Yukino Fuyumi vs. Ruby Rose

When Ruby was moving as quick as she was, Yukino knew that she needed to take advantage of every second she could get. But now, in showing off to the crowd, Ruby had slowed down, and that meant the white-haired girl had time to act. If she didn't make her move now, she didn't know if she'd get another chance! She only had a few short seconds to get into position, but that was all she needed. She could see that Ruby was going for a high-flying manuever off the top ropes, but if she brought up her knees, she could knock the wind out of her - which would surely throw off her momentum enough for her to take the lead!

Sure enough, when Ruby came down with a splash, she crashed straight into Yukino's raised knees! The impact sent her toppling over to the side, sputtering and gasping for breath. And when Yukino saw that her opponent was finally down, she sat back up with a grin. She was still sore from the dropkick she'd taken, but the rush of adrenaline she got from knowing it was her moment to strike caused the pain to fade. Now, she had her chance, and she needed to take advantage of it!

Yukino rolled herself to the side, getting on top of Ruby's back. With that, she would grab her by the arms, pulling her back at the wrists. Slowly but surely, as her strength returned to her, she would get up on her knee, pressing it into the brunette's spine. If no one stopped her, she would keep pulling backward as she got up, looking to bend Ruby into a surfboard hold to keep the pressure against her back!

Ruby for lack of a better term was floored by Yukino. Just by one simple move, nothing special, just Yukino raising her knees up. All that caving in Ruby’s toned abs. Ruby’s hubris getting the better of her and Yukino was using that to its maximum. Now would be the perfect time for Yukino to try and get her opening. Ruby was nearly gasping for air trying her best to breathe something in. Not at all worrying about what Yukino was going to do. Not like she could do anything to stop it.

Taking advantage of this opening Yukino would get on Ruby’s back. Straightening her out first, grabbing Ruby by her arms and pulling her back. Gnhhh Ruby would groan in pain as Yukino was working the hold. Getting stronger and stronger, felt the hold hurting more. Suddenly she felt a knee on her spine. Arghhh Ruby grunted in pain trying to hold back any more painful reactions. Yukino locking in the surfboard hold.

Ruby struggled to get out of the hold. Trying to pull against Yukino, but not working instead it made the hold worse. If Ruby didn’t do anything quick then Yukino was going to make her submit. But if going against the hold wasn’t working. Maybe going with the hold might work. With Ruby’s legs still working and free. Ruby would bend her legs and with one quick flex and launching herself up. Ruby would shoot herself backwards following through and hopefully head butting Yukino right in the nose!

Yukino smiled to herself as she looked up from the mat, seeing where her opponent had landed. In just one simple move, she had been able to turn the momentum of the match around, and the seemingly uncapturable Ruby Rose had gone down! It gave her hope that she just might stand a chance of winning the match...but she knew that enthusiasm couldn't distract her from what was important. If she took her attention off of Ruby, she knew the brunette would make use of every opportunity to get away. She needed to keep the pressure on her!

Yukino panted for breath, trying to collect herself, but she knew she didn't have much time to spare before Ruby would get on the rebound. She picked herself up to her feet, bringing her weight down against Ruby's spine, and as she pulled back hard at her arms, she forced her body up against the fulcrum of her knee, weighing against her spine with all the force she could muster! She threw her head back in a battle cry, but her heart was beating even faster than ever. She knew she had Ruby under control now; she couldn't stop!

The white-haired girl hoped that with Ruby under control, she might be able to transition from the surfboard hold to another position - a ceiling hold, perhaps, or even her finisher, the Ice Splitter! But Ruby had other ideas - and before Yukino could act on her plans, she made her move, bringing her legs inward to draw momentum and throwing her head back into the idol's face! It all happened so quickly, Yukino could barely keep track of what was going on - until the blow hit, with enough force to throw her off her footing!

Crying out with a gasp, Yukino's hands slipped off of Ruby's wrists, and she collapsed to her back. She clutched at her face, rubbing at her nose to try and dull the pain. She knew it would be dangerous to let down her guard, but her head was spinning - and something sank in the pit of her stomach when it hit her how much she was in danger...

Ruby groaned and grunted from Yukino’s hold. Ruby’s opponent was doing a great job at keeping her tied down. Yukino likely had so many ideas of where to take Ruby from here. Knowing that all of those options wouldn’t be good for Ruby. She needed to act quick before the hold got worst. Sure Ruby lost momentum of the match off of one move. But she didn’t deserve to lose off of it right?

