A Shadow in Comparison (Kuro and Minami)

Kuro's feet only hit air. She moved as fast as her legs to carry her, tried going for a big move to take Minami off guard, but it failed. Worse, Minami saw it coming and dodged with ease as Kuro's body dropped the mat with a hard thud. The slight pain in her side only a fraction of the hit to her pride and confidence.

"Tch," Kuro clicked her tongue, seeing Minami's foot right over her body. Her body tensed a moment, sucking in a sharp breath before she forced herself to act. Before Minami's strike could hit its mark Kuro took her opponent's words to heart, using her speedy, agile body to roll out of the way of the way of the incoming kick. With enough distance between them Kuro sprang back to her feet, giving Minami a wary look.

"Kuro's not impatient." She snapped back. "It's called be aggressive." And to prove her point, Kuro darted forward again, this time with a short, straight punch aimed for Minami's stomach.

Minami had to admit she hadn't seen someone so... angry and vicious in a while. The evidence was clear just on her way here thanks to the bodies of destroyed green haired woman strewn about the mat. Now seeing this rage first hand Minami was at least able to put together a rough idea of what this so called ninja was about.

Whether she was impressed or not remained to be seen. For now though Minami would be content with stomping the ever loving stuffin out of the girl for making a silly mistake like going for a drop kick right out of the gate. Or so she thought. Rather than a soft body Minami's heel instead met with hard mat as the girl managed to roll her way to freedom.

Hearing the response from her Minami would just smile confidently. "I see." Minami said watching as the girl came running in arm reared back for a punch no doubt. But Minami was ready. Waiting until the last moment Minami would duck low, spinning behind Kuro and wrapping her arms around the girl's waist from behind. "Unfortunately those things aren't mutually exclusive." Minami said in a husky whisper before suddenly pulling backwards, aiming to pull Kuro through the air and send her crashing down to the mat with a german suplex!

The air moved alongside Kuro's clenched fist, ready to slam hard into Minami's gut and get the nicest of reactions from her. But... Kuro's fist only hit air. "Gh-" Kuro's jaw tightened, sweat forming around her forehead. She missed. Not only that but Minami saw it coming and was able to dodge. Shit... Her eyes glanced back, seeing Minami right behind her and giving a shiver as she felt the woman's hands on her waist. The dark whisper alone had Kuro's mind in a panic.

"H-Hey wait!" But there was no pause nor hesitation in her opponent's movements. Kuro's body was hoisted up. She got a wide shot of the lights above before immediately feeling the hard slam against her skull and shoulders. "Graaag-!" Her body jolted on impact, pain shooting up her shoulder, neck, and spine as her eyes clicked out for a split-second. "Y-You bully!" Okay, even Kuro knew that one was hypocritical, but the pout still came out.

Interest plagued Minami's mind from the moment Minami had laid her eyes on the small girl in the ring. She was intense, furious even, and dedicated, as well as skilled and ruthless. All qualities Minami could decipher from a initial look at her. Hell even in the first few minutes of meeting her Minami felt she could make some fairly accurate assessments about the girl.

Yet out of all those hypocrisy was not one Minami had expected to have to add on there. As soon when Kuro called Minami a bully for landing that german suplex. 'Well that's rich.' Minami thought to herself before wasting no time getting to her feet and reaching down to grab Kuro's leg, an action that if successful, she would suddenly pivot on her heels, turning and dropping down to the mat to drive her foe's leg down into the mat wit a dragon screw!

The sores along Kuro's shoulder and neck left her in a bitter daze, sucking in labored breaths as she tried to realign herself. Minami released, but Kuro was slow to rise. The hard hit her body took still had her racked in pain, and her senior immediately took action with that fact. Kuro kept a sharp expression, but it shifted to dread as she felt Minami's hands along her ankle and leg. "H-Hey!" Kuro turned her head, seeing Minami shift her weight and body as she dropped down with Kuro's leg forced to follow. Already she could feel the phantom pain of the drop hit her joint.

"Nonon- Gyaaaaa-![/b]" The impact had Kuro shriek out in both surprise and pain, immediately pulling her injured leg back to clutch her ankle.

She laid there, whimpering in small, panicked breaths to make sure nothing broke, then narrowed her eyes Minami's way. "Raaagh!" With a bitter snarl she started kicking off her good leg to squirm away from the woman, wanting space to recover, needing it.

