Match Type: Standard Match Rules: Victory by pinfall, submission, or knockout

Sitting backstage in the locker rooms, Yukino anxiously shuffled her feet, holding tightly to the edge of her bench in order to try and calm her nerves. It was only her second match in LAW, and even though her first had gone far better than anyone could have possibly imagined for an idol competing in her first real wrestling match ever, it was still hard to shake the nervous energy. What made it worse was that Nashi wasn't here. If she had her best friend at her side, to reassure her and cheer her on, Yukino was sure she wouldn't feel half as nervous as she did now...though that would still be pretty nervous. But if they wanted to succeed as wrestlers, they couldn't rely on each other all the time - they both knew that. Nashi had already wrestled a few matches without Yukino, and the white-haired girl would need to get herself used to doing the same, if she was to break herself in to the competition.
And above all else...Yukino had promised that she was going to reach for new heights in bringing her fame and popularity to the world of wrestling. She wasn't just going to let herself get by on a pretty face and a recognizable name. Yukino needed to prove she belonged in the ring. And she turned her face to the ceiling, clenching a fist to steel her nerves, as she reminded herself that she needed to do this for Nashi's sake - to make her proud!
"Coming first to the ring, from Tokyo, Japan! At 5'2 and 124 pounds, the Winter Idol, YUKINO FUYUMI!!!" Spoiler
As Yukino's music began to play, the crowd had already begun to cheer - and Yukino was eager to meet those cheers with a smile on her face as she stepped out onto the entrance ramp, waving her hand. She knew that most of the cheers she got came from the fans who recognized her from her idol days rather than her in-ring work, given that she was still unproven and had only one match and no victories to her name. But some day, she thought, she would change that.
She did feel a little bit silly proceeding down the ramp in her idol outfit; she still hadn't had time to put together anything new. But she kept a smile on her face regardless, and she slapped as many high-fives as she could as she passed by fans clamboring to get closer to her. When Yukino finally came to the ring, she stepped up onto the apron before slipping through the ropes, heading to her corner and doing a few stretches to warm up.
Nashi was sleeping in late by accident. She lost track of time and woke up she got a reminder on her phone saying it’s time for Yukino’s Match!!! She quickly rushed and put on her idol outfit and rushed to the arena, thankfully she grabbed a cab and got to the stadium in just the nick of time!
After Yukino’s entrance, Nashi ran across the backstageIm sorry, coming through! she said going pass some of the workers, soon the fiery idol made her way down the ramp. She smiled and waved to the audience before going Yukino’s corner “Think I’d miss this?” the pink haired girl gave her best friend a thumbs up waiting Yukino’s opponent to show up.
Yukino was ready to go it alone if she had to. Obviously, she would prefer having Nashi in her corner, but she knew she had to be ready for anything, and if it meant throwing herself straight into the fire to prove she could handle herself as a wrestler, she would do it. But as it turned out, that wouldn't be necessary. Just like Yukino had gone out of her way to be present at Nashi's match against Janella Johnson, Nashi was prepared to return the favor. Soon enough, Yukino could hear her calling out to her. And as soon as she heard that voice, she turned to face her with a gasp. She'd know that voice anywhere!
"Nashi!! You really came!" She waved her hand eagerly, beckoning Nashi closer. "I knew you'd come through..." She stood taller and smiled wider. Now that she had Nashi at her side, Yukino felt all the more assured that she could win this match; the two of them had always been able to achieve greatness as long as they stayed together. But now that she knew Nashi was watching, she was all the more encouraged to give it everything she had, so that she could see how far she'd come as a wrestler! Somehow, whatever challenge lay ahead of her didn't feel so bad!
Hopping up and down backstage in the locker rooms, Ruby was amped up for her match tonight. She would be going up against an idol, and from what Ruby was told one of the nicer ones. It felt more rare to get a match with someone nice, as opposed to someone who wanted to take Ruby’s head off. Outside of name and other stats that Weiss gave her Ruby didn’t know much about her opponent. Ruby figured she would have to pick these things up as the match goes on. The stage hands would tell Ruby that it’d be time to make her entrance soon. That must’ve meant that her opponent made her entrance already.
