Cheryl Williams vs Korra the Enforcer - Apex Qualifier

Her last qualifier match was ahead of her, and the fact that it was with someone built like a monster in Korra should have scared her. But Cheryl saw the silver lining in the tough spot she was being put in when she accepted, she had the chance to win and make a statement about how the cheerleader could take on anyone. Amber was on her side when she came out wanting to support her in this match, and after what happened with Roni something told her that Amber was not about to stay behind and risk another mean bitch trying to break her arm or something else. Stepping out when her music started to play, pom poms flying when Cheryl was stepping out beside her blonde partner.

"Hey Amber, I think they know who we are." Cheryl said. The brunette didn't want to disappoint her growing fanbase with her performance outside the ring or in it but she was a little subdued in how she moved around...Another reason Amber was out here, she wanted to not do anything that might wear her out before the match actually started. Might be a precaution that meant nothing but when dealing with a brute like Korra the more cautious the better. Instead of leaping into the ring she hopped up the steps and into the ring where she did a few twirls, removed her pom poms and got herself ready for the match, thinking up ways to counter Korra's raw strength.

“Could have fooled me!” Amber just loved this. They were still coming out together but for a match to help Cheryl. Amber wanted to be here to show that she was behind her friend no matter what she tried to do. When they came out Amber stayed behind Cheryl and pumped up her Pom poke trying to pump up the crowd. Letting her go in the ring Amber danced on the outside before taking a mic in hand. “So despite us both being in the tag team gauntlet for some reason LAW wants Cheryl to wrestle more matches because they decided not to count that and give my girl her true rank. Lame. But if you thought such trifling was going to stop us you’d be wrong. Right now that wrestling machine in red is going to show you why this team can do it all. It doesn’t matter how big or strong you are when you step in our ring you better prepare to be outworked in every way because we ar- ”

Korra’s music stopped any such boasting and soon the main attraction stepped out with a snicker. She stared right at Cheryl and started to step down to the ring as Amber lost her concentration. While she was confident Cheryl could still win she hated that she was going in the ring with her. In fact it was the real reason she was staying close. Korra had tried to break one girls back and broken another girls face already almost every match she had been in she tried to hurt someone. She was going to make sure this bitch ate a chainsaw before she ever dared hurt Cheryl like that. While she gave her all the looks she could Korra didn’t even spit in her direction. All she saw was Cheryl and before long she was standing in front of her looking down on her friend. “LAW’s been good to me. I needed a toothpick and they give me one. I’ll be sure to thank them. Hope you have more punch than pom poms because a cheer won’t save you.”

Amber's nonstop energy helped her hype up what was setting up to be one of the toughest matches Cheryl did by herself, everyone else she had faced one on one had at least been within her size, but Korra was a few feet bigger and much stronger. She wasn't intimidated, and tried to remind herself of that when the fighter made her appearance looking at her like she was tonight's entertainment for her and not her opponent. She had to look up at her when she was face to face to her but she made sure to look Korra in the eye, refusing to let herself be scared by this monster.

"Punch, kick, and a number of submissions to go around if that's what it takes." Cheryl said, eyes still on Korra. She wanted to give Amber a look to let her know she was fine but she knew not to take her eyes off this woman, she was known to use that to her advantage. She only backed off when the ref told her too and prepared to start the match while thinking up ways to take Korra down and win this thing, and prove that she belonged in this ring.

“You can hit me with all the submissions you want but you’ll never make me tap out.” Cheryl’s bravado facing down her demise was kind of cute even if it was fruitless to think she could stop her. “She’ll snap every limb you got you thug!” Korra’s eye snapped to Amber. “I’m glad you have support. She can make you feel better while you rest in the hospital.” Once the match would start she could do everything she wanted to Cheryl. Then she would see how confident Amber looked. She backed up slowly but rushed the ref for the bell until it started. The Enforcer had been unleashed once again. Woe to the Pom Pom Punchers.

