Taking Flight! Kaguya Hojo vs Valkyrie

Unread post by Bare »

Kaguya had to take a deep breath to collect herself backstage as she prepared for her first ever public match in LAW. It was a big night, and while she had wrestled plenty of sparring matches against her fellow lionesses and teachers, along with handful of dark bouts, this would be her first match in front of a full crowd... even if it was basically in the worst slot of the night. But everyone has to start somewhere! Thats what some of her fellow lionesses had said and Kaguya firmly believed in this words herself. Wearing her basic one piece attire Kaguya had to admit she looked rather plain and boring, but that was simply part of the deal with the program. "It'll just mean I have to impress with my skills!" Kaguya said to herself with a nod as she got the ok from the worker to make her entrance.

Walking out as confidently as possible to the generic pop music all idols were assigned Kaguya couldn't help but lament slightly in disappointment. 'I really wish I could use one of our songs.' She thought to herself, knowing her idol group had a plethora of songs that would fit her. But once again it just came with the territory. So keeping her smile on her face Kaguya did her best to stay calm as she came down the ramp, nodding and posing for the fans who gave an at least somewhat warm welcome despite having never seen her before. Either way once she made it to the ring Kaguya would give them something to clap for. So leaping up onto the rope ropes she would flip off them, doing a somersault in the air before landing in a perfect split in the ring which definitely got people cheering!

Smiling a bit wider as she got up Kaguya would look up at the ramp and nod excitedly as she waited for her opponent. She didn't know much about the girl, but anyone with the name Valkyrie just had to be tough! So with that in mind Kaguya would place her hands on her knees, looking up with a ready expression as she prepared herself, looking to shine as brightly as possible in her debut!

Valkyrie’s theme song played up and the young lioness shows up on stage. She was scheduled to fight Kaguya in this match. While it wasn’t her debut match, it was still one of the very first encounters she’s had in LAW. She was wearing a very barebones two piece attire with black top and black tops, along with black boots and knee pads. The crowd reacted mildly to her entrance and she didn’t waste too much time with theantrics either. She walked down the isle and quickly rolled inside the ring, before straightening herself up and staring down her opponent Kaguya who was rocking a very tight one piece suite.

Valkyrie was very motivated as she wanted to make a good impression not only to the crowd but to the LAW trainers as well. Her debut didn’t turn out the way she was hoping for and this was a prime opportunity to turn things around and have her moment. ‘I must not fail tonight. I have to do this.’ She muttered between herself. She knew this wasn’t going to be easy. Having watched some of Kaguya’s tapes she knew her opponent was quite the technical wrestler and knew how to work submission holds with efficiency. Being an agile high flyer, Valkyrie felt as if Kaguya could have easily put her in a lot of trouble with her style.

Valkyrie nodded at the referee as the time keeper rang the bell to get things started. The match started off right away as Valkyrie would immediately go for an initial lock up, a collar and elbow predicament to be precise. She felt as if getting things close and personal off the bat was the best way to get a feel of her opponent early on and see what type of offense Kaguya was going to bring to the table here tonight.

Kaguya smiled pleasantly as she saw the girl named Valkyrie come down the ramp and into the ring with a grin on her face. She had seen some videos of Valkyrie from her training and her debut match and knew the girl was already quite proficient in high flying skills, as well as some submissions. A very similar style as Kaguya herself. So this match promised to be quite the spectacle! Not to mention one that would serve as a excellent introduction for Kaguya to the LAW audience with it serving as her first official match.

Giving a quick wave to Valkyrie as she entered the ring Kaguya would take another quick inspection of the girl before the bell would ring. 'Aw I was hoping she would wear one of the colorful outfits she had.' Kaguya thought to herself while bouncing on her heels. 'Luckily we're similar body types at least so strength won't be too much of a factor, likewise we're near each other's skill level, so thats a non factor as well. Guess it's just gonna come down to who slips up first.' Kaguya thought to herself analytically until finally the bell rang, prompting the girl to dart forward, looking to meet her opponent in the center of the ring with a lock up!

"Guess we had a similar idea huh?" Kaguya said, deciding to banter with her opponent a bit as she pushed and jockeyed for position against the woman with a determined look on her face. As she did so however Kaguya knew that she would have to do something soon to turn things to her advantage, lest she wait to long and expend energy, or worse yet give her opponent an opportunity. So dropping one of her opponent's hands Kaguya would duck low to her side as she spun around her opponent, trying to catch the girl with a wrist lock!

The two locked horns early on and Valkyrie felt as if she was going to wrestle a pretty even match, since both of them had similar movesets and size. Just like that, the two tangled up in an initial collar and elbow tie up, with neither of them really being able to get the other to back up, possibly because neither one of them was truly able to overpower the other. Kaguya then caught Valkyrie by surprise with a nice transition, ducking under her arm and applying a nice wrist lock. Nothing too fancy nor powerful, but a decent control hold meant to let the opponent know she wasn’t playing around.