Getting her legs into a power position. Ruby would do what she could to drive her body upwards and headbutt Yukino in the face. Odds are that Yukino hasn’t been in many fights. So a blow to the face would definitely shock Yukino out of her hold. Ruby was right to think that as Yukino cried out letting go of Ruby. Groaning in pain Ruby would stretch her arms. Trying to get rid of the pain in her arms. Kicking herself up, Ruby would look around to try and find Yukino. Finding her opponent was fast enough. She was on her back holding her face.

Just like Yukino before who was making the most of her situation. Ruby would do the same, running up to Yukino and looking down at her. Quickly jumping up and doing a flip, hoping to pay Yukino back for the knee to her abs. Ruby was looking to stick the landing of her flip, stomping on Yukino’s stomach!

With Ruby moving as quickly as she was, it came as no surprise that this match would be full of reversals. She wasn't just quick on her feet, but with her wits, too - and she was keeping Yukino guessing! Every time the Winter Idol thought she had Ruby under control, she pulled out a counter that she couldn't see coming. Yukino thought that pulling the brunette into a surfboard hold would buy her enough time to set up her next move...but even that was a gamble, and one that didn't fall in Yukino's favor. Ruby would find a way, and when she slammed her head backward into Yukino's face, it threw the white-haired girl right off of her back!

Landing on the canvas with a thud, Yukino frantically rubbed at her face and kicked her legs. She knew she needed to get back to her senses quickly, before Ruby made her regret it. But her body was lagging a step behind - and Ruby may as well have been a step ahead! The idol looked up just in time to see her careening toward her with a running flip, and her eyes went wide in shock. With her head still ringing, there was no way she would be able to get out of danger in time. She let out a scream before Ruby had even hit her - but when her feet planted in her stomach, those cries would only get louder, as she reeled in pain, arching her back up from the mat!

Ruby was never one to talk an obscene amount of trash. Leave that to Yang or Weiss, but Ruby despite her introverted nature felt that it just came with the territory. Still in this match, Ruby somewhat felt bad about facing Yukino. Sure Ruby wasn’t some hardened veteran or a hulking beast. But you don’t need to be a professional to see an amateur. Now the difficulty was coming up with something to say to Yukino without it sounding backhanded. Be it for better or worse, Ruby would just stick to her guns and see how things land.

That being said, Ruby landed a perfect stomp onto Yukino. Even being playful as she finished as any gymnast would. With arms raised and everything, surely if people are grading signs they would have graded the landing a 9/10. Not wanting to fall into the same trappings before of playing into the crowd to much. Ruby opted to keep her offense going. Come on Ms.Idol, you know there is more to this show. Ruby said grabbing onto Yukino’s attire. Hoping that Yukino was out of it enough, Ruby would try her damndest to lift up Yukino onto her shoulders. Leaning backwards and dropping her head first in the Crimson Rose

With all the momentum of her flip behind her, Ruby had come down on top of Yukino's gut, with all the force of her blow concentrated into the sole of her boot. Against that, the white-haired girl simply didn't have a chance. She coughed and wheezed, feeling all the air in her lungs leave her body against Ruby's weight bearing down on her. She sank back into the mat, her eyes rolling back into her head as she lay flat. Yukino was in no position to fight back when Ruby bent down to haul her off the mat - and soon enough, she found herself draped over her shoulder, staring down at the canvas beneath her!

At first, Yukino let out a gasp. She knew it was a long way down, and if she landed head-first, it could well take her out of the match. Her body froze up as a tingle of fear ran down her spine. But then, Yukino remembered something. Ruby had taunted her - she was daring her to do better. Yukino was out to prove that she could be a real wrestler, and those words stirred something in her! In that instant, Yukino's eyes narrowed into a glare, and her teeth clenched in defiance. She had to show Ruby she was more than just a pretty face - she couldn't let this hit!

Yukino shuddered as she felt Ruby tip back beneath her, threatening to drive her skull into the mat. But as she did, Yukino swung her legs downward, trying to get them around Ruby's waist. If that worked, she would swing herself forward, trying to get her head between Ruby's thighs, where she would then attempt to roll with her own momentum to flip Ruby over, bringing her into the mat with a victory roll!

Ruby had all of the momentum behind her in this match. Sure Yukino had some cute things to show, but for the most part Ruby was the veteran here. Which is not something she could say very often. Feels weird despite it not being an age thing. More or less Ruby was hoping to light a fire inside of Yukino. She didn’t seem like a bad person. Far from it, but it just felt like she needed a push. Subconsciously Ruby wanted to bring something out. Whether or not something would come out was up to Yukino in all honesty.

