To Cheat Or Not To Cheat: Battle Bugs (D) vs. Heartbreakers

Unread post by dddybee »

No Disqualification Tag Match - Winners determined by whoever lands a pinfall, submission, or K.O on each of the opposing wrestlers first.

After Honie, Antonia, and Arachne came to LAW, there was a bunch of fan speculation about the three bug girls forming a tag stable. Said stable was confirmed recently, and now it was finally time for the Battle Bugs to make their anticipated debut! But there was one little problem. Their opponents (the Heartbreakers) were also a trio, but their leader was currently unavailable. As such, management decided to only pair up two of the Battle Bugs against the remaining pair of Heartbreakers.

Honie and Arachne would be the ones to go, but this also presented another little problem. The Heroine of the Beehive and the Villainess of the Spider Web were a face and heel respectively. Though they were perfectly capable of working together overall, their differences did complicate their team synergy to some degree. To be more specific, Honie carried herself with honor and integerty in the ring, while Arachne was prone to bend and break rules as she pleased.

Now Honie was facing constantly cheating opponent's in her first PPV match. But Arachne had turned the tables on her friend's behalf, by interfering which the match herself. Arachne had proven somewhat of a point by doing this. And since then the bee agreed to the following. When they fought together, she'd be more lenient regarding the spider's rule-breaking antics, if their opponents cheated first themselves. But though Honie wanted to honor this compromise, her principals weren't exactly willing to waver. Likewise, Arachne found to rules of this match to be a clear exception to the agreement. And their tweener leader (Antonia) wasn't around to help resolve any arguments between the two bugs!

"Woohoo! No disqualification! That means we can do whatever we want, and Arachne can get as diabolical as she wants!" The villainess chirped, talking with the heroine backstage. "The entire arena's about to be Arachne's playground! And I'll create so much mind-melting chaos, that our opponents will end up nothing but our playthings! Mwahahahahaha!"

"No disqualification doesn't mean no buzzing rules, Arachne. It just means there's no threat of anyone getting disqualified for breaking them." The bee buzzed, in response to the spider. "If all possible, we can still have a clean, honest, and honorable victory!"

"Psssssh. It might as well mean no rules! The LAW Purge is about to happen out there, and you think you're going to survive by being a good girl? After our opponent's cheat, what do you expect us to do?"
"I mean...what if they don't cheat?"
"Bumble Butt don't be so naïve. What did Antonia tell you about doing research on your opponents?"
"WE'LL BUZZING SEE ABOUT THAT THEN. But speaking of Antonia, we better make sure we win."
"Oh yeah. Our fussy friend will be sooooooooo peeeeeeeeeveeeed, if we don't win our debut match. HehHehHeh. All the more reason to win by any (cough) DiShOnOrAbLe (cough) means necessary."
"LET'S JUST BUZZING GO."
Entrance Theme (Arachne & Honie)

As the duo's entrance theme played, Honie and Arachne were announced and made their appearance in LAW Arena. Much to the waving bee's delight, the Battle Bugs were met with mostly cheers. Honie had an extremely positive fan reception, and a substantial chunk of them also found Arachne entertaining. But for the jeers that were directed to the spider, Arachne meant them with mocking laugher and childish faces. When the two bug girls made it to the ring, Honie would jump in it from the bottom floor, clean over the ropes, as her signature entrance. Arachne would climb and scale up over the ropes, being the spider she was. Now it was time the Masters of the Swarm to get things going, both now awaiting their upcoming adversaries.

Re: To Cheat Or Not To Cheat: Battle Bugs (D) vs. Heartbreakers

Unread post by CaptainL »

While the Battle Bugs were discussing the coming match - and how much or how little their strategy was to take advantage of the no-DQ stipulations - another conversation was going on in the other locker room, of a much different nature. No-DQ matches were nothing new for the Heartbreakers; as a matter of fact, they were the kind of people to bring in whatever low blows, diversions, and foreign objects they could get away with in any match regardless of whether they were allowed to or not. There was no debate for them as to whether or not they were going to cheat. As far as they were concerned, a no-DQ match was just a license for them to cheat as much as they pleased. And considering their leader, Sachiko Koizumi, was away with obligations in the Heart Connection, that just meant they were all the more willing to bend the rules to help even the odds in their favor.

