Cheryl Williams vs Megumi Mutoh - Apex Qualifier Match

Cheryl had the cattle mutilation on perfectly, but despite Megumi's screaming she didn't submit. Cheryl couldn't pull on the hold any harder without eventually slipping up or making it easier for Megumi to break out. This was not an easy thing to hold due to the way she was placed making her head dizzy and her neck sore, and with Megumi trying to tough it out all Cheryl could do was hold it until she had to stop before she compromised the hold, a minute and 20 seconds after she locked it in. Cheryl could only sit up and prepare to do something else while she had the chance.

"Is this the kind of endurance I need to be a star?" Cheryl pondered. Megumi was not going to be beaten like this, but she was clearly hurt so if Cheryl wanted to win she had to continue this attack. Grabbing Megumi's good arm to pull her up and forcing her close so that she could pull her into a full nelson to keep Megumi close and began shaking her around.

Megumi was no Chigusa in terms of endurance, but she had gone through something much worse than this. Eventually, Cheryl released her from the cattle mutilation, and Megumi panted, trying her best to recover after being freed from the hold. Of course, the cheerleader wasn't going to give her a rest as she pulled her up and put her in a full nelson.

"Nnngghhhh..." Grimacing in pain as she was being subjected to the full nelson, Megumi's bust was pushed forward as she started to feel the strain around her shoulders and neck. She started struggling, hoping to get herself out of this predicament before her endurance ran out. After all, she still had her own limit on how much she could take here.

Cheryl's hold was tight but she began to wish she had Amber's power. If she was a bit stronger she thought that the moves she had hit Megumi with might have put the brunette down already. She also wouldn't feel in trouble with how Megumi was fighting against her full nelson, pulling against Cheryl to try to force herself free while Cheryl was fighting to keep her there. Eventually Cheryl would let her out with both arms but she would push Megumi towards the ropes so she would come close and allow the confident puncher to come right at her.

Cheryl would turn away from Megumi and hoped that she would bounce off the ropes and come back would do the same on the other side of the ring. What Cheryl did as well was jump and land on her hands when she bounced off the ropes, using the momentum to spin and jump right back at Megumi so she could jump and go for a big heel kick once Megumi came back to the middle.

Megumi kept enduring the full nelson, gritting her teeth as she would muster her endurance to outlast it. Eventually, Cheryl let go of her from the hold before she was pushed towards the ropes. Following the motion, Megumi ran towards the ropes, rebounding from there and returning back to where she came from. At the same time, the cheerleader went to the opposite ropes, no doubt preparing to launch her own attack.

When she came back to the center of the ring, Megumi would prepare herself despite her body still feeling sore. When she saw Cheryl trying to hit her with a big heel kick, Megumi would duck, avoiding the attack. Now having her body lowered, she would then launch herself towards the cheerleader while she was still on one foot, looking to tackle her down onto the mat, getting herself on top of her.

Cheryl prepared herself for Megumi to come rushing back at her, open to attack and hoping that she would be unable to stop or change directions while Cheryl would come in and knock her back down with the hell kick. Megumi didn't have to do either and instead would just fall to avoid the move while Cheryl would sail right over her. Cheryl stopped herself mid spin and tried to adjust her position but Megumi was already back on her, tackling her to the ground.

"Gaagh!" Cheryl groaned falling backwards and forced to the mat with a hard thud and a mash of bodies with Megumi still on top of her. Cheryl felt surprised and panicked, while she could still fight on her back Megumi was flattening her at the moment, she would try to back up but she knew Megumi wasn't going to let her get away without a fight.

Successfully tackling Cheryl down after avoiding her attack earlier, Megumi would get herself on top of the cheerleader, sitting on her body and looking down on her face. Megumi would then grab the cheerleader's head with one hand before she went ahead to hit her with forearm smashes to her face a few times in order to disorient her.

After that, Megumi would pick herself up, pulling Cheryl with her. From there, Megumi would make sure that Cheryl was doubling over before her so that she could stuff her head between her thighs. Then, she would wrap her arms around her waist before holding her body upside down. Once the set up was complete, she would drive her head first into the mat with a piledriver!

Cheryl had been surprised by Megumi's durability after controlling the match this far, and now she had something else to be surprised by when Megumi's resistance came back to bite her in the form of a forearm to her face. "Aggk!" Cheryl gasped, the fore arm digging into her skull and making her head bounce. How Megumi still had this much power in her arms when Cheryl had worked and overextended the muscles for most of the match, only to fee her throw it at full power and bang up her head like she was playing with a maraca.

"Gagnh! Nggugh!" Cheryl groaned as more forearms hit her head again mashing her face into the mat with Megumi staying on top of her. After she was done Cheryl was too stunned to resist when Megumi finally got off her and would start to pull her up, lifting her upside down while Cheryl could only moan and brace for the drop that followed shortly afterwards. "Ouughhh!" Cheryl screamed, the pain was gone in an instant once her body went numb and she fell over, only to come back again while she was laying down. Her neck felt just as bad as her head with painful tingling going all across the back of it, one painful but effective move for Megumi.

Dropping Cheryl head first into the mat with the piledriver, Megumi let go of her and let her fall down onto the mat. Breathing hard as she looked at the cheerleader, she thought that she might as well bring this match to an end. Grabbing Cheryl by her arms, she would then drag her a bit closer to a turnbuckle before she went ahead to climb it up.

Once she was at the top of the turnbuckle, she looked at the direction of the cheerleader so that she knew where she was. From there, Megumi would take a deep breath before she leaped up into the air to perform a moonsault, doing a perfect rotation in the air before landing right on top of her, hoping to knock the last bit of fight left in her before going for a pinfall attempt.

After a piledriver like that, Cheryl had no idea where she was or what was going on anymore. Her head was a scattered mess that she was left to slowly piece together while Megumi had decided to go for something that she hoped to end the match. Cheryl didn't move while Megumi slowly got above the ropes, looming over Cheryl so that she can jump through the air and bring herself down with a moonsault on top of Cheryl.

"Aaagghh!" Cheryl groaned, her chest flattened by the moonsault and with it, her air was taken from her. Megumi was able to easily stay on top of her and set up a pin on the now tired Cheryl who didn't move while the ref moved in to count the pin.

Hitting Cheryl with a moonsault, Megumi then went for the pin, hooking one of her legs while putting herself on top of her. Looking at the cheerleader's face, Megumi listened to the referee doing the counts, and she was hoping that this would be the end of this match. Cheryl had proven herself to be a capable opponent, but in the end, the one who would stand triumphant and victorious would be Megumi Mutoh.
