Senji's eyes were downcast in thought, mainly focusing on what Huan had told him earlier on by a date of roughly 2 weeks before his debut match. He then was brought to his fortunate present by the snapping of fingers in the room meant for preparation a short time before a match. He pursed his lips, looking up at his sibling.
"I'm sorry. I was...miles away."
The elder one, now at 23, opened his mouth to speak as he finished reapplying the bandages around his middle. The total shots taken were enough to bruise the flesh before you reached the ribs. It'd do him well to take it easy on his core despite its strength retaining the ability to perform. Senji was fairly silent, not knowing what to say exactly. They'd not talked to each other much. The last notable time was where they ended on tense terms around 2 years ago. Hiroyuki seemed happy to see him again, especially since they'd be convening under the same promotion.
"----That's fine. Take it easy on your abdominals. I'd prefer you to rest, luckily you don't need painkillers. I will take care of you if need be but don't do anything harmful to yourself."
Senji took a moment to look him in the eyes and shake his head vertically. He got off his set and set his left arm across his body before curling his right arm to begin limbering it up. After that, he turned his attention to grasping the nearby red-and-black long-sleeved rash guard and pulling it over his head to cover the dressing. Unfortunately, Hiro wouldn't be able to watch since he needed to remain on standby should any other fighters need assistance with their various injuries. That done, Senji quickly went to stride out of the room and into the entrance area. Similar to the last session, Senji's ankles and hands were bare of any coverings. That was to be expected given the nature of the match.
It was a fair amount more familiar to him. It reminded him of No Gi and Gi practice, but more sociable in nature. Though, he found himself preferring the privacy the previously mentioned methods anyway. That done, he now continued to walk past the glass that surrounded himself to the sound of energetic guitars and lengthy chorus' given time to breathe. Not a bad choice.
``Alt. Entrance``
Soon enough, the young fighter found himself opposing Haru in a best of 3 match. The mat was definitely smaller than the usual ring, he was sure of it. The seconds ticked on...as the atmosphere washed over him. Geun Haru. Huan hadn't mentioned her before according to his memory. Still, Senji visibly looked her up and down from head to toe. Fit and athletic, meant for grappling then? Senji needed to await the bell or referee to actually get a read on her style even if strikes weren't allowed.