"You remembered the baseball bat, right, Kyoko?"

"Of course!" With a grin on her face, Kyoko brought her hand to her forehead in a salute as she hefted a baseball bat over her shoulder. "Gonna leave it right by the ring! Any more orders, Sachiko?"

"You can start by not calling me Sachiko," Misako huffed.

"...Oh. Sorry. Force of habit, when you're giving me orders."

Misako let out a sigh. "I just hope Sachiko gets back soon...I don't know how much more I can put up with this leader stuff."

"What was that?"

"Nothing." It was then that Misako heard the announcer starting to introduce their entrance - and she grabbed her partner by the arm, hurrying along to the entrance ramp! "Okay, next order! Go fuck some shit up!"

As they emerged from the curtains, Kyoko shot a sinister grin at the Battle Bugs in the ring, hefting her baseball bat over her shoulder, while Misako stood beside her, entering a stance with her legs spread apart and tapping her knuckles together. They made their way to the ring, despite the boos they were getting - Kyoko, in particular, didn't seem to mind; she turned toward the fans and waved her hand as though she was being cheered. When they got to the ring, she stashed the bat in their corner before vaulting over the ropes, while Misako stepped in after her.

"Y'know, if you guys are gonna dress up like bugs...you shouldn't be surprised when someone decides to SQUASH ya!~" Kyoko cheered, jabbing a finger in the other team's direction.

Misako rolled her eyes. "...Really? THAT'S what we're going for? The most insultingly obvious bug insult there is-?"

"At least it's insulting!"

"...Touche." Though she grumbled to herself, Misako nevertheless folded her arms and turned toward her opponents, waiting for their reaction.

Re: To Cheat Or Not To Cheat: Battle Bugs (D) vs. Heartbreakers

While Honie had a bad feeling that their opponent's were gonna cheat tonight, she tried to remain optimistic that she wouldn't have a good reason to let Arachne do the same. However, when the Heartbreaks emerged, Kyoko was carrying a baseball. Clearly an illegal weapon, and the wicked look she gave the Bugs didn't imply she brought it just for show! Honie had seen that same look plenty of times before on Arachne. It was always a sign her mischievous, little sister-in-arms was up to no good. Arachne shot said sinister glare right back at Kyoko, while Honie reacted to the bat's appearance with a long, annoyed sigh. Soon the two teams were face to face, with Kyoko shooting out a taunt about squashing the Battle Bugs.

Being the cutesy heavyweight she was, Honie puffed out her cheeks in mild irritation, while Arachne laughed it off. "Ahahahaha! Good one!" The spider admitted, before shooting right back. "You Heartbreakers will leave here heartbroken, after we're done stinging and webbing you up and down this entire ring! Mwahahahaha! Back me up, Honie."

But Honie wasn't very interested in the exchange of trash talk, her head tilted and eyes drifted to the bat their foes had left at the ringside. "What's with the bat?" The heroine asked in an unamused tone. "I don't suppose you gals will be going to a buzzing baseball game after this match?"

"Nope. They clearly brought it to use us as baseballs. See if you were cool with Arachne going absolutely feral now, I'd quickly steal it and knock out these two chumps before the match even began. But that would be quote-on-quote "against the rules"."

"Well what do ya think the referee is for?" Honie protested, before said referee made his appearance, saying: "Alright ladies, let's have a good, clean fight." This of course got Arachne to laugh.

"AHAHAHAHAHA! 'Clean' he said! Hey buddy, have you ever considered a career change at the circus? They're hiring clowns left and right! HehHeh-Gaaah!"

Honie interrupted Arachne making fun of the ref, by bumping her wide hip onto Arachne's own. The two might-as-well-be sisters exchanged the mutual gesture of sticking their tongues out and one another, before Honie would step forward to square up first. "So which of you rascals is ready to experience first-hand, that no amount of evil tactics will deter the Heroine of the Beehive!" Honie asserted, giving her palm a firm punch. Arachne would go to the ring apron for now, patiently waiting for her noble bee friend to (in her eyes) come to her senses and let the spider go chaotic!

