Starting Over: An Encounter Between Helen and Christina

Continued from Facing the Music: Christina Perez vs. Helen Andronike

Helen

Helen Andronike stormed to the back after her devastating loss to her rival Christina Perez. He had faced Christina in a submission match. Despite almost having the win, Christina countered and made her submit to a rear naked choke. And this was after Christina had choked Helen out in a secret backstage confrontation before the match. Helen was coming to terms with the fact that her rival won. Her prior victory was a fluke that Christina gave her, and the Filipina was the better woman. Helen made it to the locker room and looked at herself in the mirror. "What am I doing here?" she asked herself. She was tearing up when she heard the locker room door open. Helen turned on the faucet and quickly washed her face to cover up her tears.

Christina was searching everywhere for Helen after there submission match. She had just followed the Greek woman all the way to the locker room. However instead of going inside the locker room the Filipina woman would sigh and let Helen have a moment to herself. Christina was contemplating what to say...obviously she wanted to cheer Helen up and didn't want to come off as a bitch and after some time Christina took another breath and decided to open the door slowly to confront Helen.

"Umm...Helen?" Christina would slowly close the door and approach her rival with caution.

"Are you ok? I know this is a bad time but...I just wanted to talk..." Christina's voice sounded rather soft spoken when trying to talk to the Spartan.

Helen heard Christina calling to her. She was exhausted and didn't have the energy for a fight. "Oh hey Christina. You won. Good job. What are you doing here?" she remained facing the sink half staring at the mirror and half staring down. Her voice sounded defeated, like Helen herself was.

Christina could hear and feel the Defeated tone and mood that Helen was in. The Filipina would move in closely and wrap her arms around Helen's waist and embrace her from behind.

"I'm sorry Helen...Truly I am...I know it's not enough to say sorry but please don't give up on wrestling...your the best rival I could ever have..." Christina tried to comfort the Spartan woman before trying to gently grab her arm.

"Why don't we sit down?" Christina tried to lead Helen to the bench so the two could talk to each other better.

Helen felt Christina’s warm embrace from behind, and not just because they were both still hot after wrestling a match. The dam broke and Helen turned around and tearfully hugged Christina when she heard what the Filipina had to say. After a long embrace Helen followed Christina’s lead and sat down to talk with a women not a few months ago she hated. “What the fuck am I doing here? I came here because the man I loved was coming here and I wanted to share in his passion. Now I just don’t know…”

Christina would pat Helen on the shoulder before reaching out to hug her former rival tighter just so Helen could cry on her shoulder.

"I know things are hard for you now Helen...but hey...you still have Alanna...and you still have me. I know we didn't start off in the right track but I'm willing to start over with you. I know you can persevere through this..."

Helen pondered what Christina said. ”Damn. Some time in the motherland really did change you,” she chuckled through the tears. Helen took Christina’s hand. ”You’re right. The people I’ve met have been great. You, Emma, Alanna, Hiro… wrestling you has been amazing. I don’t know if wrestling was something I wanted because Alexios wanted it… or if I truly want it for myself. I don’t know what I really want, nor do I have any sort of direction anymore. I just don’t know and it kills me.”

"Hey...aren't you suppose to be a Spartan? The helmet, the big ass shield and the spear thing...I thought Spartans don't cry! Come on Helen...wipe those tears off your face and look at me.. you want a direction? Well here is the direction....I'm right in front of you~ you think your gonna let someone like me beat you? You should stand right up right now and bash me in the face like the warrior you are!" Christina had risen up to her feet and tried to encourage Helen with a smile.

"Does this make you want to beat me? Do you think I'm done with you yet? Of course not~ you wanna know something Helen? I'm looking to wrestle and get to the top of the Middleweight division...are you gonna just sit there and watch me get all the glory? Cause if I do I will rub that belt all over your face! Are you gonna let that happen!? Are ya!? ARE YA!?"

Helen perked up as she listened to Christina’s speech. She stood up and regarded Christina incredulously. Christina’s egging worked and Helen slapped the Filipina when she was finished. ”I will not stand idly by as you run roughshod over LAW.” Helen pressed her forehead against Christina’s and stared her down.

Christina would stare down at Helen for a brief while with the Filipina's own intimidating look.

"That's the spirit~ that's the Helen I know~" Christina would smile and give the Spartan a friendly hug.

"If you ever need anything...I'm here for you ya know...we can still be Rivals, but...if you ever need help with anything...I got your back..." Christina would offer a hand for Helen to shake.

"Let's shake on it."