With a thunderous drop Minami had spiked her foe's leg into the mat with a dragon screw. A move revered for its sheer destructive potential on a specific area to the body. The leg. After all without ones leg in a wrestling match, you were left handicapped, unable to use a majority of moves correctly, if at all. It was for this reason that the dragon screw was one of Minami's favorite wrestling moves that wasn't a submission. Hearing the cries of pain from her foe after landing it was merely confirmation of her preference.

Standing up fully once again with a small smirk Kuro would snarly at her before trying desperately to scramble away, causing Minami to place her hands on her hips with an unreadable expression on her face.

"Well now this wasn't what I was expecting at all." Minami said, looking to follow after Kuro, and if she could make it in time, bend down to grab her ankles faster than the girl could react. If successful Minami would stand up with the limbs in tow. "I thought you had potential oh great kunoichi. Was that all just bravado?" Minami asked, squeezing Kuro's feet tightly, but not doing anything just yet, she wanted Kuro to think about what Minami may have in mind, and more importantly, she wanted to see how the girl would react.

Kuro kicked and inched herself away, desperate for some kind of reprieve from all that punishment. A slow crawl to nowhere safe. No ropes to prop herself up, no edge or corner of the ring to rest on. Dammit... It was a hell of her own making, the attempt to scare Minami did nothing but trap her in a cage of her own making, and the thought turned her stomach. She tried to scramble away, try to keep kicking and moving herself back but to no avail. Minami snatched her up with little effort, lifting Kuro up off the ground while talking down to her.

You-! Her eyes narrowed, grimacing as she felt Minami's hand squeze over her ankle. "Go to hell, Minami-chan!" She snapped. Her face flushed red with rage. Now she had to do something. Letting that taunt go unpunished was a sin by her account. She didn't have any ninja tools or items this time around, but she knew how to use her body in almost every angle. She still had on leg free to use, even if it was her bad one. It'll hurts like a bitch, but... She huffed in Minami's direct. Whatever, pain is pain. She took a sharp break, pulling her free leg back and shooting it out to try kicking Minami hard in stomach to get herself free.

Leisurely walking towards her grounded opponent it didn't all too much effort for Minami to reach down and seize a hold of the girl's foot and keep it firmly in her hands while mocking the girl. Truthfully this is likely the nexus point for what Minami wanted from this spar. She had no desire to see if Kuro had what it took to match her in submissions or skill, in fact the conditions she agreed too were largely just because she knew the girl would only agree if she felt in control.

No what Minami needed to see from this girl was if she had the grit necessary to stare a hungry wolf in the eyes and snarl no in its face. If this was truly just bravado from Kuro and all the lime heads surrounding the ring were really just pathetically weak than Minami had wasted her time. Luckily however Kurow as quick to prove Minami wrong and show she hadn't wasted her time. No sooner had the taunt left her mouth did the ninja suddnely snarl furiously at Minami and respond with a brutal kick to her stomach with her hurt leg. "Ugh!" Minami would grunt as she stumbled back, holding her stomach... but smiling at Kuro all the same.

It didn't get her free, but it sure felt good to get that kick in. Seeing Minami's smirking, smug face jolt a little in pain was a pretty good reward for the immediate pain that followed for using her bad leg. Instantly she felt the sharp shock shoot up her leg, centering around her ankle and shin that had Kuro wincing. Minami still had her in the air, but at least she didn't make an effort to slam her. But as good as that kick felt the smile on Minami's lips was just sickening. The hell? It wasn't as strong as Kuro wanted the kick to be, but Minami's smirk only had her face darken further. "What's so funny, Minami-chan? You like getting kicked by a little girl?"

To make her point she shot her leg out again to nail Minami's face this time, much to body's protest.

Minami had grabbed onto Kuro's leg to stall her and test her mettle as it were. If this outspoken child wanted only to fight the bottom of the barrel to feel superior while barking at bigger beasts than she was ready for with no plans of at least trying to back her words up... Then Minami would have found her time wasted. But her patience was rewarded quite well when Kuro not only fought back, but she fought back with a vengeance. Kicking out at Minami with feet of fury, getting her to double over from the blow.

Naturally the smile that crossed her face didn't leave anytime soon afterwards, something that left Kuro rather... upset and kicking at Minami once again, this time in the face. "Ngh!" Grunting in pain from the blow and forced to release Kuro fully Minami would take a few steps before holding her jaw, rubbing it and... smiling once more. "Far from it." Minami said answering Kuro's question first and foremost before continuing. "I'm just glad to see I'm not wasting my time after all." Minami said with a small smirk while waiting to see how Kuro responded.