Great. Just what Misako needed. No sooner had Kyoko made a lame joke to open this match that one of their opponents was joining in as well! The dark-haired girl let out an audible groan, her shoulders slumping as she heard Arachne's response. Kyoko's response couldn't have been any more different. She broke out into raucous laughter, as though the spider's taunt had been the funniest thing in the world. "Haha! That's funny - but I hope your moves aren't as good as your jokes, because we'll have this in the bag!"

She soon straightened herself back up, looking at Honie. "Oh, the bat?" She glanced back at the corner. "Juuuuust a little insurance policy!"

"Which we shouldn't need anyway," Misako was quick to cut in.

Kyoko, meanwhile, was listening intently to Arachne's threats, a big grin on her face. "Awww, that's too bad," she muttered, "because that would be awesome!"

Misako groaned again. "Kyoko...she's talking about knocking us out."

"Still would be cool."

The referee entered the ring, announcing his intentions to see a good, clean match - something that only Honie showed any interest in making happen. She might have been outnumbered, but she was the largest woman in the ring, and she had proven herself a capable competitor in many matches beforehand. Still, any advantage she had just gave the Heartbreakers that much more of a reason to cheat in order to even the odds. Honie would be the first to enter the ring, with Arachne stepping back - and when it came time for the Heartbreakers to decide who to send first, it wouldn't take long for them to come to a decision.

"OH! OH! ME! ME!! PICK ME!" Kyoko said, jumping up and down in the air and waving her hand around over her head. Misako groaned a little to herself at her friend's enthusiasm, but she realized it would be a hopeless effort to talk her down. She stepped back through the ropes, leaving Kyoko in the ring - and the redhead was quick to lower herself into a stance, shooting a grin up at Honie.

*DING DING DING*

As soon as the bell sounded, Kyoko was ready to open this match with a strong offense. She lifted her hands up, as though preparing herself for the ever-popular test of strength...but Kyoko either realized trying to out-muscle Honie was hopeless, or she was just that determined not to play by the rules. Hoping to fake the bee out, just seconds later she would drop down and run toward the heavyweight with a shoulder charge, going to slam herself right into her midsection!

Background Music
"In the bag. HehHeh." Arachne had repeated those words from Kyoko, finding some fun irony in them. The spider's signature method of cheating was bringing illegal items to the ring, that she carried in a literal bag, her Thorax Backpack. Unlike the bat the Heartbreakers came with, Arachne's items were more silly than brutal, a tickle feather being one of her favorites. But although Honie found her partner's preferred cheating methods more tolerable than say a low blow or poke in the eye, she was still determined for everything to remain clean if it could. She knew her skilled spider friend didn't need to relay on cheating to be successful, Arachne simply finding it fun to do at times.

But while the villainess respected Honie enough to take her feelings into account, the heroine had zero influence over what type of shenanigans their opponents were willing to do! But at the very least, the Heartbreakers didn't seem particularly hateful and malicious so far. Kyoko and Misako's fun verbal exchanges prompted some chuckles out of Honie, and a good deal of laugher out of Arachne.

"See Arachne." Honie buzzed, responding to Misako's assertion about what her partner called their "little insurance policy". "Things can stay clean. They maaaaaay not even use the bat. Maybe."

"They're facing The Battle Bugs, Bumble Butt." Arachne responded. "They're gonna have to use that bat."

"Yeah, I know." Honie pouted, before squaring up to a very enthusiastic Kyoko. "But that doesn't mean the Heroine of the Beehive will just let 'em!"

"Arachne kinda likes Kyoko though. Hey girl! Maybe when it's our turn to have at it, Arachne will terrorize ya just an itsy, bitsy bit less. HehHehHeh!"

"She is cute as buzz, eh? Okay Kyoko. I pick you. And no funny business."

But as soon as the bell rang, Kyoko would get up to a tad of funny business. She raised her arms as if to invite a classic lock-up. And perhaps naively, Honie raised her own arms to accept! Though as they approached each other, Kyoko would suddenly speed off into a shoulder charge instead, ramming the bee right it the gut! "Ugh! Hey!" Honie grunted. Her rock-hard abs mostly served as an effective shield here, though she did stagger back a little.