Just leaving the locker room Ruby could hear the cheers. God she could only imagine how loud it is in the ring. Wait if those are all cheers…God why do I feel like I am going to be the bad guy tonight… Ruby sighed, she might be put in a role she never wanted to be in to begin with. Shaking things off, Ruby was still ready to show out. It wasn’t like some deafening cheers were going to stop her… Not at all.
Next coming to the ring, at 5’4 and 119 pounds, blink and you might miss it. The SILVER BULLET RUBY ROSE!!! Spoiler
Once Ruby had her music playing, Ruby would explode from back stage. Flipping onto the main stage and going from the left to right side waving at her crowd. Thankfully the reception was good, not as good as Yukino but Ruby was okay with that. At least they weren’t boos. Idol or not Ruby was not going to let this be the an easy match. Ruby respected everyone who got into the ring, and it wouldn’t be right to think Yukino as some sort of jobber.
Sprinting down the ramp, Ruby speeded past everyone and reach the ring in almost record time. Just showing off, Ruby would jump high in between the middle and top ropes. Rolling in to cover her landing, Ruby would pop back up to give everyone something else to pop for. Ruby figured that if she was going up against an Idol then she would need to show off a bit herself. Going towards a nearby corner, Ruby would climb it and do some light flexing for the crowd. Finishing things off with a backflip and perfect landing. Now would be the time she could get a good look at her opponent.
Nothing of notice stood out to Ruby. Not wanting to write things off Ruby still kept her suspicions in case Yukino was hiding something. That didn’t seem to be all though Yukino seemed to have someone with her. Ruby would have to make some mental note of that, since it wouldn’t be uncommon for Yukino’s friend to try something. Still being the kind girl that she is, Ruby would extend her arm out in respect to fair sportsmanship. Lets have fun and keep this clean, let the better wrestler win! Ruby said proudly enough to let Yukino know who Ruby thought was going to win. Surely the bell was just mere moments from ringing now. Spoiler
When the announcer proclaimed Yukino's opponent to be a silver bullet, the Winter Idol guessed that her greatest asset would be her speed. And when Ruby made her way to the ring, Yukino wasn't disappointed. In fact, it surpassed her wildest expectations! Even when she knew what to anticipate, Ruby still amazed her with how she could move! Yukino's jaw dropped open with a gasp when she saw her race down to the ring in a blink of an eye, and launching herself into the ring over the ropes with an acrobatic flourish. Already, Yukino was worried about what she was up against, and she took in a gulp. How was she expected to stand up to an opponent she couldn't even catch?
"U-Uh...I don't know if I like this, Nashi-" she whispered to her friend - but when she heard Ruby speak up, Yukino spun back around to face her, clearing her throat. "R-Right! Of course!" she blurted out, nervously laughing off her thoughts. She knew she couldn't make excuses any more. If Ruby had entered the ring, the match was going to start, whether Yukino was ready or not!
Clearing her throat, she put on the bravest face she could manage before stepping closer to meet Ruby at the center of the ring and taking her hand for a shake. "Mhm!" she said, meeting the dark-haired girl with a smile. At the least, Ruby seemed friendly enough, so Yukino could be sure she wouldn't do anything out of control. "I'm gonna give it my very best!"
*DING DING DING*
Yukino lowered herself into a stance as soon as the bell rang. Her mind was racing trying to think of ways she could respond to Ruby's skillset. Right away, she knew that in order to counteract her opponent's speed, she would need to try and keep her locked down as much as she could, to limit where she could run off to. The problem would be holding on long enough in the first place - but if Yukino was careful enough, she could get that advantage she needed right from the get-go! While the two girls were still in close range, Yukino would attempt to reach out and grab Ruby by the arm, where she would then go to circle behind her, pulling her arm along for a hammerlock to keep it pinned down!

Ruby looked to dazzle and impress with her entrance. Safe to say that if it got to her opponent, then Ruby definitely got everyone else. It might’ve bad to show some of her cards this early. But Ruby would have to deal with those consequences later. Idol or not, Ruby was going to treat her opponent Yukino like anyone else. Whether or not the crowd agreed with that treatment remained to be seen. Now Yukino had something to look out for, Ruby’s speed. Yet knowing about it and being able to do something about it are two different things.