By no means was Ruby a powerhouse of a wrestler. Luckily between Yukino and Ruby there was not that much of a weight difference. Making matters easier enough, Ruby lifted Yukino without much of an issue. Now the plan was to spike Yukino on her head. Odds are with this move landing, the match would end. Hopefully Yukino could use this match as a lesson going forward. Hell, Ruby would even be willing to help Yukino out.

Just as about Ruby was going to end this match, Yukino showed some signs of life. Ruby not being strong enough couldn’t quell Yukino’s struggling. So once Yukino swung her legs downwards, there was little Ruby could do about it. Even less about Yukino herself going forward and putting her head between Ruby’s thighs. With all of this new found momentum, Ruby was hardly big enough to stop it herself. So Yukino flipped Ruby over, slamming her onto the mat with the victory roll!

Ngh…What was that… Ruby let out in between her groans in pain. Now essentially folded over at the hands of Yukino.

Yukino hadn't fared the best in this match so far. Ruby had a massive leg up on her in terms of speed, and the Winter Idol struggled to keep up with just how mobile her opponent was. It was hard for her to stay abreast of Ruby's attacks when they were coming in faster than she could keep track of! A part of Yukino shuddered when she thought of it - she was barely getting started in the wrestling business, this was one of her first matches, and not only was she having so hard of a time, it was when she was facing a fellow rookie. If she was going to lose so easily to Ruby, she began to fear that she might not have any hope of taking her career further than this. How could she expect to contend with more seasoned wrestlers?

But just as much as that thought struck dread into Yukino, it also inspired her to fight back. She didn't want this to prove everyone's fears, that she really was just another famous idol getting a shot at wrestling by virtue of having a recognizable name. She would do whatever she needed to in order to ensure that wouldn't happen! When Ruby lifted her up for the Crimson Rose, Yukino let out a gasp - she knew that if this hit, and if she landed on her head, there was no chance that she was going to get back up. But it was what Ruby told her then that changed something in Yukino. She told her there was more to wrestling - and that Yukino knew it. Even she believed the Winter Idol had more in her than this. And if that was the case...then Yukino had made up her mind. It might have been a daunting thought, and she might have been scared - but she wasn't going to let herself lose! She needed to turn this around!

Ducking back, the idol rolled herself over Ruby's shoulders just before she could be hurled to the ground, slamming the brunette head-first into the mat instead! At the sight of such a daring reversal from Yukino, the crowd went wild - the fans burst into cheers, clapping and jumping up from their seats. She had just proven that she had a chance of winning this match yet! Yukino got her hands and knees under her, starting to lift herself up from the mat. She panted under her breath, shaking herself to try and stir herself back to her senses. The world was still a blur, and she could still feel a cold sweat run down the back of her neck; she had just come far too close to defeat for her liking. But when she looked over and saw that Ruby had gone down, and that the fans were cheering for her, she still smiled! It meant she did have a chance, after all - and she was going to keep that dream alive!

Yukino wouldn't waste an opportunity. She saw that Ruby was down - and she was going to move in to capitalize on that, as she lunged forward, using whatever energy she had to propel herself on top of her foe. If she could land there, she would grab for Ruby's leg and hook it for a pin, hoping that she'd be winded enough in her landing to keep her down!

Ruby looked great for the most part in this match. For once Ruby was the one with experience and Yukino was the rookie. Despite them both being new. Still it was plain as day that Ruby was a fighter and she knew what to do. Yukino was the one trying to fight what people thought about her. The idol that couldn’t wrestle, now she was just on the verge of winning that match! Sure if Yukino were up against anyone more experienced and tougher, Yukino would’ve looked like a jobber. But with Ruby she was able to showcase her skill in full.

Taking the victory roll move was rough. It was like everything was being turned against her, just for Yukino to make the most of it. Ruby’s ears were filled with this deafening ringing. That’s what landing on your head does for you. Ruby looked around, but only found the ring lights above her. It was like she was under the needle with how bright they were. Ruby knew she was in the ring, but it was about getting her focus together. Yukino though was going to make the most of this chance she made for herself. Getting over Ruby and pinning her. That was the first shock.

Ruby would spring forward with life and kick out with barely any time left. Any more waiting and she would’ve lost and been pinned. Pushing Yukino off of her, Ruby groaned as she rolled to her side. Grabbing onto the ropes to slowly get herself up. No way in hell Ruby was going to lose now, not like this.
