and Astrid smiled good-naturedly. When she met Victoria, this woman seemed to her a mystery. Astrid realized that this woman does not perceive them as just clients, she really cares about them. The blonde accepted it and was grateful for it. Although the reasons for this still remained hidden for her. Astrid got to her feet and lightly patted Victoria on the shoulder.
"So don't worry about it and don't worry about me," Astrid glanced at the door and grinned, "she beat me in arm wrestling, but I'll be damned if I'll let her beat me in the ring!"
Since Victoria didn't say anything, Astrid just nodded and headed for the door. The time has come. She had been waiting for this match for a long time and she wasn't going to wait any longer. But when the blonde turned the door handle, the manager called out to her.
"Astrid!"
"What?" she glanced over her shoulder.
"Kick her ass!" Victoria said, putting on her glasses, and then smiled.
"No other way, huh!" chuckled Astrid, who was clearly delighted that Victoria felt better after their conversation.
The Norwegian woman came out of the locker room and headed down a long corridor. Today she has to meet with another veteran. And for Astrid, this will be the third qualifying match. After that, she will be able to take the Apex Match. Remembering this, the blonde snorted irritably. A week ago, she challenged Diana. Considering what she had become, Astrid wanted to beat the crap out of the former champion's head with all her heart. But Diana declined her challenge.
Entering the waiting room, Astrid stopped in front of the curtains. She would still have time to take care of Diana. So far, her main concern was Aurora. Astrid clenched her fists and took a deep breath. A new obstacle on the way. A new challenge. Astrid couldn't beat her at the bar. But today she was determined to correct this oversight. The descendant of the great Vikings struck her left palm with her right fist.
"To the last drop of sweat!" she said to herself.
Entrance Music
Attire
Her dynamic music started and the Golden Dragon came out from behind the curtains. She was greeted with loud cheers from the crowd, which made her smile. Joining to LAW, Astrid began to move forward like a steam locomotive. She had principles, she had a tough character and she had tremendous strength. This allowed her to win their hearts. Therefore, without remorse, she took a step forward and raised her hands above her head, joining her palms in the manner of a crown.
Starting down the ramp, Astrid remembered how recently she raced on a motorcycle through several blocks in order to arrive at the arena on time. At that time, she gave a young fan her helmet. This time she didn't have such gifts with her, but she could still give them a few selfies and a few autographs. Which she did.
After spending some time with the fans, the Golden Dragon began to run to the ring. Rolling under the bottom rope, she jumped to her feet and walked confidently into the center of the ring. Her music was coming to an end and the audience was waiting. The blonde smiled broadly and pointed at herself with her thumb, which was her signature gesture.
When her music ended, she accepted the last applause and greeted the referee. After that, the Golden Dragon headed to her corner. Leaning back, she put her hands on the top ropes. She was calm and focused. Although she couldn't deny that there was anticipation in her soul. To doubt Aurora's abilities and strength would be endless stupidity. Astrid knew what this veteran was capable of. It was for this reason that she wanted to face her. It was for this reason that she wanted to defeat her. After all, a warrior always needs a worthy opponent.