A few short words in and Korra seemed to be as thuggish and rude as she had been led to believe she was, this was not going to be a friendly match. Cheryl didn't bother wasting any more words on someone like her until the match actually started, and would go to her corner as instructed where she was next to Amber. "Listen I'm not expecting her to cheat but still I would keep your eyes out, you have a better view of what she's doing than me, just watch her for me please?" Cheryl asked her friend before she turned to Korra. The size difference concerned her but despite her large frame Cheryl could already see ways to bend her limbs in ways that would make the big brute crumble.

"Start with her legs, bend the rest of her and then target the arms. First i'll have to knock her off her feet." Cheryl said to herself. She knew what her plan was but when the bell rang she felt her unease grow, this was not a match that a good strategy could comfort her with. Korra was bigger and stronger than anyone she had faced solo before and Cheryl knew that she had to watch every step she made to overcome her.

Korra didn’t need to do anything until she could actually start wrestling where she casually moved closer to Cheryl who she could tell was having some remorse stepping in this ring. Far too late for those feelings now. Korra considered mockingly asking for a test of strength but she wasn’t going to give Cheryl an invite to strike on something no one would expect her to accept. Instead Korra just knew to step in closer until she could run in and lock up with Cheryl pushing her close to the ropes and trying to choke her back against them before giving her a slap to the face. That got Amber to react. “Ref! She’s on the ropes get her ass off of her!”

All she could do now was work out a way to bring the bigger fighter down, worrying about the strength difference was just going to make it harder on her. Cheryl knew that no matter how tough you were all of your limbs still bent the same and she was going to twist Korra into a knot to win if she had to. She moved in to start when Korra suddenly moved to grab her, starting a lock up that Cheryl quickly matched to stay at an advantage, before she was quickly forced into the ropes where the ref would move in to demand they break apart. She didn't even get that far before Korra just gave her a hard slap to the face, a sign of disrespect that hurt more physically.

"Aggh!" Cheryl groaned, her head snapping to the left. Cheryl wanted to go low and rub her cheek under the protection of the now angry ref, but she knew that she needed to start making a stand now. So as quickly as she got slapped she would turn and throw one of her own trying to make it harder than Korra's and show her that Cheryl wouldn't be intimidated.

The little bitch turned so quickly from her simple slap and the fans were livid like she kicked a dog. Such pussies had never seen a real fight and this cheerleader barely seen anything outside a gym. “That was a slap. You might have felt that in some locker room scrap with a stupid blonde but that’s how a real one feels. I haven’t even punched you yet.” Korra’s mocking was only slowed by the ref stepping up in an surprising act of bravery since Korra could smack her to the ground. She almost backed away when something struck her. The loud smack made Korra turn from the ref to Amber who watched the scene with shock before going berserk! “YEEEAAAHBH EAT THAT BITCH!” The crowd got loud as well all of them loved what they just saw. Cheryl smacked Korra so hard she spat out and stepped back. She actually felt a smidge of respect for Cheryl showing some brass, that was promptly buried in the mounting rage she felt. “dDid you think you can disrespect me?” Korra raised her arm and ran in to punch Cheryl right in the face.

Cheryl got a pop smacking Korra's smile off, and she had to admit hearing that and Amber losing it in joy made her feel good. Not even Korra staring at her with murderous eyes made her regret it when she knew that meant she was going to do something predictable. Suddenly Korra threw a punch her way and tried to knock Cheryl out with her first real attack, but Cheryl knew what to do with that and ducked running under it to avoid Korra's potential knockout blow.

"I'm just keeping up with traditions, Don't be a sourpuss." Cheryl said moving behind Korra and seeing her moment to strike, acting quickly and throwing a kick to Korra's leg. She would back away once she had hit her to make Korra keep chasing after her, stamina was one of her strengths and if needed she could wear Korra down to win while weakening her legs.

Her punch was dodged and Korra would end up bumping into the ropes right before she felt Cheryl tag her leg with her foot. The kick from the cheerleader felt rough but it was nothing compared to the many times she had been kicked by bigger and stronger opponents. If Cheryl thought was a tree she could cut down she was using an awfully small axe. Korra kicked the mat with the leg she hit to prove a point before she would rush in and show her own speed. She was faster and bigger and would prove it by throwing punches to Cheryl’s face or chest to see how much the punchers name was good for.