It seemed like Ruby interrupted some conversation between Yukino and her friend. Bringing Yukino’s mind back into the ring. Ruby was not one to go for a cheap start. At least this way it was a warning without it really being a warning. Yukino had a brave face on, but you didn’t need to be an expert to see that Yukino was still nervous about things. Taking Ruby’s hand for a handshake, Yukino would respond by giving it her best. Something Ruby liked to hear, now everything was shaping up to make this a fun match.
Now that the bell rang, Ruby lowered into a grappling stance. Ruby knew what the weaknesses were against her. Naturally she would have to adapt and react to things as they came. Before Ruby could get things started, Yukino would grab onto Ruby’s arm and pull it around her. Ngh Ruby would grunt from the hammerlock, which was obviously meant to keep her in one spot. Still Ruby had so many other options available to her. Using her other arm, Ruby would swing it back trying to nail rough elbows to Yukino’s stomach. Odds are that she wasn’t very physically durable so the elbows would do good damage if they landed.
If the elbows were to land the fun part starts with Ruby spinning around. This way her arm wasn’t being used against her. Still keeping a hold of Yukino, Ruby would grab onto her opponent with the other arm and throw Yukino to the ropes. If all of this worked, Ruby would run opposite to Yukino. Bouncing off of the ropes to gain extra speed. Yukino would likely do the same, and once they were on a crash course for each other. Ruby would jump up, bringing her entire body up with her. Hoping to land a missile drop kick to Yukino’s face!
In some ways, Ruby had the edge on Yukino. No one could deny that the white-haired girl would struggle to keep up with her agility, and Ruby likely had more in the way of experience as well, compared to her opponent, who was still getting to know her way around the ring. But those watching with keen eyes would note that Yukino held the advantage over Ruby when it came to her size. If she could keep a hold on her foe, she might be able to keep her weighed down, counteracting her mobility - after all, Ruby couldn't outpace Yukino if she didn't get a chance to move at all! It would all come down to a matter of whose advantage could overtake whose...
But, as much as Yukino fought to keep a hold on Ruby, her early edge wouldn't last for long. Ruby began swinging her elbow behind her, catching Yukino in the stomach, ribs, and chest, and each time her blows hit, the Winter Idol stumbled forward with a groan. "Ow! Ow, hey..! Watch it!" And each time, her grip was beginning to slacken little by little - until the point came where Ruby was able to yank on Yukino's arm to whip her clean across the ring, into the ropes!
"W-WHOOOOAH!!" Yukino went running faster than she could keep track of, flailing her arms in the air to try and steady herself. She'd learned about running the ropes during her training, but it wouldn't prepare her for having to think on her feet in the heat of a real match, one where the stakes were that much higher when she couldn't count on her opponent to be as friendly as Nashi. She crashed into the ropes on the other side of the ring, doubling over them as the air was knocked out of her lungs - but then she was shot backward, racing straight toward Ruby!
Her eyes opened wide, and her mouth dropped in a gasp when she saw the brunette's feet flying straight for her face, the soles of her boots growing nearer and nearer. She tried to duck down, but she could hardly control her own body. It was too late- Ruby's feet planted into Yukino's face with a thud, throwing her onto her back. There, she lay groaning, rubbing at her face to try and dull the sensation. But what was worse was the fact that Yukino was down against an opponent who could run circles around her...
Wouldn’t be often where Ruby was up against someone she had more experience than. With this advantage though, Ruby was absolutely going to make the most of it. Coupling that with her obvious speed and possibly other greater physical attributes. It was going to make this a up hill battle for Yukino. At least Yukino was smart of enough to pick on Ruby’s weakness. You didn’t have to be a rocket scientist to know that if you lock Ruby down. Then her speed is a none factor.
That being said, it wasn’t like that Ruby didn’t have counters to her weaknesses. Especially now that Yukino was so close to Ruby. Yukino couldn’t keep a hold on Ruby and defend herself. So Ruby got very good mileage on the elbows she shot at Yukino. Slowly but surely getting that grip to loosen. Just enough so that Ruby can start her own offense. The first step was a common one. Which was yanking her opponent to the ropes.
