High Speed Rematch: Piper Sherwood vs Ruby Blazes (LAW Apex Qualifier)

Piper had managed to catch Ruby's leg which was good. Unfortunately however Piper didn't get so much as a one count from the ref before Ruby managed to kick out, ending any chances of a early win for Piper... even if it would have screwed both over. Either way Piper wasn't out of the woods quite yet. Getting back up to her feet Piper said a leg coming in and just barely managed to raise her arms up, not that she blocked the whole thing, but enough to keep her from getting completely floored.

"Unghhh!" Moaning in pain from the impact Piper nearly lost her balance before looking up with wide eyes as she saw Ruby coming right back for her! 'Shit!" Piper thought, knowing it'd be too later as Ruby's legs wrapped around her head and pulled her down! Immediately Piper would throw her arms forward, trying to catch herself as she made impact with the mat.

"Ngh!" Once again all Piper could do was mitigate the damage done to her, but she was able to also use the momentum to roll forward. Despite the pain in her skull Piper would try to stand and if successful she would turn on her heel and throw her leg back, attempting to slam a kick into Ruby while she would still be sitting on the mat! ....Though Piper herself would collapse after it regardless of if it connected. The combination of the high speed both were going and the blows to her head making the blond ea bit light headed after her attempt to counter attack.

Ruby managed to break the pin and get a kick in but it was blocked. she would follow it up with a hurricarana but that to felt off as Piper managed to mitigate alot of the damage. "damn it!" Ruby panted after Piper hit her back with a kick that knocked her forward. she would roll on to her hands and knees panting looking at PIper who seem to be trying to recover. "no cant let up!" Ruby said as much as she hated pushing her advantage she knew piper and her were at even skill level if she let up for even a moment Piper could get all the momentum. Rushing to Piper Ruby would grab her shoulder and left her up onto her feet.

Ruby wasn't going to let Piper rest she was going to win this again and give a talking ot piper about her choices. she would grab piper arms and Irish whip her to the ropes waiting for her to bounce back so she could drop kick her.

Piper was in a pinch right now. Ruby's barrage of attacks having floored her a bit and making it hard for her to really get a moment to think outside of instinctual counters and strike backs. But as far as definitive advantage that would be hard to find. Whether she wanted to admit it or not Piper knew she and Ruby were near one another skillswise on top of knowing each other so well.

Thats what would make things all the harder. But that was why when Ruby grabbed her arm and hefted Piper up to a standing position the blonde almost automatically knew what it was for. So when she was flung at the ropes Piper knew to hook her arms over the top ropes to keep herself anchored and avoid Ruby's dropkick! Watching Ruby carefully and should the girl land hard after the failed dropkick then Piper would dash forward, leaping up as she did so before shooting her legs down to do a double stomp on her opponent's back!

Ruby knew how well they knew each other as Ruby hefted up Piper and threw her but she didn't realize that piper would catch her self. already in the air Ruby would land on her front catching her self as she grit her teeth before groaning as piper landed on her back both feet stompingo n her back. "ugh!" Ruby groaned as she lay there reaching for her back but piper hit the spot that was hard to reach as she groan unable to easy her pain and reaching back was making it worse.

With some careful planning Piper had managed to reverse what Ruby was trying to do and land a decisive double stomp on the girl's back. It was a move that wouldn't win her the bout, but it would give the blonde the advantage. So dropping down to her knees on Ruby's back Piper would reach over to the Brit's legs crossing them over each other and holding onto her foot to keep them together. If successful Piper would reach around to grab Ruby by the chin with her other hand. "Sorry Ruby." Piper said with some actual regret in her voice before leaning back and extending her knees up to lock Ruby in a bow and arrow hold!

Ruby would groan as she felt knees on her back and then heard Piper tell her sorry. she would get rolled on in a bow and arrow hold as she groan in pain as she tried to endure it. she would grab Pipers hand on her chin and try to pry it off to get off of Pipers knees that was digging in her back. "ugh gah fuck!" Ruby groaned in pain.

Piper growled softly as she leaned back and extended her knees, successfully locking Ruby into the bow and arrow hold. A showy but equally painful hold that highlighted Piper's newfound technical skill, perfect in every way for the blonde's arsenal. Too bad it had to be used on a friend.. Shaking her head to focus herself Piper watched as Ruby started to pry at her hands making the blonde tsk in annoyance. Knowing she wouldn't likely be able to hold the move in place for long Piper would release her hold and push up with her legs to launch Ruby off of her and back down to the mat before standing back up herself.

Ruby would try to get Pipers grip on her chin off but it was piper that stopped the hold and would push her off. Ruby rolled away form piper and on her knees groan her back on fire. but she smiled at Piper a pained smiled trying ot make teh best of this match as she got up and reset her self ready to continue as she rushed at Piper however she wasn't going for any highflying moves as she aimed a punch at pipers side. she was going to do some striking knowing full well doing her norm will put her at a disadvantage they knew each other really well after all.

While bending Ruby was a fun and solid thing to do Piper could tell her room mate was close to breaking free, and the last thing she wanted to deal with was the Brit managing to reverse against her. So Piper forced the girl off, with force which she used to roll away. "Tsk." Clicking her teeth as she kipped up to her feet Piper would slowly circle the girl, expecting another grapple, only to be hit with a punch to the side! "GAH!" Piper hissed in pain before glaring and aiming to respond back with a knee to Ruby's gut!

Ruby would pant as her back hurt like hell but she wasn't out yet as she punched Pipers side and got a good hit on her. she would block the knee to her gut, grabbing it and then twisted befor slaming Pipers down and started to twist her knee trying to apply a knee bar on piper to weaken her leg enough for her to handle. the two relied on speed and Ruby knew that their legs were their best weapons. "I wont lose piper! " ruby yelled as she twisted that knee trying to weaken it.
