Filling in on the Philippines

Christina had just made her appearance after a month away from L.A.W. She had appeared at the end of Helen's match against her striking coach and teammate Hiro Takahashi (as seen at the end of this previous thread).

While she was making her way backstage, after revealing herself to her arch-rival Helen Andronike, the two would agree on a match next week and Christina was walking around with a smile on her face. She actually missed wrestling and was excited for next week knowing she has a chance to beat up Helen. Unknowingly to the Filipina she was being followed by an interviewer who wanted to have a talk with her. Christina would keep walking before turning around to see who was following her.

Oliver Kemo followed Christina from behind. He couldn’t help but stare at her new ring gear, much less her in general. He just got a job with LAW as an English language interviewer and this was his first one. He didn’t want to mess it up. He had come up with a list of questions on index cards and was going through them when he saw Christina walk away from the gorilla position. He signaled the cameraman and took off after her.

”Hello Christina! Do you have a moment? I have a few questions for you,” he called out as he came up behind her.

[Weonna]

Christina turned to see two men following behind her who was asking if she had a moment of her time. The Filipina beauty would smile sweetly at both men who approached her and looked as if they wanted to do an interview with her, which Christina didn't mind at all.

"Why yes I do have some time to spare what would you like to ask me?" She places her hands on her hips and winked at the camera guy before turning her head back to the man who wanted to ask her questions.

“Christina Perez. Well first I’d like to say welcome back to LAW. Could you tell the audie-the LAW Universe where you’ve been?

Oliver kicked himself for forgetting management’s preferred term.

[Weonna]

"Oh sure~ well I've been in the Philippines for a month with my family. I decided to take a small vacation and get my mind off of Wrestling. I had a lot fun~ I went to my mother's old home in Rosario, did a lot of sightseeing, and mostly partied in Manilla~ " Christina giggled and looked at the interviewer. She could tell this was his first time so she placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled at him sweetly trying to get his confidence up.

Oliver perked up at her friendly gesture. ”Sounds like a wonderful time to recharge. I have to ask what’s been on everyone’s mind. What inspired the outfit change? Are we seeing a new You?”

[Weonna]

"Well what inspired the outfit change was my mother~ we were shopping for new swimsuits to go for the pool party and she saw this leotard and told me if I ever go back to my work I should wear this. At first I was skeptical with the idea but my mother told me what's wrong about wanting to represent your country, Culture, and heritage? Are you proud to be Filipino? I remember looking down thinking about it and smiled at her and said yeah I am proud since there aren't that many Filipino or Filipina wrestlers in L.A.W. I should be wanting to inspire more of my people to become wrestlers like me~. Right now you are seeing a new me~ the best version of me. I know I rubbed people the wrong way but now I'm here to show what hard work and dedication looks like. When I return back to the ring next week I want people to see how far I changed and how much I evolved. I spent a couple weeks trying to get back in shape and now I feel great~."

Oliver couldn’t help but beam at her answer. ”Your transformation is simply stunning. A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one. What’s next for Christina Perez?”

"The goal is still the same~ make my way to the top and compete for the middleweight title~ I'm still very young so I have a lot of years in me to try and make it happen~" Christina answered with a confident smile.

Oliver briefly paused to decide how to ask his next question. ”You came back to confront your longtime rival, the Goddess of Wrestling Helen Andronike. It seems there’s some unfinished business between you two. Could you shed some light on rhe allegations you and Hiro made about your last match with her?”