Not wasting to much time, Ruby knew that she set them both on a collision course. Ruby was going to make the most of this as she shot her body up. Looking to aim her feet right at Yukino’s face and landing her missile dropkick. Taking Yukino down and herself as a byproduct. Yukino’s body shot down with the dropkick, definitely showing off how hard the move hit her. Leaving her writhing in pain as she rubbed her face. Ruby on the other hand wasn’t done with Yukino.
Kipping herself up, Ruby would rise up quick and proud. Raising an arm and letting the audience cheer from that pop. Now was the second part to Ruby’s offense. Keeping things fast and loose, Ruby was going to impress and show out. Not because she was disrespecting Yukino. That was just her style.
Running to the ropes that Yukino ran towards herself. Ruby would jump onto the middle rope and use that rope as a springboard. Using it to get extra height when Ruby would jump backwards and flip through the air. Hoping that she could land this extra cool splash on Yukino who was writhing in pain from the dropkick before.
Yukino knew Ruby's speed was a double-edged sword. As long as she was free to move, she would out-manuever the white-haired girl at every turn. But that speed meant nothing as long as Yukino could keep her still. As long as she could maintain a steady grip on Ruby, she would be helpless. But Ruby knew that too - and she would make sure that actually keeping that hold on her was easier said than done!
Little by little, Yukino felt her grip slip away. And then, before she had time to adjust, before she could catch Ruby in another hold, she was suddenly slung straight across the ring! Ruby's high-speed, constant-motion style wasn't just limited to herself - she was keeping Yukino herself moving too fast for her to adjust, too! The Winter Idol could hardly keep the pace of her opponent. If Ruby had merely shaken her off, that would have been one thing. But when she whipped her from one side of the ring to the other, Yukino didn't have time to adapt to one move before she was hit by the next. She certainly didn't have time to prepare for Ruby to hit her with a missile dropkick, flinging her off her feet. And she barely had any time to get used to that before Ruby went for the ropes behind her, shooting herself high into the air to prepare her next move!
Panting for breath and tossing her head back and forth, Yukino stirred to her senses just in time to look up at the sight of Ruby plummeting through the air, about to crash into her! She let out a yelp, jolting from the shock. However, something else occurred to her. The breakneck pace of Ruby's offense had, in fact, slowed - when she had busied herself with playing to the crowd, that gave Yukino a few more seconds to recover, and now, when she caught her breath, it was in those few split-seconds before Ruby landed! The crowd was cheering even louder at the brunette's acrobatic feats, but in the end, those few seconds could mean the difference between disaster and success!
Yukino knew she wouldn't have time to do much more - but she could at least do something. As Ruby was about to come down on top of her, she would suddenly try to lift her knees off the mat, hoping that her foe would crash onto them instead!
Ruby and Yukino were playing a game of cat and mouse. Where if Ruby was caught she couldn’t do what was needed. At the same time, Ruby could do whatever she wanted if she wasn’t caught. But since both of them were working against each other. Both wrestlers would need to find ways around each other. To be able to get any type of offense off.
Luckily Ruby didn’t need to worry about anything specific when it came to Yukino. So Ruby could just focus on one aspect of her wrestling. Ruby could tell that Yukino was having a hard enough time as is to keep up. The throw to the ropes and the missile dropkick said enough. Ruby though made the mistake of playing to the crowd. This just gave Yukino more time to recover. Not that Ruby knew it at the time, but now that it was time for her to continue her offense. Using the ropes like some sort of springboard and using them to leap high into the air to land on Yukino.
Just as Ruby was flipping through the air. Looking to land her style rose. Ruby’s eyes widened when she noticed that Yukino brought up her knees. God Ruby knew what was coming, it was just a matter of preparing for it. Tensing her abs as quick as she could. Ruby crashed onto Yukino’s knees. GAH!! Ruby let out loudly, gasping for air as she could feel her stomach caving in. Bouncing right off of Yukino, Ruby held onto her stomach rolling around in pain. Trying her best to get some type of breath in. If Yukino was looking for any time to seize an opportunity. This would be the perfect time for Yukino, now that Ruby was not moving at the moment.