Valkyrie grunted and slapped her her shoulder in frustration as her opponent kept control of her arm in the wrist lock. “I need to figure out something fast.” Valkyrie muttered to herself while Kaguya kept control of her arm. Being in that predicament was dangerous, not so much for the wrist lock in itself as it wasn’t particularly painful, rather for the several transition Kaguya could’ve gone for which would’ve allowed her to apply more dangerous holds. Knowing her opponent was quite the technical wrestler, Valkyrie knew she had to move fast and keep her guessing.

As such, Valkyrie would try and reach the hands of Kaguya with her free hand, possibly trying to pry her trapped wrist free, before ducking under Kaguya’s arm and applying a wrist lock of her own. The crowd would probably appreciate the technical prowess being shown here, however Valkyrie wouldn’t stop there. Instead, she’d use this position to elegantly reposition herself right behind her opponent, let go of the arm and wrap her hands firmly around the waist of Kaguya with a tight waist lock. Keeping her abdomen glued to Kaguya’s back, Valkyrie wanted to wear down her opponent a little and possibly wrestle her down to the mat in this very technical bout.

Right off the bat things were starting off technical between Kaguya and Valkyrie. Each girl battling and jockeying against one another from a tie up right into a wrist lock from Kaguya to her opponent. It was a simple move, but one that would insure Kaguya could maintain some control over her opponent and hopefully get her into a true submission to really lay in some pain and take a decisive lead in this bout.

Unfortunately for her however Valkyrie seemed to be fairly skill in technical wrestler as well. Before Kaguya had the chance to do anything further or press her slight advantage further she found her grip over her opponent's wrist reversed before her opponent got around her, locking a pair of hands around her with a tight waist lock! "Ngh! Dang.." The dark haired girl said under her breath as she gripped and grabbed at the hands locked around her, trying to at least somewhat pull them away for a bit of breathing room.

As she did so she would also buck and thrash a bit. If that didn't work Kaguya would try throwing her arms back, attempting to elbow her opponent in the sides to loosen her grip. If she was able to do so Kaguya would reach behind her to hook her hand behind her opponent's shoulders before pivoting on her foot, turning sharply and attempting to pull her opponent over her. Attempting to try and pull Valkyrie off of her and slam her into the mat with a hip toss! A position that Kaguya would try and take advantage of by trying to drop down on top of the girl to try and trap her in a headlock!

The match was definitely going to be evenly matched as neither one of the two wanted to give the opponent a clear opening. Instead, they’d keep jockeying for position in this battle of attrition. Valkyrie worked the waist lock for a bit, really grinding her opponent midsection but eventually Kaguya started to fight back, first by trying to pry her hands open and then by delivering a series of stiff elbow shots to Valkyrie’s midsection. Valkyrie grunted after each one of those shots, as her grip was progressively becoming loose.

Kaguya took advantage right away and sent her down with an hip toss. Valkyrie dropped down ass first, a very stiff landing that left her stunned on the mat. She didn’t have time to recover however, as Kaguya immediately dropped on top her and locked her in a grounded headlock. Kaguya’s back was positioned right on top of Valkyrie as her head was stuck underneath Kaguya’s left armpit. The hold was very well applied and Valkyrie had a difficult time breathing regularly.

She had to think of a counter fast, as to not get worn out by Kaguya’s technical prowess. Valkyrie tried to use the position of the two bodies to her advantage by slowly gluing her own body against the back of her opponent, and then work her right leg up and over Kaguya’s head, trying to effectively wrap it around her neck and then push her back… the intent was to force her opponent to let go of the headlock while simultaneously trapping her in a tight head scissor in the middle of the ring. If successful, Valkyrie would make sure to plant the palms of her hands on the mat as to get a decent balanced base to work the hold and then she would tie her ankles together in a knot, while the back her right knee pad was firmly pressed against the neck of Kaguya. Her opponent was definitely on fire and Valkyrie knew she had to slow down the pace a little and soften Kaguya up some. The headscissor was the perfect way to achieve both.

Kaguya smirked slightly as she managed to pull Valkyrie off her feet and down onto the mat below her. Fully managing to break the girl's waist lock and turn it into an advantage for herself by managing to bring the other girl down onto the mat and then drop down on top for a tight grounded headlock! "You're pretty good so far!" Kaguya complimented to her downed opponent with a small grin on her face. The dominant position she was in helping her feel confident enough to speak to her opponent so casually.

But it was this casualness that maybe came to bit her in the ass. Because while she spoke she felt her opponent's body sliding further and further up her own. Something that Kaguya wrote off as her opponent's struggling. Something that she would soon realize was a massive rookie mistake because before she realized it the legs of her opponent came wrapping around her head!

