Timeframe: One Week after Previous Session (Huan Brightspring)

Senji had found himself in one of the many gyms sprinkled throughout Leviathan's facilities. In that time, he'd be reuniting with Huan again. Minor eye bags present under his eyes, Senji chose a particular outfit to act as the one for fighting. It consisted of a dark, form-fitting NoGi style outfit. The differences came in the form of a split in the middle that started off as a wide barren area, only half covering each side of his chest, before stretching down into a slight V that stopped at the bottom of his abs. The ankles and hands were left bare to provide an advantage in terms of touch despite the modicum of protection gloves did provide.

As for the lower body, the only thing of notice was a thin dark purple-blue belt to help keep the waist area secure around his body. He put his arms out towards the heavens, a satisfying "POP" reaching his ears. What would Huan surprise him with today in their "Continue until one drops" spar? That would be the activity until further notice, at least. Finally, Senji went to approach from her front...asking a concluding question.

"Are you ready to begin?"

"I'm always ready." She would reply with a smile as she made the last few stretches before dropping into a stance.

She was wearing a black sports bra paired with matching shorts, not completely unlike what you might see on some MMA fighters, the looked was completed with a pair of fingerless gloves of a hardstrike brand. All in all, a rather plain look that seemed weirdly fitting for Huan, given her background and contrasting well with her anything but plain personality.

"Let's see how you roll without the training wheels." She would say in a playful tone as she focused fearfully on Senji's movements, letting him take the initiative first and preparing for whatever might come her way.

Yes. Her personality. It was far from being eligible to be considered 'plain'. Unlike her, Senji was a fair bit more normal. Of course, it wasn't like he was a cardboard cutout. It was clear there was some baggage underneath the surface he was trying to sort out and it wasn't clear if he'd manage it. But, he shouldn't let that affect Huan for various reasons.

"I'm not 4...", He muttered towards Huan at her training wheels comment.

In terms of the fight, Senji went over possible tactics. He wondered if she would counter a takedown attempt with a strike. There was a physical move that could be used. He should compensate for that, just in case it'd catch her by surprise. If she knew how to sprawl, that'd prove troublesome as well. Senji crouched into a stance, and like a rabid gazelle, he was off towards her. He went low again. However, Senji had mentally prepared himself to be countered in the form of a knee.

If he was correct in his assertion, Senji shifted towards the opposing leg that wouldn't be used for the hypothetical knee. With that done, Senji aimed to tackle her over using a Single Leg Takedown with the typical motions of pulling her leg and pushing his shoulder into the front of her hip on that corresponding side. The mat would reverberate with a small 'SLAM' if said move was successful....

Going for a knee strike would be the most obvious thing to do as a response to a takedown but it had certain disadvantages, for one it could make one easier or push out of balance if it wouldn't stop the opponent. Less explosive option was to sprawl the legs back and lean the body in a direction of the opponent, effectively stopping them from getting leg control and that was exactly what Huan did. This maneuver was closely followed by sliding her hand under Senji's armpit and bringing it up don't his shoulder blades and pushing her palm down, trying to force his hand into an uncomfortable position and circumventing his grip on her. Her other hand would push his head down before being replaced with her thigh as she started throwing elbows at his back.

Well, at least he managed to get Huan on the ground. Her knee on the back of his head was present, disallowing him the ability to ignore it as her thigh forced him down. The shoulder control also made him lose the grip on his leg. However, he needed to circumvent this somehow. He tensed up his back, elbows crashing into it with nearly unstoppable terror. He grunted at the strikes, attempting to use his free arm and push her thigh to the side. After that, Senji went to turn around underneath her and worry about the shoulder situation soon. The best thing now was to not expose his back to Huan.

Having her thigh pushed off Huan would stop her elbow attacks and grab the wrist of Senji's arm, the one already trapped by her, and bring it behind his back. This was meant to limit his movement and allow her to follow him, keeping some control of his side and back as she moved with him. Next, she would push further on his back while bringing her elbow up so that Senji's arm would be hyperextended hopefully forcing him on the mat.

In his shoulder, a pain exploded in that next exchange. She'd gotten behind him, still having control over his back. He was forced into his stomach by reflex, since Senji didn't want to risk tearing something this time. Or rather, it wasn't in his intentions to have something be torn. The free arm went to shoot behind him elbow-first. This was meant to try to clip her in the head somewhere. Hopefully, that'd loosen her grip enough for Senji to slip out of the hammerlock.

Senji, if the escape was successful, committed to the action of trying to turn around and get on his own back. Said action would open his front up it was a better action then his rear being exposed for Huan to claim. He also had both arms to defend and attack with since she'd likely continue grappling because she wasn't standing up. Huan wasn't opposed to setting him straight on the mat itself either, but Senji did not want to lose the roll even if she was his 'master'.

Seeing an elbow coming her way, Huan would disengage, avoiding it but giving Senji enough time to change his position. Keeping fight on the ground was something she saw plenty of times go badly for people too convinced they knew their opponent's next move.

She would waste no time getting on top of her student in a mount. Next, she would grab his left arm and valiantly jank to her left, trying to force an opening which she would use to start punching.

Senji kept it on the ground because that was his strong point. It was similar to Huan and chokes alongside her striking. Senji went to use his right arm to try to block the strikes. That done, he'd begin feeling the gloved knuckles slam against his guard. To compensate for the lost arm, Senji attempted to rectify this. He tried to drive his left arm back in front of his face, as to also fight against the strength she was applying to open him up to a pummeling.

With that done, Senji committed to a final action of thrusting his hips upward and forward. This would serve as a bump to try to destabilize Lei from her full mount.

Senji's defiance was good, she had to give him that. So would be his next move if not for the control she had on his arm. As soon as he trusted his hips she would get to her knees and pull once again to her left, trying to flip him to his side or back before going back down, this time higher up his body.