"Hmmph. While underhanded, that's technically not cheating. But you don't need to fake-out someone to land a hit...." Honie's stance subtly shifted, before she darted at Kyoko faster than the gal may have anticipated! "IF YOU'RE JUST FAST ENOUGH!" Beatrice raised her brawny arm to attempt to floor Kyoko right off the back, with a powerful lariat!

When Kyoko heard Arachne laugh at her comments, she only grinned wider, giggling with glee. "Seeee, Misako? She thinks I'm funny!" she cheered - something that caused the dark-haired girl to groan. Unlike her partner, Misako realized what Arachne was alluding to, and it left her rolling her eyes. "Can you just...focus on the match already-!?" she hissed in frustration.

If she had a problem with what Kyoko was doing, though, it didn't seem to reach her. The redhead just waved her hand to Arachne, shooting her a winning smile. "You're welcome! Hey, if you're cool, maybe we can hang out some time-!"

"KYOKO!!"

"Right, right!" As soon as Honie entered the ring, Kyoko dropped down and lifted her hands, ready to grapple with the heavyweight. And as soon as the bell rang, she was ready to make her move! She started out slow and methodical, lulling Honie into a false sense of security - so when the time came for her to ram her shoulder into her stomach, it hit that much harder!

Kyoko watched with a grin as Honie backed away. She huffed a little when she saw it wasn't enough to make her go down, but progress was progress. She would just need to hit her even harder next time, and that was something she was sure she could handle! Taking a step forward, Kyoko leaned in closer to the action. She watched as Honie teetered back on her foot, and this, combined with the heavyweight's bulk, encouraged her - she was sure that Honie would be slow to bounce back, which would surely put her at an advantage when it came to controling the offensive. Unfortunately for Kyoko, that was exactly what Honie wanted her to believe!

In a flash, the bee was off. She careened toward Kyoko, clearing the distance in a split-second! The delinquent barely had time to prepare herself - caught by surprise, all she could do was look up with a gasp, when the next thing she knew, Honie rammed her with a hard-hitting lariat! Kyoko had been laid low by her own tactics - and this time, she didn't have the size advantage on her side. The strike bowled her over, and she was thrown off her feet, hitting the mat with a groan; there, she went tumbling to the side, landing in a heap as she whined in pain.

"Aye! Sure thing!" Arachne responded to Kyoko, genuinely liking the idea of them hanging out sometime. However, the spider was more than happy to terrorize both Heartbreakers in her webs, if she was able to do so. Which was something Misako caught onto, reminding her partner to remained focused on the fight. And such focus came in the form of Kyoko faking out her current opponent: the Heroine of the Beehive.

However, Honie was quick to recover from the attack onto her core. And unfortunately for Kyoko, the bee was also fast in striking right back! Honie's sturdy, toned arm crashed painfully into the middleweight, absolutely flooring her with a lariat! Ms. Bea was quicker and more agile than her bulky frame made have lead some to believe, and it was always fun to surprise her adversaries with that!

"Heh. Ya nailed her pretty hard there, eh?" Arachne snickered. She was watching from the top ropes, laying on her side and getting quite comfortable on them.

"But I'm sure she's fine." Honie responded, walking over to loom over Kyoko's downed frame. "Come on, girl! Let's hug it out!" The cutie bee would reach down, aiming to lift Kyoko's body up and effortlessly hold the woman in front of her. If successful, Honie's next move would be to squeeze the middleweight in an ultra-tight bearhug! The powerhouse was known for inadvertently putting too much force in regular hugs. So when she really meant to attack someone in this matter, it would be all the more crushing!

As she watched from the sidelines, Misako was tense. She leaned over the top rope, her fingers clenching the tag rope with a death grip as she grit her teeth and her eyelid twitched. So far things could be going better for the Heartbreakers - Kyoko's first attack barely seemed to slow Honie down at all, and the bee had taken her off her feet with her retaliating strike! She grumbled to herself about how she wouldn't have made such foolhardy mistakes if it was her in the ring. But there wasn't much Misako could do right now - all she could do was wait and see, and hope that Kyoko managed to turn things around.

