Steel and Scale: Wyvern vs. Cyber Widow

[Hills]

Wyvern is either unable or unwilling to resist Thereisa's Irish Whip, which sends her hurtling into and then off of the ring ropes. In fact, she throws herself fully into the motion, using Thereisa as a springboard to increase her speed even further and barreling back towards the larger wrestler with fire in her eyes after redirecting herself back towards the Silver Demon. The first part of Thereisa's Frankensteiner goes all according to plan. She's easily able to make it up to Wyvern's head and secure her legs on the smaller wrestler's shoulders.

As soon as her grip is locked, however, Wyvern's arms reach forward and around, driving her fingers into Thereisa's back hard enough to secure a grip even on the older woman's iron-hard musculature. With this, she prevents Cyber Widow from completing her move by rendering her unable to easily fall backwards. Having momentarily arrested her opponent, Wyvern wastes no time in shifting her momentum downwards, aiming to use a modified powerbomb to slam Thereisa back first into her own pile of thumbtacks!

[The Riders]

Thereisa was going for the finish as soon as possible... in a battle like this she felt that she would need to land a big blow to put her opponent down for good and pin her for the victory. Hence why she had set everything up for her to spike Wyvern's head onto the thumbtacks with the Frankensteiner. Something like that would have easily put even someone like Kat or Alaina down for good if the move landed.

But as soon as she was falling backwards... her opponent was able to stop her from competing with the move and countered it in a brutal way that made the fans jump up to their feet, watching the blood of war between the two of them. As Wyvern was able to power bomb her into the tacks back first forcing the older woman to let out a loud scream 'AAAAHHHHH.' as her back arches off of the pile as the camera man pans to see a shot of the woman back being covered in the sharp objects digging into her skin... as Thereisa would roll out of the pile and gets to her knees groaning in pain from the move.

Wyvern staggers back after delivering the power bomb, catching herself on her feet. Her breathing is heavy, but tightly controlled and regular, rather than desperate gasping for air that might be more normal in her position. Her entire body still feels like it's on fire, between the strain of reversing her far heavier opponent's momentum and the icy pricks of metal still littering her flesh, but she's already starting to adjust to the sensation. It will be almost unbearable later, but now, with adrenaline coursing through her and her focus elsewhere, it will soon barely register. Unable to move immediately, she takes a moment to center herself as Thereisa rolls over to escape the tacks.

"You know...what mistake...vets tend to make?"

The words come slowly, between deep breaths. Gritting her teeth, Wyvern pushes through the pain and stalks towards the Silver Demon. Scooping her hand forward, she drives her hand into Thereisa's throat, halfway between a strike and a choke hold as her grip tightens around her opponent's neck. Wyvern brings her face down, close to Cyber Widow's own.

"Hear a lot...about rookies. But vets? You always...fight for...the win."

In a single motion and with a burst of almost inhuman strength, Wyvern attempts to shove Thereisa backwards, off of her knees and once again onto her back. If this succeeds, Wyvern follows her down, straddling the larger woman and raising her other fist up in preparation for a strike, and it's here that Wyvern puts her ability to plan ahead on full display. Earlier, when she used her first to push herself off the ground, she had used the thickest part of the tacks for support. It was horrendously painful, yes, but it also embedded numerous tacks deeply into the back of her fingers. Now, the thick layer of metal forms an excruciating, but effective, set of improvised brass knuckles. Wyvern's bloody lips twist into an animalistic expression halfway between a snarl and a grin. Her eyes are lit up, because no matter how much it hurts, no matter how exhausted she might be, in these moments she feels alive like no other time. She begins driving her fist down, aiming repeated strikes at Thereisa's face.

"I...just...fight!"

Thereisa back looks like a pin cushion as her blood leaks from her body, and she is not only wearing a crimson mask... However, her body is beginning to show the wounds of new scars as a result of the powerbomb, as the older woman's body begins to shake as she is stunned and frozen, leaving herself wide open for whatever her opponent had planned for her.

As Wyvern demonstrated her strength to the audience, she would grab the older woman by the throat and easily shove her into her back with one hand, before mounting her and displaying the plan she had devised when she stuck her hand into the tacks.

As a rain of punches slammed into Thereisa face, opening more cuts and even busting her lip open, the tacks were used as a crude version of brass knuckles that hit home and forced the veteran wrestler to put her hands up to block some of the blows from knocking her out completely.