"Mph!" Gasping in surprise as she was pulled down to the mat, grasping and punching Valkyrie's legs as she struggled in the girl's leggy vice grip. 'Dang it... need to do something quick.' Kaguya thought to herself as she grabbed onto and squeezed Valkyrie's legs. Luckily for her, even though this was a tight and well executed hold, there was one solid way she can turn things around. Pushing forward with her feet Kaguya would attempt to push herself forward, trying to fold the girl in half to press her shoulders against the mat for a pinfall attempt!

Things were getting real technical as Valkyrie has Kaguya trapped on the mat in a very tight headscissor. She made sure to press and squeeze as hard as she could to prevent her opponent from moving. Kaguya was showing insane amounts of energy and Valkyrie knew she had to slow the pace down a little, keep things mat based and technical as to not allow her opponent to really get her offense going. That was easier said than done however, as Kaguya was already showing signs of not giving up. She was instead wiggling all over the place, making it hard for Valkyrie to keep a good grip of the hold. Then she started using her fists and hands to deliver blows to Valkyrie’s body, which made her scissors a little loose in response.

Kaguya expertly decided to transition to a different position as she pressed the legs of Valkyrie upwards and pinned her down to the mat. She clearly wasn’t expecting a pinfall this early, but the strategy was sound. In fact, Valkyrie was pretty much forced to release the scissors if she wanted to kick out… keeping her opponent locked in was gonna be extremely difficult for her. However she did wanted to try and see if she could pull this very difficult counter off.

While keeping her legs firmly tangled around the neck of Kaguya, Valkyrie would try and use her abdominal strength to push her opponent right back, hoping her precarious balance would force her right back to the mat. Obviously even if Valkyrie was successful in her attempt she still probably had to reposition herself a little and move her butt around to make sure the headscissor was back in. She was hoping that this constant back and forth would have at least tired her opponent out a little…

Alternatively if Valkyrie was not successful in her attempt, Kaguya would have broken free from her grip. In that case, Valkyrie would hop on her feet and regain a vertical position as quick as she could, however she’d definitely would make it up after Kaguya had, leaving her opponent room for a follow up move as the two were standing up.

Kaguya grunted and groaned as she resisted and smacked at her opponent's thighs, attempting to get the grip around her neck to lessen a bit, something that she was having slow but definitely progress towards as she felt things loosening around her. So to try and counter and hopefully get the hold off of her neck all together Kaguya scooted forward, trying to fold Valkyrie up and pin her with her own legs as the grip!

But as she did so Kaguya could feel her opponent doing something. Shifting her legs and rebalancing until... "Nghhh!" Kaguya grunted in protest against the thighs of Valkyria as she struggled and grunted still. 'Thats not good.' Kaguya thought to herself as she slapped at her opponent's thighs. 'But...' Kaguya thought to herself as she shifted and shimmied, confirming what she had thought in that her opponent scissor hold had significantly loosened after that reversal!

'Ok I can work with that.' Kaguya thought to herself as she reached up, trying to grab at her opponents feet to try and pull them apart to fully free herself. If she managed to do so however Kaguya would turn on her side while holding onto one of Valkyrie's feet in a effort to keep her from escaping or getting up. If she did so successfully Kaguya would throw her own legs around Valkyrie's leg, squeezing while pulling her opponent's leg to the side and twisting her ankle all at once for a leg bar!

Valkyrie somehow managed to work Kaguya back in the headscissor however the constant back and forth between the two forced her to loosen up her legs a little. Kaguya expertly took advantage of the predicament and used the situation to escape the hold. Kaguya first slapped the legs of Valkyrie to get some more room to maneuver and make it uncomfortable for her to keep working the hold, then she repositioned herself to lock Valkyrie’s let leg in a tight leg bar right in the middle of the ring.

“NO!” Valkyrie let out a scream as a Kaguya cozied herself up and wrapped her body around the leg of Valkyrie, twisting and pulling the ankle all over. Valkyrie had a history of injuries to that very left leg, despite her rather short career thus far. She was wondering whether or not Kaguya has watched her tapes before the match and was aware of her leg injury. Regardless she had a good hold going now and Valkyrie definitely looked as if she was worried, more than hurt. In fact, she was worried that that very leg could become a bullseye for Kaguya to work over throughout the match.

Valkyrie tried to reach for the ropes but they were rather far. No way she could get there from where they were. All she could do from that predicament was to use her free leg to kick and stomp at the body of Kaguya, to try and either force her to reposition or at least make it more uncomfortable for her to keep the hold locked in. She was definitely very good at submissions, which is why Valkyrie wanted to get out of there as soon as possible…