Misako would only wince all the more when she saw Honie scoop Kyoko off the mat, wrapping her arms around her in a bear hug! The mere sight of Kyoko being set up to take the hold from a heavyweight caused Misako to gasp, calling out "KYOKO, LOOK OUT-!" But it was too late. Almost immediately, her cries would be cut off by a loud scream from Kyoko as she writhed in pain, her back bending inward as her spine arched against the force of Honie's grip. This was bad. They'd started things out on the wrong foot, and now Kyoko was in trouble! If Honie kept this up, this match could be over before it started!

Misako wasn't going to stand for this. She didn't agree to this match just to prove that the Heartbreakers were hopeless without their leader! She would wait until the referee looked away - then, she would let go of the tag rope and run over to get closer to Honie while still on the apron. Holding onto the bottom rope to anchor herself in place, she would slide underneath the ropes to try and deliver a kick to the heavyweight's ankle in the hopes of tripping her up!

Re: To Cheat Or Not To Cheat: Battle Bugs (D) vs. Heartbreakers

The Battle Bugs seemed to have the upper hand. After their respective team members exchange of strikes, Honie was standing strong while Kyoko was completely floored. But the middleweight wouldn't spend too much time on the mat, with Honie lifting her for a spine-crushing bearhug! Misako tried to warn her partner of the move, but: "It's toooooo late!" Arachne mocked from the top ropes, taunting Misako as Honie put the squeeze on her partner. "You'll never win now! HehHehHehHeh!"

But Misako wasn't gonna just sit idly by and do nothing! Rules be darned, she roamed far from her team's corner to attack the bee. But still from the ring apron, she dropped down to land a sneaky sweeping kick to the bee's ankle! "Buzz?!" Honie spoke in alarm, having been successfully tripped up here! She let go off Kyoko suddenly, before falling right on her plump butt!

"HEY! We weren't close enough to your corner! You can't buzzing do that!" Honie protested, glaring at Misako. "Welp. That looks like a free cheating pass, if Arachne ever saw one." Arachne snickered in response. Now that the Heartbreakers had confirmed their intention not to play fair, Arachne saw no reason Honie should insist the spider not do the same.

"Now hang on there, Arachne. Just because our foes are playing dirty, that doesn't mean I can't handle myself. I'm perfectly fine." Honie had reluctantly agreed to let Arachne cheat, if their opponents did first. However, the bee could still try to show her mischievous friend that she didn't need underhanded help to deal with their foes.

"Umm. Bumble Butt, since you're gonna fight fair against cheating adversaries, shouldn't you pay VERY close attention to them."

"Right!" Honie's conversation with Arachne had gotten the bee a little distracted. She stood up and turned back around to face whatever the Hearbreakers had in store next, hopefully before it was too late!

Re: To Cheat Or Not To Cheat: Battle Bugs (D) vs. Heartbreakers

Unread post by CaptainL »

Knowing the Heartbreakers, it wasn't going to be long before they sought to take advantage of the no-DQ nature of this match. Sure enough, it wasn't even even a full minute into this match that they would make their first interference. Given Kyoko's smaller size, and Honie's formidable power, it seemed unlikely that the redhead would be able to break away from the bear hug any time soon, no matter how hard she fought it, writhing and clenching her teeth. But if size gave Honie the advantage here, it could just as easily work against her. The saying went that the bigger they were, the harder they fell - and Misako was out to test that, as she kicked the bee's ankles out from under her in an attempt to send her crashing to the ground below! Sure enough, taken by surprise, Honie had no choice but to let go of Kyoko - and the ring shook under the force of the impact as she hit the mat hard!

Honie shouted at Misako, calling her out for her cheating ways, but it didn't seem to slow her down at all. The dark-haired delinquent merely blew some stray hairs away from her eyes, dusting her hands off as she walked back to her corner. "So I wasn't," she muttered. "And does it look like I care? No."

Furthermore, as Kyoko turned on her side and looked up from where she'd fallen, she began to grin wider too - with Honie and Arachne bickering, the heavyweight was wide open for her to get in a quick strike and catch them by surprise! Suddenly, she jumped to her feet, taking off toward the bee in a charge! "LOOK OUT! COMIN' THROUGH!!" she cried, just before she hopped off the ground and turned to deliver a hip attack upside Honie's head! Misako groaned, rubbing her face in the palm of her hand as she grumbled something about warning ones' opponents throwing the entire plan off - but hopefully, if Kyoko hit hard enough, it wouldn't matter!