[Hills]

It hurts. Win or lose, her hand is going to be unusable for a while after the adrenaline wears off. Pushing the tacks in had been harmful enough, but every strike drives them in even deeper or roughly tears out the looser ones. Once Thereisa manages to get her arms up into a guard position, Wyvern's strikes begin doing more damage to her than her opponent. Even in the throes of her bloodlust, she's smart enough to recognize this fact, however. Rather than give Cyber Widow a chance to turn the tables on her, the Irish wrestler pushes herself back to her feet and hops away, putting some distance between the two.

Once at a safe distance, Wyvern flexes her hand a few times to test its remaining range of motion. While her fingers still work, more tacks begin to fall out. It looks like that trick won't be sustainable moving forward. Instead of making a move to secure a new weapon or push the attack on the Silver Demon, the Irishwoman instead takes a moment to cast her gaze around the ring, memorizing the layout of the objects within as she plans for the next phase of the battle.

As soon as she saw her opponent back away as she was able to get her arms up to block Wyvern's punches, as she gets to her feet. Thereisa takes her mouthpiece out of her mouth and turns her head to the side, spitting out blood from her mouth as she has not once taken her eyes off of the other woman as she does it. "Ich werde dich töten Wyvern," she says while putting the piece back into her mouth to continue the match.

A grin back on her face as her mouthpiece has the image of fangs on it, as she looks around for a weapon of her sending that they are scattered everywhere... As she grabs the nearest one close to her and which is a kendo stick. Twirling the weapon in her hand as she stalks forward before swinging it at the other woman's head wanting to land a blow after Wyvern had control of the match.

Wyvern rolls her shoulder as Cyber Widow threatens her, loosening up in preparation for the furious combat to follow. She doesn't know German, but the meaning behind Thereisa's words is apparent enough from her tone and gestures. In the end, the words themselves matter very little. Threats and violence are a universal language, and in these, Wyvern is perfectly fluent.

"That right? Well, feel free to take a lash at it. You won't be the first or the last to fail."

Despite her bold words, the Irish wrestler is immediately put on the defensive by Thereisa's aggressive swings of the kendo stick. While she's able to prevent any direct hits to the head by taking the stinging strikes on her arms, Thereisa's already-huge reach advantage is elevated to a nigh-insurmountable distance by her use of a weapon. With sheer aggression taken off the table as a valid strategy, Wyvern rapidly cedes ground to the Silver Demon as she's pushed back by the assault. At the same time, however, she doesn't look concerned. Every step back is controlled and calculated, rather than a desperate attempt to avoid damage.

[The Riders]

Each swing of the kendo stick was done with one thing in mind. to force Wyvern backwards and make her keep giving up ground more and more till she was in a spot that Thereisa felt would suit her better in the match, as she needed to trap the younger woman and take away a lot of the woman's aggression and rage by trapping her near the ropes.

Seeing as her opponent is backed up enough for her to put her plan into action... Thereisa would make one more violent swing of the stick at Wendy's head, but it is more of a bait for her to kick forward and land a low blow right in between the other woman's legs, and that the move would trap her opponent in the ring ropes due to the force of the kick's impact. 

[Hills]

Wyvern stops retreating just before her back would have hit the ropes, her awareness of the ring enough to prevent her from stumbling even while under Thereisa's onslaught. She might be letting her opponent dictate the flow of the match for now, but that was fine. She had managed to retain her balance even with the situation turning against her. Patiently, she waits for the right time to make her move.

There.

As the Silver Demon swings in for a final time, Wyvern blocks with her arm as before, but then quickly snakes her other arm up and over the kendo stick. Pinning the wood between her forearms, the Irish wrestler puts all of her strength into a sharp jerk, putting enough pressure on the training weapon to either pull it from Cyber Widow's hands or, more likely, snap it in half like a twig.

Unfortunately for her, however, this maneuver requires her full attention, leaving her wide open for Thereisa's second low blow of the match. Curling over from the pain and force, Wyvern is knocked backwards, losing her footing and falling back against the ropes as a support.

[The Riders]

Fighting dirty in a brawl...whoever said that it was not honorable to do has never been in one, as Thereisa would smirk as her plan worked again, luring the other woman into another trap that gave her some more time to plan other ways of hurting Wyvern and making her bleed.

As the older woman would do something that she knew was going to hurt her hand but that the trade-off would be worth it, she turns and, with a twisted grin on her face, scoops up some of the thumbtacks in her hand before grabbing Wyvern by the throat and forcing the handful of tacks into the younger woman's mouth. 'Clench your teeth" is the only warning Theresa would give.

Before she bends down and raises up, slamming into Wyvern's chin with an palm uppercut, she also puts a lot of force behind it so that it sends her opponent over the ropes and back to the outside again.
