Battle of the Barbarians: Aftermath

Not too long after his match against Matilda Schröder, the newest member of the young lionesses, fellow young lion Oscar Orelash had gone backstage with his opponent in his arms to find a place for her to recover. Both wrestlers were left beaten down and bruised, but Oscar was able to literally squeeze a victory out with his signature bearhug: the Barbaric Brace. However, Matilda hadn't wakened up yet and while Oscar was somewhat happy to see his training with the move had made it more efficient he couldn't help but be worried he might have accidentally injured the barbarian girl. He zipped around the LAW arena before arriving to a spot where they both could get patched up, leaving Matilda laying comfortably in a rest bed while Oscar got bandaged and patched up. When he was finished tending to, Oscar just sat in a chair and waited for Matilda to wake up... though he was left quite tired after the match and would up falling asleep in the chair. Oops. If Matilda were to open her eyes now, she'd see a barbarian boy with a band-aid on his head where she stuck him with her knee and some wraps on his torso where she punched him, the areas showing some bruising- but thankfully not serious enough that he too needed to be put in a bed.

When Matilda woke up she rubbed her head and groaned a bit while staring at the ceiling trying to recollect herself.

"Mmpph...god...vhat happened?"

When she turned her head she saw Oscar sleeping on his cheer as Matilda couldn't help but smile as she gently leaned over and caressed his sleeping face.

"vell zat's kind for ahn opponent to check up on me like zat."

The German woman chuckled as she just lays down and stares at the sleeping Barbarian with a sweet smile.

Oscar stirred a bit as Matilda caressed his tattooed, freckled face. Slowly but surely, Oscar would awaken and blink his eyes a few times while rubbing the sleep out of them. When he noticed that Matilda was awake, Oscar sat upright in his chair.

"Oh- oh! You're awake! You had me really worried there... I've never had someone out for that long after a match before so I uh, just ran you down to the infirmary. How do you feel? Anything broken?"

[Weonna]

"No...not really...I may hafe just let you hug me out on purpose~"

Matilda would reply back to Oscar with a giggle watching how he would react before laying still and eyeing up on the male Barbarian.

"I enjoyed der hug~ maybe you should teach it to me sometime~"

The German woman would joke about before looking at the ceiling and began to think and reflect on her journey here...this wasent how she expected her first match to be but Matilda wasent all too upset about the loss.

Oscar would blink his eyes a few times, surprised by Matilda's answer before suddenly blushing and chuckling.

"O-oh! Well... thanks? Always happy to hear a compliment on my moves. I had a lot of good practice with that move. You certainly wouldn't be the first person who wanted me to use them for bearhugging practice either!"

Oscar let out a friendly laugh at that before sighing and smiling at Matilda.

"I'd be happy to! It's pretty effective- plus easy to do. The tricky part is knowing when to use it and having the stamina to make it count. Plus if it's not me, I can introduce you to my teacher and her friends since they helped me work on Bearhugs all the time. When you're all healed up of course"

[Weonna]

"Oh really? I vould lofe to come ofer."

Matilda smiled before sitting up and telling Oscar her phone number. (Don't want to make a fake one so people could call it)

After that she would just lay down and relax after taking such an intense match with the stronger barbarian. Matilda just wanted to close her eyes and rest but before Oscar would take his leave the German woman would giggle and say.

"Hope to see you again Oscar~" she would say with a smile before turning her head away from him and finally take a nap.

Oscar went ahead and registered the phone number into his cell phone, making a mental note to call Matilda up once she was healed up. Seeing the young lady wanting to get some rest, the Barbarian Prince smiled one last time before standing up out of the chair.

"Yeah... hope you see you around, Matilda! I think you're gonna do well over here- and I look forward to training with you soon. You seem nice and I'm always down to make a friend! We trainees gotta help each other out after all!"

With that, Oscar started to take his leave. He looked back at Matilda one last time as she seemed to drift off to sleep before being kind enough to turn off the lights for her to peacefully rest.
