It's working, it's working, oh my goodness it's actually working, thought Mikan as her fake heart stoppage had the medics swarming her. She had been absolutely terrified when Tae had bent down towards her. Either she had realized Mikan's ploy, or just didn't care and would keep beating on her anyway. But that didn't happen. Tae just said something that didn't even register with Mikan's overclocked brain. Something or other about sinuses, who cared? She was walking away from the nurse.

And so, Mikan, passable actress that she was, managed to time her resuscitation well enough to both not look suspicious and avoid any defibrillators from getting pulled out. As well as making use of her own medical expertise to wake up correctly, and have accurate post awakening response for someone who had actually just been resuscitated via CPR.

The medics carried Mikan out of the ring, opposite the side Tae was leaving on. Naturally they had to run more tests to ensure Mikan was truly alright. But now that the nurse was "back" to normal she didn't think that nothing showing up would be overly suspicious. But frankly, it didn't even matter if it was. No matter what, it was over. The match was over, and Tae couldn't hurt Mikan anymore. And if LAW found out and tried to punish her by putting her back in the ring with that crazy doctor, Mikan would just retire on the spot. No question. She was never fighting that woman again.
